یَـٰۤأَیُّهَا
ٱلۡمُدَّثِّرُ
١
74:1
O you who covers himself!
Surah Al-Muddaththir The Cloaked One

قُمۡ
فَأَنذِرۡ
٢
74:2
Stand up and warn,
وَرَبَّكَ
فَكَبِّرۡ
٣
74:3
And your Lord magnify,
وَثِیَابَكَ
فَطَهِّرۡ
٤
74:4
And your clothing purify,
وَٱلرُّجۡزَ
فَٱهۡجُرۡ
٥
74:5
And uncleanliness avoid,
وَلَا
تَمۡنُن
تَسۡتَكۡثِرُ
٦
74:6
And (do) not confer favor (to) acquire more,
وَلِرَبِّكَ
فَٱصۡبِرۡ
٧
74:7
And for your Lord be patient.
فَإِذَا
نُقِرَ
فِی
ٱلنَّاقُورِ
٨
74:8
Then when is blown in the trumpet,
فَذَ ٰلِكَ
یَوۡمَىِٕذࣲ
یَوۡمٌ
عَسِیرٌ
٩
74:9
That Day, (will be) a Day difficult,
عَلَى
ٱلۡكَـٰفِرِینَ
غَیۡرُ
یَسِیرࣲ
١٠
74:10
For the disbelievers - not easy.
ذَرۡنِی
وَمَنۡ
خَلَقۡتُ
وَحِیدࣰا
١١
74:11
Leave Me and whom I created alone,
وَجَعَلۡتُ
لَهُۥ
مَالࣰا
مَّمۡدُودࣰا
١٢
74:12
And I granted to him wealth extensive,
وَبَنِینَ
شُهُودࣰا
١٣
74:13
And children present,
وَمَهَّدتُّ
لَهُۥ
تَمۡهِیدࣰا
١٤
74:14
And I spread for him, ease.
ثُمَّ
یَطۡمَعُ
أَنۡ
أَزِیدَ
١٥
74:15
Then he desires that I (should) add more.
كَلَّاۤۖ
إِنَّهُۥ
كَانَ
لِءَایَـٰتِنَا
عَنِیدࣰا
١٦
74:16
By no means! Indeed, he has been to Our Verses stubborn.
سَأُرۡهِقُهُۥ
صَعُودًا
١٧
74:17
Soon I will cover Him (with) a laborious punishment.
إِنَّهُۥ
فَكَّرَ
وَقَدَّرَ
١٨
74:18
Indeed, he thought and plotted.
فَقُتِلَ
كَیۡفَ
قَدَّرَ
١٩
74:19
So may he be destroyed, how he plotted!
ثُمَّ
قُتِلَ
كَیۡفَ
قَدَّرَ
٢٠
74:20
Then may he be destroyed, how he plotted!
ثُمَّ
نَظَرَ
٢١
74:21
Then he looked;
ثُمَّ
عَبَسَ
وَبَسَرَ
٢٢
74:22
Then he frowned and scowled;
ثُمَّ
أَدۡبَرَ
وَٱسۡتَكۡبَرَ
٢٣
74:23
Then he turned back and was proud,
فَقَالَ
إِنۡ
هَـٰذَاۤ
إِلَّا
سِحۡرࣱ
یُؤۡثَرُ
٢٤
74:24
Then he said, "Not (is) this but magic imitated.
إِنۡ
هَـٰذَاۤ
إِلَّا
قَوۡلُ
ٱلۡبَشَرِ
٢٥
74:25
Not (is) this but (the) word (of) a human being."
سَأُصۡلِیهِ
سَقَرَ
٢٦
74:26
Soon I will drive him (into) Hell.
وَمَاۤ
أَدۡرَىٰكَ
مَا
سَقَرُ
٢٧
74:27
And what can make you know what (is) Hell?
لَا
تُبۡقِی
وَلَا
تَذَرُ
٢٨
74:28
Not it lets remain and not it leaves,
لَوَّاحَةࣱ
لِّلۡبَشَرِ
٢٩
74:29
Scorching the human (skin).
عَلَیۡهَا
تِسۡعَةَ
عَشَرَ
٣٠
74:30
Over it (are) nine (i.e nineteen) ten (i.e nineteen)
وَمَا
جَعَلۡنَاۤ
أَصۡحَـٰبَ
ٱلنَّارِ
إِلَّا
مَلَـٰۤىِٕكَةࣰۖ
وَمَا
جَعَلۡنَا
عِدَّتَهُمۡ
إِلَّا
فِتۡنَةࣰ
لِّلَّذِینَ
كَفَرُوا۟
لِیَسۡتَیۡقِنَ
ٱلَّذِینَ
أُوتُوا۟
ٱلۡكِتَـٰبَ
وَیَزۡدَادَ
ٱلَّذِینَ
ءَامَنُوۤا۟
إِیمَـٰنࣰا
وَلَا
یَرۡتَابَ
ٱلَّذِینَ
أُوتُوا۟
ٱلۡكِتَـٰبَ
وَٱلۡمُؤۡمِنُونَ
وَلِیَقُولَ
ٱلَّذِینَ
فِی
قُلُوبِهِم
مَّرَضࣱ
وَٱلۡكَـٰفِرُونَ
مَاذَاۤ
أَرَادَ
ٱللَّهُ
بِهَـٰذَا
مَثَلࣰاۚ
كَذَ ٰلِكَ
یُضِلُّ
ٱللَّهُ
مَن
یَشَاۤءُ
وَیَهۡدِی
مَن
یَشَاۤءُۚ
وَمَا
یَعۡلَمُ
جُنُودَ
رَبِّكَ
إِلَّا
هُوَۚ
وَمَا
هِیَ
إِلَّا
ذِكۡرَىٰ
لِلۡبَشَرِ
٣١
74:31
And not We have made keepers (of) the Fire except Angels. And not We have made their number except (as) a trial for those who disbelieve - that may be certain those who were given the Scripture and may increase those who believe (in) faith, and not may doubt those who were given the Scripture and the believers, and that may say those in their hearts (is) a disease and the disbelievers "What (does) intend Allah by this example?" Thus does let go astray Allah whom He wills and guides whom He wills. And none knows (the) hosts (of) your Lord except Him. And not it (is) but a reminder to (the) human beings.
كَلَّا
وَٱلۡقَمَرِ
٣٢
74:32
Nay! By the moon,
وَٱلَّیۡلِ
إِذۡ
أَدۡبَرَ
٣٣
74:33
And the night when it departs,
وَٱلصُّبۡحِ
إِذَاۤ
أَسۡفَرَ
٣٤
74:34
And the morning when it brightens,
إِنَّهَا
لَإِحۡدَى
ٱلۡكُبَرِ
٣٥
74:35
Indeed, it (is) surely one (of) the greatest,
نَذِیرࣰا
لِّلۡبَشَرِ
٣٦
74:36
A warning to (the) human being,
لِمَن
شَاۤءَ
مِنكُمۡ
أَن
یَتَقَدَّمَ
أَوۡ
یَتَأَخَّرَ
٣٧
74:37
To whoever wills among you to proceed or stay behind.
كُلُّ
نَفۡسِۭ
بِمَا
كَسَبَتۡ
رَهِینَةٌ
٣٨
74:38
Every soul, for what it has earned, (is) pledged,
إِلَّاۤ
أَصۡحَـٰبَ
ٱلۡیَمِینِ
٣٩
74:39
Except (the) companions (of) the right,
فِی
جَنَّـٰتࣲ
یَتَسَاۤءَلُونَ
٤٠
74:40
In Gardens, asking each other,
عَنِ
ٱلۡمُجۡرِمِینَ
٤١
74:41
About the criminals,
مَا
سَلَكَكُمۡ
فِی
سَقَرَ
٤٢
74:42
"What led you into Hell?"
قَالُوا۟
لَمۡ
نَكُ
مِنَ
ٱلۡمُصَلِّینَ
٤٣
74:43
They will say, "Not we were of those who prayed,
وَلَمۡ
نَكُ
نُطۡعِمُ
ٱلۡمِسۡكِینَ
٤٤
74:44
And not we used to feed the poor,
وَكُنَّا
نَخُوضُ
مَعَ
ٱلۡخَاۤىِٕضِینَ
٤٥
74:45
And we used to indulge in vain talk with the vain talkers,
وَكُنَّا
نُكَذِّبُ
بِیَوۡمِ
ٱلدِّینِ
٤٦
74:46
And we used to deny (the) Day (of) the Judgment,
حَتَّىٰۤ
أَتَىٰنَا
ٱلۡیَقِینُ
٤٧
74:47
Until, came to us the certainty."
فَمَا
تَنفَعُهُمۡ
شَفَـٰعَةُ
ٱلشَّـٰفِعِینَ
٤٨
74:48
Then not will benefit them intercession (of) the intercessors.
فَمَا
لَهُمۡ
عَنِ
ٱلتَّذۡكِرَةِ
مُعۡرِضِینَ
٤٩
74:49
Then what (is) for them, (that) from the Reminder they (are) turning away
كَأَنَّهُمۡ
حُمُرࣱ
مُّسۡتَنفِرَةࣱ
٥٠
74:50
As if they (were) donkeys frightened,
فَرَّتۡ
مِن
قَسۡوَرَةِۭ
٥١
74:51
Fleeing from a lion?
بَلۡ
یُرِیدُ
كُلُّ
ٱمۡرِىࣲٕ
مِّنۡهُمۡ
أَن
یُؤۡتَىٰ
صُحُفࣰا
مُّنَشَّرَةࣰ
٥٢
74:52
Nay! Desires every person of them that he may be given pages spread out.
كَلَّاۖ
بَل
لَّا
یَخَافُونَ
ٱلۡءَاخِرَةَ
٥٣
74:53
Nay! But not they fear the Hereafter.
كَلَّاۤ
إِنَّهُۥ
تَذۡكِرَةࣱ
٥٤
74:54
Nay! Indeed, it (is) a Reminder.
فَمَن
شَاۤءَ
ذَكَرَهُۥ
٥٥
74:55
So whoever wills, (may) pay heed to it.
وَمَا
یَذۡكُرُونَ
إِلَّاۤ
أَن
یَشَاۤءَ
ٱللَّهُۚ
هُوَ
أَهۡلُ
ٱلتَّقۡوَىٰ
وَأَهۡلُ
ٱلۡمَغۡفِرَةِ

74:56
And not will pay heed except that wills Allah. He (is) worthy to be feared, and worthy to forgive.
