۞ عَمَّ 'amma
یَتَسَاۤءَلُونَ  yatasaa'aluna
١
78:1 About what are they asking one another?
عَنِ 'ani
ٱلنَّبَإِ AnnabaI
ٱلۡعَظِیمِ  Al'azimi
٢
78:2 About the News the Great,
ٱلَّذِی Alladhi
هُمۡ hum
فِیهِ fihi
مُخۡتَلِفُونَ  mukhtalifuna
٣
78:3 (About) which they (are) concerning it (in) disagreement.
كَلَّا kalla
سَیَعۡلَمُونَ  saya'lamuna
٤
78:4 Nay! (soon) they will know.
ثُمَّ thumma
كَلَّا kalla
سَیَعۡلَمُونَ  saya'lamuna
٥
78:5 Then Nay! (soon) they will know.
أَلَمۡ Alam
نَجۡعَلِ naj'ali
ٱلۡأَرۡضَ AlArda
مِهَـٰدࣰا  mihaada
٦
78:6 Have not We made the earth a resting place?
وَٱلۡجِبَالَ waAljibala
أَوۡتَادࣰا  Awtada
٧
78:7 And the mountains (as) pegs,
وَخَلَقۡنَـٰكُمۡ wakhalaqnaakum
أَزۡوَ ٰجࣰا  Azwaaja
٨
78:8 And We created you (in) pairs,
وَجَعَلۡنَا waja'alna
نَوۡمَكُمۡ nawmakum
سُبَاتࣰا  subata
٩
78:9 And We made your sleep (for) rest,
وَجَعَلۡنَا waja'alna
ٱلَّیۡلَ Allayla
لِبَاسࣰا  libasa
١٠
78:10 And We made the night (as) covering,
وَجَعَلۡنَا waja'alna
ٱلنَّهَارَ Annahara
مَعَاشࣰا  ma'asha
١١
78:11 And We made the day (for) livelihood,
وَبَنَیۡنَا wabanayna
فَوۡقَكُمۡ fawqakum
سَبۡعࣰا sab'a
شِدَادࣰا  shidada
١٢
78:12 And We constructed over you seven strong,
وَجَعَلۡنَا waja'alna
سِرَاجࣰا siraja
وَهَّاجࣰا  wahhaja
١٣
78:13 And We placed a lamp burning,
وَأَنزَلۡنَا waAnzalna
مِنَ mina
ٱلۡمُعۡصِرَ ٰتِ Almu'siraati
مَاۤءࣰ maa'
ثَجَّاجࣰا  thajjaja
١٤
78:14 And We sent down from the rain clouds water pouring abundantly,
لِّنُخۡرِجَ llinukhrija
بِهِۦ bihi
حَبࣰّا habba
وَنَبَاتࣰا  wanabata
١٥
78:15 That We may bring forth thereby grain and vegetation,
وَجَنَّـٰتٍ wajannaatin
أَلۡفَافًا  Alfafana
١٦
78:16 And gardens (of) thick foliage.
إِنَّ Inna
یَوۡمَ yawma
ٱلۡفَصۡلِ Alfasli
كَانَ kana
مِیقَـٰتࣰا  miqaata
١٧
78:17 Indeed, (the) Day (of) the Judgment is an appointed time,
یَوۡمَ yawma
یُنفَخُ yunfakhu
فِی fi
ٱلصُّورِ Assuri
فَتَأۡتُونَ fataAtuna
أَفۡوَاجࣰا  Afwaja
١٨
78:18 (The) Day (in which) shall be blown in the trumpet and you will come forth (in) crowds,
وَفُتِحَتِ wafutihati
ٱلسَّمَاۤءُ Assamaa'u
فَكَانَتۡ fakanat
أَبۡوَ ٰبࣰا  Abwaaba
١٩
78:19 And is opened the heaven and becomes gateways,
وَسُیِّرَتِ wasuyyirati
ٱلۡجِبَالُ Aljibalu
فَكَانَتۡ fakanat
سَرَابًا  sarabana
٢٠
78:20 And are moved the mountains and become a mirage.
إِنَّ Inna
جَهَنَّمَ jahannama
كَانَتۡ kanat
مِرۡصَادࣰا  mirsada
٢١
78:21 Indeed, Hell is lying in wait,
لِّلطَّـٰغِینَ llilttaaghina
مَءَابࣰا  ma'aba
٢٢
78:22 For the transgressors a place of return,
لَّـٰبِثِینَ llaabithina
فِیهَاۤ fihaa
أَحۡقَابࣰا  Ahqaba
٢٣
78:23 (They will) be remaining therein (for) ages.
لَّا lla
یَذُوقُونَ yadhuquna
فِیهَا fiha
بَرۡدࣰا barda
وَلَا wala
شَرَابًا  sharabana
٢٤
78:24 Not they will taste therein coolness and not any drink,
إِلَّا Illa
حَمِیمࣰا hamima
وَغَسَّاقࣰا  waghassaqa
٢٥
78:25 Except scalding water and purulence,
جَزَاۤءࣰ jazaa'
وِفَاقًا  wifaqana
٢٦
78:26 A recompense appropriate.
إِنَّهُمۡ Innahum
كَانُوا۟ kanua
لَا la
یَرۡجُونَ yarjuna
حِسَابࣰا  hisaba
٢٧
78:27 Indeed, they were not expecting an account,
وَكَذَّبُوا۟ wakadhdhabua
بِءَایَـٰتِنَا bi'ayaatina
كِذَّابࣰا  kidhdhaba
٢٨
78:28 And they denied Our Signs (with) denial.
وَكُلَّ wakulla
شَیۡءٍ shay'in
أَحۡصَیۡنَـٰهُ Ahsaynaahu
كِتَـٰبࣰا  kitaaba
٢٩
78:29 And every thing We have enumerated it (in) a Book.
فَذُوقُوا۟ fadhuqua
فَلَن falan
نَّزِیدَكُمۡ nnazidakum
إِلَّا Illa
عَذَابًا  'adhabana
٣٠
78:30 So taste, and never We will increase you except (in) punishment.
إِنَّ Inna
لِلۡمُتَّقِینَ lilmuttaqina
مَفَازًا  mafazana
٣١
78:31 Indeed, for the righteous (is) success,
حَدَاۤىِٕقَ hadaaiqa
وَأَعۡنَـٰبࣰا  waA'naaba
٣٢
78:32 Gardens and grapevines,
وَكَوَاعِبَ wakawa'iba
أَتۡرَابࣰا  Atraba
٣٣
78:33 And splendid companions well-matched,
وَكَأۡسࣰا wakaAsa
دِهَاقࣰا  dihaqa
٣٤
78:34 And a cup full.
لَّا lla
یَسۡمَعُونَ yasma'una
فِیهَا fiha
لَغۡوࣰا laghwa
وَلَا wala
كِذَّ ٰبࣰا  kidhdhaaba
٣٥
78:35 Not they will hear therein any vain talk and not any falsehood,
جَزَاۤءࣰ jazaa'
مِّن mmin
رَّبِّكَ rrabbika
عَطَاۤءً 'ataa'an
حِسَابࣰا  hisaba
٣٦
78:36 (As) a reward from your Lord, a gift (according to) account,
رَّبِّ rrabbi
ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰتِ Assamaawaati
وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ waAlArdi
وَمَا wama
بَیۡنَهُمَا baynahuma
ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِۖ Arrahmaani
لَا la
یَمۡلِكُونَ yamlikuna
مِنۡهُ minhu
خِطَابࣰا  khitaba
٣٧
78:37 Lord (of) the heavens and the earth and whatever (is) between both of them the Most Gracious, not they have power from Him (to) address.
یَوۡمَ yawma
یَقُومُ yaqumu
ٱلرُّوحُ Arruhu
وَٱلۡمَلَـٰۤىِٕكَةُ waAlmalaaikahu
صَفࣰّاۖ saffa
لَّا lla
یَتَكَلَّمُونَ yatakallamuna
إِلَّا Illa
مَنۡ man
أَذِنَ Adhina
لَهُ lahu
ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنُ Arrahmaanu
وَقَالَ waqala
صَوَابࣰا  sawaba
٣٨
78:38 (The) Day will stand the Spirit and the Angels (in) rows, not they will speak except (one) who - permits [for] him the Most Gracious, and he (will) say (what is) correct.
ذَ ٰلِكَ dhaalika
ٱلۡیَوۡمُ Alyawmu
ٱلۡحَقُّۖ Alhaqqu
فَمَن faman
شَاۤءَ shaa'a
ٱتَّخَذَ Ittakhadha
إِلَىٰ Ilaa
رَبِّهِۦ rabbihi
مَءَابًا  ma'abana
٣٩
78:39 That (is) the Day the True. So whoever wills let him take towards his Lord a return.
إِنَّاۤ Innaa
أَنذَرۡنَـٰكُمۡ Andharnaakum
عَذَابࣰا 'adhaba
قَرِیبࣰا qariba
یَوۡمَ yawma
یَنظُرُ yanzuru
ٱلۡمَرۡءُ Almar'u
مَا ma
قَدَّمَتۡ qaddamat
یَدَاهُ yadahu
وَیَقُولُ wayaqulu
ٱلۡكَافِرُ Alkafiru
یَـٰلَیۡتَنِی yaalaytani
كُنتُ kuntu
تُرَ ٰبَۢا  turaaba
٤٠
78:40 Indeed We [We] have warned you (of) a punishment near (the) Day will see the man what have sent forth his hands and will say the disbeliever, "O I wish! I were dust!"
