۞ إِذَا Idha

وَقَعَتِ waqa'ati

ٱلۡوَاقِعَةُ Alwaqi'ahu

١

56:1 When occurs the Event,

لَیۡسَ laysa

لِوَقۡعَتِهَا liwaq'atiha

كَاذِبَةٌ kadhibahun

٢

56:2 Not at its occurrence a denial

خَافِضَةࣱ khafidah

رَّافِعَةٌ rrafi'ahun

٣

56:3 Bringing down, raising up,

إِذَا Idha

رُجَّتِ rujjati

ٱلۡأَرۡضُ AlArdu

رَجࣰّا rajja

٤

56:4 When will be shaken the earth (with) a shaking,

وَبُسَّتِ wabussati

ٱلۡجِبَالُ Aljibalu

بَسࣰّا bassa

٥

56:5 And will be crumbled the mountains (with awful) crumbling.

فَكَانَتۡ fakanat

هَبَاۤءࣰ habaa'

مُّنۢبَثࣰّا mmunbaththa

٦

56:6 So they become dust particles dispersing.

وَكُنتُمۡ wakuntum

أَزۡوَ ٰجࣰا Azwaaja

ثَلَـٰثَةࣰ thalaathah

٧

56:7 And you will become kinds three.

فَأَصۡحَـٰبُ faAshaabu

ٱلۡمَیۡمَنَةِ Almaymanahi

مَاۤ maa

أَصۡحَـٰبُ Ashaabu

ٱلۡمَیۡمَنَةِ Almaymanahi

٨

56:8 Then (the) companions (of) the right, what (are the) companions (of) the right?

وَأَصۡحَـٰبُ waAshaabu

ٱلۡمَشۡءَمَةِ Almash'amahi

مَاۤ maa

أَصۡحَـٰبُ Ashaabu

ٱلۡمَشۡءَمَةِ Almash'amahi

٩

56:9 And (the) companions (of) the left, what (are the) companions (of) the left?

وَٱلسَّـٰبِقُونَ waAssaabiquna

ٱلسَّـٰبِقُونَ Assaabiquna

١٠

56:10 And the foremost (are) the foremost,

أُو۟لَـٰۤىِٕكَ Aulaaika

ٱلۡمُقَرَّبُونَ Almuqarrabuna

١١

56:11 Those (are) the nearest ones.

فِی fi

جَنَّـٰتِ jannaati

ٱلنَّعِیمِ Anna'imi

١٢

56:12 In Gardens (of) Pleasure,

ثُلَّةࣱ thullah

مِّنَ mmina

ٱلۡأَوَّلِینَ AlAwwalina

١٣

56:13 A company of the former (people),

وَقَلِیلࣱ waqalil

مِّنَ mmina

ٱلۡءَاخِرِینَ Al'akhirina

١٤

56:14 And a few of the later (people),

عَلَىٰ 'alaa

سُرُرࣲ surur

مَّوۡضُونَةࣲ mmawdunah

١٥

56:15 On thrones decorated,

مُّتَّكِءِینَ mmuttaki'ina

عَلَیۡهَا 'alayha

مُتَقَـٰبِلِینَ mutaqaabilina

١٦

56:16 Reclining, on them facing each other.

یَطُوفُ yatufu

عَلَیۡهِمۡ 'alayhim

وِلۡدَ ٰنࣱ wildaan

مُّخَلَّدُونَ mmukhalladuna

١٧

56:17 Will circulate among them boys immortal,

بِأَكۡوَابࣲ biAkwab

وَأَبَارِیقَ waAbariqa

وَكَأۡسࣲ wakaAs

مِّن mmin

مَّعِینࣲ mma'in

١٨

56:18 With vessels and jugs and a cup from a flowing stream,

لَّا lla

یُصَدَّعُونَ yusadda'una

عَنۡهَا 'anha

وَلَا wala

یُنزِفُونَ yunzifuna

١٩

56:19 Not they will get headache therefrom and not they will get intoxicated

وَفَـٰكِهَةࣲ wafaakihah

مِّمَّا mmimma

یَتَخَیَّرُونَ yatakhayyaruna

٢٠

56:20 And fruits of what they select,

وَلَحۡمِ walahmi

طَیۡرࣲ tayr

مِّمَّا mmimma

یَشۡتَهُونَ yashtahuna

٢١

56:21 And (the) flesh (of) fowls of what they desire.

وَحُورٌ wahurun

عِینࣱ 'in

٢٢

56:22 And fair ones (with) large eyes,

كَأَمۡثَـٰلِ kaAmthaali

ٱللُّؤۡلُوِٕ Alluuluwi

ٱلۡمَكۡنُونِ Almaknuni

٢٣

56:23 Like pearls well-protected,

جَزَاۤءَۢ jazaa'a

بِمَا bima

كَانُوا۟ kanua

یَعۡمَلُونَ ya'maluna

٢٤

56:24 A reward for what they used (to) do.

لَا la

یَسۡمَعُونَ yasma'una

فِیهَا fiha

لَغۡوࣰا laghwa

وَلَا wala

تَأۡثِیمًا taAthimana

٢٥

56:25 Not they will hear therein vain talk and not sinful (speech),

إِلَّا Illa

قِیلࣰا qila

سَلَـٰمࣰا salaama

٢٦

56:26 Except a saying, "Peace, Peace."

وَأَصۡحَـٰبُ waAshaabu

ٱلۡیَمِینِ Alyamini

مَاۤ maa

أَصۡحَـٰبُ Ashaabu

ٱلۡیَمِینِ Alyamini

٢٧

56:27 And (the) companions (of) the right, what (are the) companions (of) the right?

فِی fi

سِدۡرࣲ sidr

مَّخۡضُودࣲ mmakhdud

٢٨

56:28 Among lote trees thornless,

وَطَلۡحࣲ watalh

مَّنضُودࣲ mmandud

٢٩

56:29 And banana trees layered,

وَظِلࣲّ wazill

مَّمۡدُودࣲ mmamdud

٣٠

56:30 And shade extended,

وَمَاۤءࣲ wamaa'

مَّسۡكُوبࣲ mmaskub

٣١

56:31 And water poured forth,

وَفَـٰكِهَةࣲ wafaakihah

كَثِیرَةࣲ kathirah

٣٢

56:32 And fruit abundant,

لَّا lla

مَقۡطُوعَةࣲ maqtu'ah

وَلَا wala

مَمۡنُوعَةࣲ mamnu'ah

٣٣

56:33 Not limited and not forbidden,

وَفُرُشࣲ wafurush

مَّرۡفُوعَةٍ mmarfu'ahin

٣٤

56:34 And (on) couches raised.

إِنَّاۤ Innaa

أَنشَأۡنَـٰهُنَّ AnshaAnaahunna

إِنشَاۤءࣰ Inshaa'

٣٥

56:35 Indeed, We [We] have produced them (into) a creation,

فَجَعَلۡنَـٰهُنَّ faja'alnaahunna

أَبۡكَارًا Abkarana

٣٦

56:36 And We have made them virgins,

عُرُبًا 'urubana

أَتۡرَابࣰا Atraba

٣٧

56:37 Devoted, equals in age.

لِّأَصۡحَـٰبِ lliAshaabi

ٱلۡیَمِینِ Alyamini

٣٨

56:38 For (the) companions (of) the right,

ثُلَّةࣱ thullah

مِّنَ mmina

ٱلۡأَوَّلِینَ AlAwwalina

٣٩

56:39 A company of the former people,

وَثُلَّةࣱ wathullah

مِّنَ mmina

ٱلۡءَاخِرِینَ Al'akhirina

٤٠

56:40 And a company of the later people.

وَأَصۡحَـٰبُ waAshaabu

ٱلشِّمَالِ Ashshimali

مَاۤ maa

أَصۡحَـٰبُ Ashaabu

ٱلشِّمَالِ Ashshimali

٤١

56:41 And (the) companions (of) the left, what (are the) companions (of) the left?

فِی fi

سَمُومࣲ samum

وَحَمِیمࣲ wahamim

٤٢

56:42 In scorching fire and scalding water,

وَظِلࣲّ wazill

مِّن mmin

یَحۡمُومࣲ yahmum

٤٣

56:43 And a shade of black smoke,

لَّا lla

بَارِدࣲ barid

وَلَا wala

كَرِیمٍ karimin

٤٤

56:44 Not cool and not pleasant.

إِنَّهُمۡ Innahum

كَانُوا۟ kanua

قَبۡلَ qabla

ذَ ٰلِكَ dhaalika

مُتۡرَفِینَ mutrafina

٤٥

56:45 Indeed, they were before that indulging in affluence.

وَكَانُوا۟ wakanua

یُصِرُّونَ yusirruna

عَلَى 'alaa

ٱلۡحِنثِ Alhinthi

ٱلۡعَظِیمِ Al'azimi

٤٦

56:46 And were persisting in the sin the great,

وَكَانُوا۟ wakanua

یَقُولُونَ yaquluna

أَىِٕذَا Aaidha

مِتۡنَا mitna

وَكُنَّا wakunna

تُرَابࣰا turaba

وَعِظَـٰمًا wa'izaamana

أَءِنَّا A'inna

لَمَبۡعُوثُونَ lamab'uthuna

٤٧

56:47 And they used (to) say, "When we die and become dust and bones, will we surely be resurrected?

أَوَ Awa

ءَابَاۤؤُنَا 'abaauuna

ٱلۡأَوَّلُونَ AlAwwaluna

٤٨

56:48 And also our forefathers?

قُلۡ qul

إِنَّ Inna

ٱلۡأَوَّلِینَ AlAwwalina

وَٱلۡءَاخِرِینَ waAl'akhirina

٤٩

56:49 Say, "Indeed, the former and the later people

لَمَجۡمُوعُونَ lamajmu'una

إِلَىٰ Ilaa

مِیقَـٰتِ miqaati

یَوۡمࣲ yawm

مَّعۡلُومࣲ mma'lum

٥٠

56:50 Surely, will be gathered for (the) appointment (of) a Day well-known."

ثُمَّ thumma

إِنَّكُمۡ Innakum

أَیُّهَا Ayyuha

ٱلضَّاۤلُّونَ Addaalluna

ٱلۡمُكَذِّبُونَ Almukadhdhibuna

٥١

56:51 "Then indeed you, O those astray! the deniers,

لَءَاكِلُونَ la'akiluna

مِن min

شَجَرࣲ shajar

مِّن mmin

زَقُّومࣲ zaqqum

٥٢

56:52 Will surely eat from (the) tree of Zaqqum.

فَمَالِءُونَ famali'una

مِنۡهَا minha

ٱلۡبُطُونَ Albutuna

٥٣

56:53 Then will fill with it the bellies,

فَشَـٰرِبُونَ fashaaribuna

عَلَیۡهِ 'alayhi

مِنَ mina

ٱلۡحَمِیمِ Alhamimi

٥٤

56:54 And drink over it [from] the scalding water,

فَشَـٰرِبُونَ fashaaribuna

شُرۡبَ shurba

ٱلۡهِیمِ Alhimi

٥٥

56:55 And will drink (as) drinking (of) the thirsty camels."

هَـٰذَا haadha

نُزُلُهُمۡ nuzuluhum

یَوۡمَ yawma

ٱلدِّینِ Addini

٥٦

56:56 This (is) their hospitality (on the) Day (of) Judgment.

نَحۡنُ nahnu

خَلَقۡنَـٰكُمۡ khalaqnaakum

فَلَوۡلَا falawla

تُصَدِّقُونَ tusaddiquna

٥٧

56:57 We [We] created you, so why (do) not you admit the truth?

أَفَرَءَیۡتُم Afara'aytum

مَّا mma

تُمۡنُونَ tumnuna

٥٨

56:58 Do you see what you emit?

ءَأَنتُمۡ 'aAntum

تَخۡلُقُونَهُۥۤ takhluqunahu

أَمۡ Am

نَحۡنُ nahnu

ٱلۡخَـٰلِقُونَ Alkhaaliquna

٥٩

56:59 Is it you who create it or (are) We the Creators?

نَحۡنُ nahnu

قَدَّرۡنَا qaddarna

بَیۡنَكُمُ baynakumu

ٱلۡمَوۡتَ Almawta

وَمَا wama

نَحۡنُ nahnu

بِمَسۡبُوقِینَ bimasbuqina

٦٠

56:60 We [We] have decreed among you the death and not We (are) outrun,

عَلَىٰۤ 'alaa

أَن An

نُّبَدِّلَ nnubaddila

أَمۡثَـٰلَكُمۡ Amthaalakum

وَنُنشِئَكُمۡ wanunshieakum

فِی fi

مَا ma

لَا la

تَعۡلَمُونَ ta'lamuna

٦١

56:61 In that We (will) change your likeness[es] and produce you in what not you know.

وَلَقَدۡ walaqad

عَلِمۡتُمُ 'alimtumu

ٱلنَّشۡأَةَ AnnashAha

ٱلۡأُولَىٰ AlAulaa

فَلَوۡلَا falawla

تَذَكَّرُونَ tadhakkaruna

٦٢

56:62 And certainly you know the creation the first, so why not you take heed?

أَفَرَءَیۡتُم Afara'aytum

مَّا mma

تَحۡرُثُونَ tahruthuna

٦٣

56:63 And do you see what you sow?

ءَأَنتُمۡ 'aAntum

تَزۡرَعُونَهُۥۤ tazra'unahu

أَمۡ Am

نَحۡنُ nahnu

ٱلزَّ ٰرِعُونَ Azzaari'una

٦٤

56:64 Is it you (who) cause it to grow or (are) We the Ones Who grow?

لَوۡ law

نَشَاۤءُ nashaa'u

لَجَعَلۡنَـٰهُ laja'alnaahu

حُطَـٰمࣰا hutaama

فَظَلۡتُمۡ fazaltum

تَفَكَّهُونَ tafakkahuna

٦٥

56:65 If We willed We (would) surely, make it debris, then you would remain wondering,

إِنَّا Inna

لَمُغۡرَمُونَ lamughramuna

٦٦

56:66 "Indeed, we surely are laden with debt,

بَلۡ bal

نَحۡنُ nahnu

مَحۡرُومُونَ mahrumuna

٦٧

56:67 Nay, we (are) deprived."

أَفَرَءَیۡتُمُ Afara'aytumu

ٱلۡمَاۤءَ Almaa'a

ٱلَّذِی Alladhi

تَشۡرَبُونَ tashrabuna

٦٨

56:68 Do you see the water, which you drink?

ءَأَنتُمۡ 'aAntum

أَنزَلۡتُمُوهُ Anzaltumuhu

مِنَ mina

ٱلۡمُزۡنِ Almuzni

أَمۡ Am

نَحۡنُ nahnu

ٱلۡمُنزِلُونَ Almunziluna

٦٩

56:69 Is it you who send it down from the rain clouds, or We (are) the Ones to send?

لَوۡ law

نَشَاۤءُ nashaa'u

جَعَلۡنَـٰهُ ja'alnaahu

أُجَاجࣰا Aujaja

فَلَوۡلَا falawla

تَشۡكُرُونَ tashkuruna

٧٠

56:70 If We willed, We (could) make it salty, then why not are you grateful?

أَفَرَءَیۡتُمُ Afara'aytumu

ٱلنَّارَ Annara

ٱلَّتِی Allati

تُورُونَ turuna

٧١

56:71 Do you see the Fire, which you ignite?

ءَأَنتُمۡ 'aAntum

أَنشَأۡتُمۡ AnshaAtum

شَجَرَتَهَاۤ shajaratahaa

أَمۡ Am

نَحۡنُ nahnu

ٱلۡمُنشِءُونَ Almunshi'una

٧٢

56:72 Is it you who produced its tree or We (are) the Producers?

نَحۡنُ nahnu

جَعَلۡنَـٰهَا ja'alnaaha

تَذۡكِرَةࣰ tadhkirah

وَمَتَـٰعࣰا wamataa'a

لِّلۡمُقۡوِینَ llilmuqwina

٧٣

56:73 We have made it a reminder and a provision for the wayfarers in the desert.

فَسَبِّحۡ fasabbih

بِٱسۡمِ biIsmi

رَبِّكَ rabbika

ٱلۡعَظِیمِ Al'azimi

٧٤

56:74 So glorify (the) name (of) your Lord, the Most Great.

۞ فَلَاۤ falaa

أُقۡسِمُ Auqsimu

بِمَوَ ٰقِعِ bimawaaqi'i

ٱلنُّجُومِ Annujumi

٧٥

56:75 But nay, I swear by setting (of) the stars,

وَإِنَّهُۥ waInnahu

لَقَسَمࣱ laqasam

لَّوۡ llaw

تَعۡلَمُونَ ta'lamuna

عَظِیمٌ 'azimun

٧٦

56:76 And indeed, it (is) surely an oath, if you know - great,

إِنَّهُۥ Innahu

لَقُرۡءَانࣱ laqur'an

كَرِیمࣱ karim

٧٧

56:77 Indeed, it (is) surely, a Quran noble,

فِی fi

كِتَـٰبࣲ kitaab

مَّكۡنُونࣲ mmaknun

٧٨

56:78 In a Book well-guarded,

لَّا lla

یَمَسُّهُۥۤ yamassuhu

إِلَّا Illa

ٱلۡمُطَهَّرُونَ Almutahharuna

٧٩

56:79 None touch it except the purified.

تَنزِیلࣱ tanzil

مِّن mmin

رَّبِّ rrabbi

ٱلۡعَـٰلَمِینَ Al'aalamina

٨٠

56:80 A Revelation from (the) Lord (of) the worlds.

أَفَبِهَـٰذَا Afabihaadha

ٱلۡحَدِیثِ Alhadithi

أَنتُم Antum

مُّدۡهِنُونَ mmudhinuna

٨١

56:81 Then is it to this statement that you (are) indifferent?

وَتَجۡعَلُونَ wataj'aluna

رِزۡقَكُمۡ rizqakum

أَنَّكُمۡ Annakum

تُكَذِّبُونَ tukadhdhibuna

٨٢

56:82 And you make your provision that you deny.

فَلَوۡلَاۤ falawlaa

إِذَا Idha

بَلَغَتِ balaghati

ٱلۡحُلۡقُومَ Alhulquma

٨٣

56:83 Then why not when it reaches the throat,

وَأَنتُمۡ waAntum

حِینَىِٕذࣲ hinaaidh

تَنظُرُونَ tanzuruna

٨٤

56:84 And you (at) that time look on,

وَنَحۡنُ wanahnu

أَقۡرَبُ Aqrabu

إِلَیۡهِ Ilayhi

مِنكُمۡ minkum

وَلَـٰكِن walaakin

لَّا lla

تُبۡصِرُونَ tubsiruna

٨٥

56:85 And We (are) nearer to him than you but not (do) you see,

فَلَوۡلَاۤ falawlaa

إِن In

كُنتُمۡ kuntum

غَیۡرَ ghayra

مَدِینِینَ madinina

٨٦

56:86 Then why not, if you are not to be recompensed,

تَرۡجِعُونَهَاۤ tarji'unahaa

إِن In

كُنتُمۡ kuntum

صَـٰدِقِینَ saadiqina

٨٧

56:87 Bring it back, if you are truthful.

فَأَمَّاۤ faAmmaa

إِن In

كَانَ kana

مِنَ mina

ٱلۡمُقَرَّبِینَ Almuqarrabina

٨٨

56:88 Then if he was of those brought near,

فَرَوۡحࣱ farawh

وَرَیۡحَانࣱ warayhan

وَجَنَّتُ wajannatu

نَعِیمࣲ na'im

٨٩

56:89 Then rest and bounty and a Garden (of) Pleasure.

وَأَمَّاۤ waAmmaa

إِن In

كَانَ kana

مِنۡ min

أَصۡحَـٰبِ Ashaabi

ٱلۡیَمِینِ Alyamini

٩٠

56:90 And if he was of (the) companions (of) the right,

فَسَلَـٰمࣱ fasalaam

لَّكَ llaka

مِنۡ min

أَصۡحَـٰبِ Ashaabi

ٱلۡیَمِینِ Alyamini

٩١

56:91 Then, peace for you; [from] (the) companions (of) the right.

وَأَمَّاۤ waAmmaa

إِن In

كَانَ kana

مِنَ mina

ٱلۡمُكَذِّبِینَ Almukadhdhibina

ٱلضَّاۤلِّینَ Addaallina

٩٢

56:92 But if he was of the deniers, the astray,

فَنُزُلࣱ fanuzul

مِّنۡ mmin

حَمِیمࣲ hamim

٩٣

56:93 Then, hospitality of (the) scalding water,

وَتَصۡلِیَةُ watasliyahu

جَحِیمٍ jahimin

٩٤

56:94 And burning (in) Hellfire.

إِنَّ Inna

هَـٰذَا haadha

لَهُوَ lahuwa

حَقُّ haqqu

ٱلۡیَقِینِ Alyaqini

٩٥

56:95 Indeed, this surely, it (is the) truth certain.

فَسَبِّحۡ fasabbih

بِٱسۡمِ biIsmi

رَبِّكَ rabbika

ٱلۡعَظِیمِ Al'azimi

٩٦

56:96 So glorify (the) name (of) your Lord, the Most Great.
