وَیۡلࣱ wayl
لِّلۡمُطَفِّفِینَ  llilmutaffifina
١
83:1 Woe to those who give less,
ٱلَّذِینَ Alladhina
إِذَا Idha
ٱكۡتَالُوا۟ Iktalua
عَلَى 'alaa
ٱلنَّاسِ Annasi
یَسۡتَوۡفُونَ  yastawfuna
٢
83:2 Those who when they take a measure from the people, they take in full,
وَإِذَا waIdha
كَالُوهُمۡ kaluhum
أَو Aw
وَّزَنُوهُمۡ wwazanuhum
یُخۡسِرُونَ  yukhsiruna
٣
83:3 But when they give by measure (to) them or they weigh (for) them they give less.
أَلَا Ala
یَظُنُّ yazunnu
أُو۟لَـٰۤىِٕكَ Aulaaika
أَنَّهُم Annahum
مَّبۡعُوثُونَ  mmab'uthuna
٤
83:4 Do not think those that they (will be) resurrected,
لِیَوۡمٍ liyawmin
عَظِیمࣲ  'azim
٥
83:5 For a Day Great,
یَوۡمَ yawma
یَقُومُ yaqumu
ٱلنَّاسُ Annasu
لِرَبِّ lirabbi
ٱلۡعَـٰلَمِینَ  Al'aalamina
٦
83:6 (The) Day will stand mankind before (the) Lord (of) the worlds?
كَلَّاۤ kallaa
إِنَّ Inna
كِتَـٰبَ kitaaba
ٱلۡفُجَّارِ Alfujjari
لَفِی lafi
سِجِّینࣲ  sijjin
٧
83:7 Nay! Indeed, (the) record (of) the wicked (is) surely in Sijjin.
وَمَاۤ wamaa
أَدۡرَىٰكَ Adraaka
مَا ma
سِجِّینࣱ  sijjin
٨
83:8 And what can make you know what (is) Sijjin?
كِتَـٰبࣱ kitaab
مَّرۡقُومࣱ  mmarqum
٩
83:9 A book written.
وَیۡلࣱ wayl
یَوۡمَىِٕذࣲ yawmaaidh
لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِینَ  llilmukadhdhibina
١٠
83:10 Woe that Day to the deniers,
ٱلَّذِینَ Alladhina
یُكَذِّبُونَ yukadhdhibuna
بِیَوۡمِ biyawmi
ٱلدِّینِ  Addini
١١
83:11 Those who deny (the) Day (of) the Judgment.
وَمَا wama
یُكَذِّبُ yukadhdhibu
بِهِۦۤ bihi
إِلَّا Illa
كُلُّ kullu
مُعۡتَدٍ mu'tadin
أَثِیمٍ  Athimin
١٢
83:12 And not can deny [of] it except every transgressor sinful.
إِذَا Idha
تُتۡلَىٰ tutlaa
عَلَیۡهِ 'alayhi
ءَایَـٰتُنَا 'ayaatuna
قَالَ qala
أَسَـٰطِیرُ Asaatiru
ٱلۡأَوَّلِینَ  AlAwwalina
١٣
83:13 When are recited to him Our Verses, he says, "Stories (of) the former (people)."
كَلَّاۖ kalla
بَلۡۜ bal
رَانَ rana
عَلَىٰ 'alaa
قُلُوبِهِم qulubihim
مَّا mma
كَانُوا۟ kanua
یَكۡسِبُونَ  yaksibuna
١٤
83:14 Nay! But, (the) stain has covered [over] their hearts (for) what they used to earn.
كَلَّاۤ kallaa
إِنَّهُمۡ Innahum
عَن 'an
رَّبِّهِمۡ rrabbihim
یَوۡمَىِٕذࣲ yawmaaidh
لَّمَحۡجُوبُونَ  llamahjubuna
١٥
83:15 Nay! Indeed, they from their Lord that Day surely will be partitioned.
ثُمَّ thumma
إِنَّهُمۡ Innahum
لَصَالُوا۟ lasalua
ٱلۡجَحِیمِ  Aljahimi
١٦
83:16 Then indeed, they (surely) will burn (in) the Hellfire.
ثُمَّ thumma
یُقَالُ yuqalu
هَـٰذَا haadha
ٱلَّذِی Alladhi
كُنتُم kuntum
بِهِۦ bihi
تُكَذِّبُونَ  tukadhdhibuna
١٧
83:17 Then it will be said, "This (is) what you used to [of it] deny."
كَلَّاۤ kallaa
إِنَّ Inna
كِتَـٰبَ kitaaba
ٱلۡأَبۡرَارِ AlAbrari
لَفِی lafi
عِلِّیِّینَ  'illiyyina
١٨
83:18 Nay! Indeed, (the) record (of) the righteous (will be) surely in Illiyin.
وَمَاۤ wamaa
أَدۡرَىٰكَ Adraaka
مَا ma
عِلِّیُّونَ  'illiyyuna
١٩
83:19 And what can make you know what (is) Illiyun?
كِتَـٰبࣱ kitaab
مَّرۡقُومࣱ  mmarqum
٢٠
83:20 A book written,
یَشۡهَدُهُ yashhaduhu
ٱلۡمُقَرَّبُونَ  Almuqarrabuna
٢١
83:21 Witness it those brought near.
إِنَّ Inna
ٱلۡأَبۡرَارَ AlAbrara
لَفِی lafi
نَعِیمٍ  na'imin
٢٢
83:22 Indeed, the righteous (will be) surely in bliss,
عَلَى 'alaa
ٱلۡأَرَاۤىِٕكِ AlAraaiki
یَنظُرُونَ  yanzuruna
٢٣
83:23 On thrones observing.
تَعۡرِفُ ta'rifu
فِی fi
وُجُوهِهِمۡ wujuhihim
نَضۡرَةَ nadraha
ٱلنَّعِیمِ  Anna'imi
٢٤
83:24 You will recognize in their faces (the) radiance (of) bliss.
یُسۡقَوۡنَ yusqawna
مِن min
رَّحِیقࣲ rrahiq
مَّخۡتُومٍ  mmakhtumin
٢٥
83:25 They will be given to drink of a pure wine sealed,
خِتَـٰمُهُۥ khitaamuhu
مِسۡكࣱۚ misk
وَفِی wafi
ذَ ٰلِكَ dhaalika
فَلۡیَتَنَافَسِ falyatanafasi
ٱلۡمُتَنَـٰفِسُونَ  Almutanaafisuna
٢٦
83:26 Its seal (will be of) musk. And for that let aspire the aspirers.
وَمِزَاجُهُۥ wamizajuhu
مِن min
تَسۡنِیمٍ  tasnimin
٢٧
83:27 And its mixture (is) of Tasneem,
عَیۡنࣰا 'ayna
یَشۡرَبُ yashrabu
بِهَا biha
ٱلۡمُقَرَّبُونَ  Almuqarrabuna
٢٨
83:28 A spring, will drink from it, those brought near.
إِنَّ Inna
ٱلَّذِینَ Alladhina
أَجۡرَمُوا۟ Ajramua
كَانُوا۟ kanua
مِنَ mina
ٱلَّذِینَ Alladhina
ءَامَنُوا۟ 'amanua
یَضۡحَكُونَ  yadhakuna
٢٩
83:29 Indeed, those who committed crimes used to at those who believed laugh.
وَإِذَا waIdha
مَرُّوا۟ marrua
بِهِمۡ bihim
یَتَغَامَزُونَ  yataghamazuna
٣٠
83:30 And when they passed by them, they winked at one another.
وَإِذَا waIdha
ٱنقَلَبُوۤا۟ Inqalabua
إِلَىٰۤ Ilaa
أَهۡلِهِمُ Ahlihimu
ٱنقَلَبُوا۟ Inqalabua
فَكِهِینَ  fakihina

83:31 And when they returned to their people, they would return jesting.
وَإِذَا waIdha
رَأَوۡهُمۡ raAwhum
قَالُوۤا۟ qalua
إِنَّ Inna
هَـٰۤؤُلَاۤءِ haauulaa'i
لَضَاۤلُّونَ  ladaalluna
٣٢
83:32 And when they saw them, they said, "Indeed, these surely have gone astray."
وَمَاۤ wamaa
أُرۡسِلُوا۟ Aursilua
عَلَیۡهِمۡ 'alayhim
حَـٰفِظِینَ  haafizina
٣٣
83:33 But not they had been sent over them (as) guardians.
فَٱلۡیَوۡمَ faAlyawma
ٱلَّذِینَ Alladhina
ءَامَنُوا۟ 'amanua
مِنَ mina
ٱلۡكُفَّارِ Alkuffari
یَضۡحَكُونَ  yadhakuna
٣٤
83:34 So today those who believed - at the disbelievers they will laugh,
عَلَى 'alaa
ٱلۡأَرَاۤىِٕكِ AlAraaiki
یَنظُرُونَ  yanzuruna
٣٥
83:35 On the thrones observing.
هَلۡ hal
ثُوِّبَ thuwwiba
ٱلۡكُفَّارُ Alkuffaru
مَا ma
كَانُوا۟ kanua
یَفۡعَلُونَ  yaf'aluna
٣٦
83:36 Have (not) been rewarded the disbelievers (for) what they used to do?
