Surah Al-Ma'aarij • Quran 70

سَأَلَ saAla
سَاۤىِٕلُۢ saailu
بِعَذَابࣲ bi'adhab
وَاقِعࣲ  waqi'

70:1 Asked a questioner about a punishment bound to happen
لِّلۡكَـٰفِرِینَ llilkaafirina
لَیۡسَ laysa
لَهُۥ lahu
دَافِعࣱ  dafi'
٢
70:2 To the disbelievers, not of it any preventer.
مِّنَ mmina
ٱللَّهِ Allahi
ذِی dhi
ٱلۡمَعَارِجِ  Alma'ariji
٣
70:3 From Allah, Owner (of) the ways of ascent.
تَعۡرُجُ ta'ruju
ٱلۡمَلَـٰۤىِٕكَةُ Almalaaikahu
وَٱلرُّوحُ waArruhu
إِلَیۡهِ Ilayhi
فِی fi
یَوۡمࣲ yawm
كَانَ kana
مِقۡدَارُهُۥ miqdaruhu
خَمۡسِینَ khamsina
أَلۡفَ Alfa
سَنَةࣲ  sanah
٤
70:4 Ascend the Angels and the Spirit to Him in a Day, [is] its measure (is) fifty thousand year(s).
فَٱصۡبِرۡ faIsbir
صَبۡرࣰا sabra
جَمِیلًا  jamilana
٥
70:5 So be patient, a patience good.
إِنَّهُمۡ Innahum
یَرَوۡنَهُۥ yarawnahu
بَعِیدࣰا  ba'ida
٦
70:6 Indeed, they see it (as) far off.
وَنَرَىٰهُ wanaraahu
قَرِیبࣰا  qariba
٧
70:7 But We see it near.
یَوۡمَ yawma
تَكُونُ takunu
ٱلسَّمَاۤءُ Assamaa'u
كَٱلۡمُهۡلِ  kaAlmuhli
٨
70:8 (The) Day - will be the sky like molten copper,
وَتَكُونُ watakunu
ٱلۡجِبَالُ Aljibalu
كَٱلۡعِهۡنِ  kaAl'ihni
٩
70:9 And will be the mountains like wool,
وَلَا wala
یَسۡءَلُ yas'alu
حَمِیمٌ hamimun
حَمِیمࣰا  hamima
١٠
70:10 And not will ask a friend (about) a friend.
یُبَصَّرُونَهُمۡۚ yubassarunahum
یَوَدُّ yawaddu
ٱلۡمُجۡرِمُ Almujrimu
لَوۡ law
یَفۡتَدِی yaftadi
مِنۡ min
عَذَابِ 'adhabi
یَوۡمِىِٕذِۭ yawmiaidhi
بِبَنِیهِ  bibanihi

70:11 They will be made to see each other. Would wish the criminal if he (could be) ransomed from (the) punishment (of) that Day by his children,
وَصَـٰحِبَتِهِۦ wasaahibatihi
وَأَخِیهِ  waAkhihi
١٢
70:12 And his spouse and his brother,
وَفَصِیلَتِهِ wafasilatihi
ٱلَّتِی Allati
تُءۡوِیهِ  tu'wihi
١٣
70:13 And his nearest kindred who sheltered him,
وَمَن waman
فِی fi
ٱلۡأَرۡضِ AlArdi
جَمِیعࣰا jami'a
ثُمَّ thumma
یُنجِیهِ  yunjihi
١٤
70:14 And whoever (is) on the earth all, then it (could) save him.
كَلَّاۤۖ kallaa
إِنَّهَا Innaha
لَظَىٰ  lazaa
١٥
70:15 By no means! Indeed, it (is) surely a Flame of Hell,
نَزَّاعَةࣰ nazza'ah
لِّلشَّوَىٰ  llilshshawaa
١٦
70:16 A remover of the skin of the head,
تَدۡعُوا۟ tad'ua
مَنۡ man
أَدۡبَرَ Adbara
وَتَوَلَّىٰ  watawallaa
١٧
70:17 Inviting (him) who turned his back and went away
وَجَمَعَ wajama'a
فَأَوۡعَىٰۤ  faAw'aa
١٨
70:18 And collected and hoarded.
۞ إِنَّ Inna
ٱلۡإِنسَـٰنَ AlInsaana
خُلِقَ khuliqa
هَلُوعًا  halu'ana
١٩
70:19 Indeed, the man was created anxious -
إِذَا Idha
مَسَّهُ massahu
ٱلشَّرُّ Ashsharru
جَزُوعࣰا  jazu'a
٢٠
70:20 When touches him the evil, distressed.
وَإِذَا waIdha
مَسَّهُ massahu
ٱلۡخَیۡرُ Alkhayru
مَنُوعًا  manu'ana
٢١
70:21 And when touches him the good, withholding,
إِلَّا Illa
ٱلۡمُصَلِّینَ  Almusallina
٢٢
70:22 Except those who pray -
ٱلَّذِینَ Alladhina
هُمۡ hum
عَلَىٰ 'alaa
صَلَاتِهِمۡ salatihim
دَاۤىِٕمُونَ  daaimuna
٢٣
70:23 Those who [they] at their prayer (are) constant,
وَٱلَّذِینَ waAlladhina
فِیۤ fi
أَمۡوَ ٰلِهِمۡ Amwaalihim
حَقࣱّ haqq
مَّعۡلُومࣱ  mma'lum
٢٤
70:24 And those who in their wealth (is) a right known,
لِّلسَّاۤىِٕلِ llilssaaili
وَٱلۡمَحۡرُومِ  waAlmahrumi
٢٥
70:25 For the one who asks and the deprived,
وَٱلَّذِینَ waAlladhina
یُصَدِّقُونَ yusaddiquna
بِیَوۡمِ biyawmi
ٱلدِّینِ  Addini
٢٦
70:26 And those who accept (the) truth (of the) Day (of) the Judgment,
وَٱلَّذِینَ waAlladhina
هُم hum
مِّنۡ mmin
عَذَابِ 'adhabi
رَبِّهِم rabbihim
مُّشۡفِقُونَ  mmushfiquna
٢٧
70:27 And those who [they] of (the) punishment (of) their Lord (are) fearful -
إِنَّ Inna
عَذَابَ 'adhaba
رَبِّهِمۡ rabbihim
غَیۡرُ ghayru
مَأۡمُونࣲ  maAmun
٢٨
70:28 Indeed, (the) punishment (of) your Lord (is) not to be felt secure (of) -
وَٱلَّذِینَ waAlladhina
هُمۡ hum
لِفُرُوجِهِمۡ lifurujihim
حَـٰفِظُونَ  haafizuna
٢٩
70:29 And those who [they] their modesty (are) guardians,
إِلَّا Illa
عَلَىٰۤ 'alaa
أَزۡوَ ٰجِهِمۡ Azwaajihim
أَوۡ Aw
مَا ma
مَلَكَتۡ malakat
أَیۡمَـٰنُهُمۡ Aymaanuhum
فَإِنَّهُمۡ faInnahum
غَیۡرُ ghayru
مَلُومِینَ  malumina
٣٠
70:30 Except from their spouses or what they possess rightfully then indeed, they (are) not blameworthy,
فَمَنِ famani
ٱبۡتَغَىٰ Ibtaghaa
وَرَاۤءَ waraa'a
ذَ ٰلِكَ dhaalika
فَأُو۟لَـٰۤىِٕكَ faAulaaika
هُمُ humu
ٱلۡعَادُونَ  Al'aduna
٣١
70:31 But whoever seeks beyond that, then those [they] (are) the transgressors -
وَٱلَّذِینَ waAlladhina
هُمۡ hum
لِأَمَـٰنَـٰتِهِمۡ liAmaanaatihim
وَعَهۡدِهِمۡ wa'ahdihim
رَ ٰعُونَ  raa'una
٣٢
70:32 And those who [they] of their trusts and their promise (are) observers,
وَٱلَّذِینَ waAlladhina
هُم hum
بِشَهَـٰدَ ٰتِهِمۡ bishahaadaatihim
قَاۤىِٕمُونَ  qaaimuna
٣٣
70:33 And those who [they] in their testimonies stand firm,
وَٱلَّذِینَ waAlladhina
هُمۡ hum
عَلَىٰ 'alaa
صَلَاتِهِمۡ salatihim
یُحَافِظُونَ  yuhafizuna
٣٤
70:34 And those who, [they] on their prayer keep a guard -
أُو۟لَـٰۤىِٕكَ Aulaaika
فِی fi
جَنَّـٰتࣲ jannaat
مُّكۡرَمُونَ  mmukramuna
٣٥
70:35 Those (will be) in Gardens, honored.
فَمَالِ famali
ٱلَّذِینَ Alladhina
كَفَرُوا۟ kafarua
قِبَلَكَ qibalaka
مُهۡطِعِینَ  muhti'ina
٣٦
70:36 So what is with those who disbelieve, before you (they) hasten,
عَنِ 'ani
ٱلۡیَمِینِ Alyamini
وَعَنِ wa'ani
ٱلشِّمَالِ Ashshimali
عِزِینَ  'izina
٣٧
70:37 On the right and on the left, (in) separate groups?
أَیَطۡمَعُ Ayatma'u
كُلُّ kullu
ٱمۡرِىࣲٕ Imria
مِّنۡهُمۡ mminhum
أَن An
یُدۡخَلَ yudkhala
جَنَّةَ jannaha
نَعِیمࣲ  na'im
٣٨
70:38 Does long every person, among them that he enters a Garden (of) Delight?
كَلَّاۤۖ kallaa
إِنَّا Inna
خَلَقۡنَـٰهُم khalaqnaahum
مِّمَّا mmimma
یَعۡلَمُونَ  ya'lamuna
٣٩
70:39 By no means! Indeed, We [We] have created them from what they know.
فَلَاۤ falaa
أُقۡسِمُ Auqsimu
بِرَبِّ birabbi
ٱلۡمَشَـٰرِقِ Almashaariqi
وَٱلۡمَغَـٰرِبِ waAlmaghaaribi
إِنَّا Inna
لَقَـٰدِرُونَ  laqaadiruna
٤٠
70:40 But nay! I swear by (the) Lord (of) the risings and the settings, that We (are) surely Able
عَلَىٰۤ 'alaa
أَن An
نُّبَدِّلَ nnubaddila
خَیۡرࣰا khayra
مِّنۡهُمۡ mminhum
وَمَا wama
نَحۡنُ nahnu
بِمَسۡبُوقِینَ  bimasbuqina
٤١
70:41 [On] to [We] replace (with) better than them; and not We (are) to be outrun.
فَذَرۡهُمۡ fadharhum
یَخُوضُوا۟ yakhudua
وَیَلۡعَبُوا۟ wayal'abua
حَتَّىٰ hattaa
یُلَـٰقُوا۟ yulaaqua
یَوۡمَهُمُ yawmahumu
ٱلَّذِی Alladhi
یُوعَدُونَ  yu'aduna
٤٢
70:42 So leave them (to) converse vainly and amuse themselves until they meet their Day, which they are promised,
یَوۡمَ yawma
یَخۡرُجُونَ yakhrujuna
مِنَ mina
ٱلۡأَجۡدَاثِ AlAjdathi
سِرَاعࣰا sira'a
كَأَنَّهُمۡ kaAnnahum
إِلَىٰ Ilaa
نُصُبࣲ nusub
یُوفِضُونَ  yufiduna
٤٣
70:43 (The) Day they will come out from the graves rapidly as if they (were) to a goal hastening,
خَـٰشِعَةً khaashi'ahan
أَبۡصَـٰرُهُمۡ Absaaruhum
تَرۡهَقُهُمۡ tarhaquhum
ذِلَّةࣱۚ dhillah
ذَ ٰلِكَ dhaalika
ٱلۡیَوۡمُ Alyawmu
ٱلَّذِی Alladhi
كَانُوا۟ kanua
یُوعَدُونَ  yu'aduna
٤٤
70:44 Humbled their eyesights, will cover them humiliation. That (is) the Day which they were promised.
