ٱقۡرَأۡIqraA
بِٱسۡمِbiIsmi
رَبِّكَrabbika
ٱلَّذِیAlladhi
خَلَقَ khalaqa
96:1   Read in (the) name (of) your Lord the One Who created -
٢
خَلَقَkhalaqa
ٱلۡإِنسَـٰنَAlIinsaana
مِنۡmin
عَلَقٍ 'alaqin
96:2   He created man from a clinging substance.
٣
ٱقۡرَأۡIqraA
وَرَبُّكَwarabbuka
ٱلۡأَكۡرَمُ AlAakramu
96:3   Read, and your Lord (is) the Most Generous,
٤
ٱلَّذِیAlladhi
عَلَّمَ'allama
بِٱلۡقَلَمِ biAlqalami
96:4   The One Who taught by the pen,
٥
عَلَّمَ'allama
ٱلۡإِنسَـٰنَAlIinsaana
مَاma
لَمۡlam
یَعۡلَمۡ ya'lam
96:5   Taught man what not he knew.
٦
كَلَّاۤkalla
إِنَّInna
ٱلۡإِنسَـٰنَAlIinsaana
لَیَطۡغَىٰۤ layatghaa
96:6   Nay! Indeed, man surely transgresses,
٧
أَنAn
رَّءَاهُrra'ahu
ٱسۡتَغۡنَىٰۤ Istaghnaa
96:7   That he sees himself self-sufficient.
٨
إِنَّInna
إِلَىٰIlaa
رَبِّكَrabbika
ٱلرُّجۡعَىٰۤ Arruj'aa
96:8   Indeed, to your Lord (is) the return.
٩
أَرَءَیۡتَAra'ayta
ٱلَّذِیAlladhi
یَنۡهَىٰ yanhaa
96:9   Have you seen the one who forbids
١٠
عَبۡدًا'abdana
إِذَاIdha
صَلَّىٰۤ sallaa
96:10   A slave when he prays?
١١
أَرَءَیۡتَAra'ayta
إِنIn
كَانَkana
عَلَى'alaa
ٱلۡهُدَىٰۤ Alhudaa
96:11   Have you seen if he is upon [the] guidance,
١٢
أَوۡAw
أَمَرَAmara
بِٱلتَّقۡوَىٰۤ biAttaqwaa
96:12   Or he enjoins [of the] righteousness?
١٣
أَرَءَیۡتَAra'ayta
إِنIn
كَذَّبَkadhhaba
وَتَوَلَّىٰۤ watawallaa
96:13   Have you seen if he denies and turns away?
١٤
أَلَمۡAlam
یَعۡلَمya'lam
بِأَنَّbiAanna
ٱللَّهَAllaha
یَرَىٰ yaraa
96:14   Does not he know that Allah sees?
١٥
كَلَّاkalla
لَىِٕنlaain
لَّمۡllam
یَنتَهِyantahi
لَنَسۡفَعَۢاlanasfa'aa
بِٱلنَّاصِیَةِ biAnnasiahi
96:15   Nay! If not he desists, surely We will drag him by the forelock,
١٦
نَاصِیَةࣲnasiah
كَـٰذِبَةٍkaadhibahin
خَاطِئَةࣲ khatieah
96:16   A forelock lying, sinful.
١٧
فَلۡیَدۡعُfalyad'u
نَادِیَهُۥ nadiahu
96:17   Then let him call his associates,
١٨
سَنَدۡعُsanad'u
ٱلزَّبَانِیَةَ Azzabaniaha
96:18   We will call the Angels of Hell.
19
كَلَّاkalla
لَاla
تُطِعۡهُtuti'hu
وَ̅ٱ̅سۡ̅جُ̅دۡ̅waIsjud
وَٱقۡتَرِب  ۩waIqtarib
96:19   Nay! (Do) not obey him. But prostrate and draw near (to Allah).
