Surah Al-Lail • Quran 92

وَٱلَّیۡلِ waAllayli
إِذَا Idha
یَغۡشَىٰ  yaghshaa
١
92:1 By the night when it covers,
وَٱلنَّهَارِ waAnnahari
إِذَا Idha
تَجَلَّىٰ  tajallaa
٢
92:2 And the day when it shines in brightness,
وَمَا wama
خَلَقَ khalaqa
ٱلذَّكَرَ Adhdhakara
وَٱلۡأُنثَىٰۤ  waAlAunthaa
٣
92:3 And He Who created the male and the female,
إِنَّ Inna
سَعۡیَكُمۡ sa'yakum
لَشَتَّىٰ  lashattaa
٤
92:4 Indeed, your efforts (are) surely diverse.
فَأَمَّا faAmma
مَنۡ man
أَعۡطَىٰ A'taa
وَٱتَّقَىٰ  waIttaqaa
٥
92:5 Then as for (him) who gives and fears,
وَصَدَّقَ wasaddaqa
بِٱلۡحُسۡنَىٰ  biAlhusnaa
٦
92:6 And believes in the best,
فَسَنُیَسِّرُهُۥ fasanuyassiruhu
لِلۡیُسۡرَىٰ  lilyusraa
٧
92:7 Then We will ease him towards [the] ease.
وَأَمَّا waAmma
مَنۢ man
بَخِلَ bakhila
وَٱسۡتَغۡنَىٰ  waIstaghnaa
٨
92:8 But as for (him) who withholds and considers himself free from need,
وَكَذَّبَ wakadhdhaba
بِٱلۡحُسۡنَىٰ  biAlhusnaa
٩
92:9 And denies the best,
فَسَنُیَسِّرُهُۥ fasanuyassiruhu
لِلۡعُسۡرَىٰ  lil'usraa
١٠
92:10 Then We will ease him towards [the] difficulty.
وَمَا wama
یُغۡنِی yughni
عَنۡهُ 'anhu
مَالُهُۥۤ maluhu
إِذَا Idha
تَرَدَّىٰۤ  taraddaa
١١
92:11 And not will avail him his wealth when he falls.
إِنَّ Inna
عَلَیۡنَا 'alayna
لَلۡهُدَىٰ  lalhudaa
١٢
92:12 Indeed, upon Us (is) the guidance.
وَإِنَّ waInna
لَنَا lana
لَلۡءَاخِرَةَ lal'akhiraha
وَٱلۡأُولَىٰ  waAlAulaa
١٣
92:13 And indeed, for Us (is) the Hereafter and the first (life).
فَأَنذَرۡتُكُمۡ faAndhartukum
نَارࣰا nara
تَلَظَّىٰ  talazzaa
١٤
92:14 So I warn you (of) a Fire blazing,
لَا la
یَصۡلَىٰهَاۤ yaslaahaa
إِلَّا Illa
ٱلۡأَشۡقَى  AlAshqaa
١٥
92:15 Not will burn (in) it except the most wretched,
ٱلَّذِی Alladhi
كَذَّبَ kadhdhaba
وَتَوَلَّىٰ  watawallaa
١٦
92:16 The one who denied and turned away.
وَسَیُجَنَّبُهَا wasayujannabuha
ٱلۡأَتۡقَى  AlAtqaa
١٧
92:17 But will be removed from it the righteous,
ٱلَّذِی Alladhi
یُؤۡتِی yuuti
مَالَهُۥ malahu
یَتَزَكَّىٰ  yatazakkaa
١٨
92:18 The one who gives his wealth (to) purify himself,
وَمَا wama
لِأَحَدٍ liAhadin
عِندَهُۥ 'indahu
مِن min
نِّعۡمَةࣲ nni'mah
تُجۡزَىٰۤ  tujzaa
١٩
92:19 And not for anyone with him any favor to be recompensed
إِلَّا Illa
ٱبۡتِغَاۤءَ Ibtighaa'a
وَجۡهِ wajhi
رَبِّهِ rabbihi
ٱلۡأَعۡلَىٰ  AlA'laa
٢٠
92:20 Except seeking (the) Countenance (of) his Lord, the Most High.
وَلَسَوۡفَ walasawfa
یَرۡضَىٰ  yardaa
٢١
92:21 And soon, surely he will be pleased.
