96:1
Read in (the) name (of) your Lord the One Who created -
خَلَقَ
khalaqa
ٱلۡإِنسَـٰنَ
AlInsaana
مِنۡ
min
عَلَقٍ
'alaqin
٢
96:2
He created man from a clinging substance.
ٱقۡرَأۡ
IqraA
وَرَبُّكَ
warabbuka
ٱلۡأَكۡرَمُ
AlAkramu
٣
96:3
Read, and your Lord (is) the Most Generous,
ٱلَّذِی
Alladhi
عَلَّمَ
'allama
بِٱلۡقَلَمِ
biAlqalami
٤
96:4
The One Who taught by the pen,
عَلَّمَ
'allama
ٱلۡإِنسَـٰنَ
AlInsaana
مَا
ma
لَمۡ
lam
یَعۡلَمۡ
ya'lam
٥
96:5
Taught man what not he knew.
كَلَّاۤ
kallaa
إِنَّ
Inna
ٱلۡإِنسَـٰنَ
AlInsaana
لَیَطۡغَىٰۤ
layatghaa
٦
96:6
Nay! Indeed, man surely transgresses,
أَن
An
رَّءَاهُ
rra'ahu
ٱسۡتَغۡنَىٰۤ
Istaghnaa
٧
96:7
That he sees himself self-sufficient.
إِنَّ
Inna
إِلَىٰ
Ilaa
رَبِّكَ
rabbika
ٱلرُّجۡعَىٰۤ
Arruj'aa
٨
96:8
Indeed, to your Lord (is) the return.
أَرَءَیۡتَ
Ara'ayta
ٱلَّذِی
Alladhi
یَنۡهَىٰ
yanhaa
٩
96:9
Have you seen the one who forbids
عَبۡدًا
'abdana
إِذَا
Idha
صَلَّىٰۤ
sallaa
١٠
96:10
A slave when he prays?
أَرَءَیۡتَ
Ara'ayta
إِن
In
كَانَ
kana
عَلَى
'alaa
ٱلۡهُدَىٰۤ
Alhudaa
١١
96:11
Have you seen if he is upon [the] guidance,
أَوۡ
Aw
أَمَرَ
Amara
بِٱلتَّقۡوَىٰۤ
biAttaqwaa
١٢
96:12
Or he enjoins [of the] righteousness?
أَرَءَیۡتَ
Ara'ayta
إِن
In
كَذَّبَ
kadhdhaba
وَتَوَلَّىٰۤ
watawallaa
١٣
96:13
Have you seen if he denies and turns away?
أَلَمۡ
Alam
یَعۡلَم
ya'lam
بِأَنَّ
biAnna
ٱللَّهَ
Allaha
یَرَىٰ
yaraa
١٤
96:14
Does not he know that Allah sees?
كَلَّا
kalla
لَىِٕن
laain
لَّمۡ
llam
یَنتَهِ
yantahi
لَنَسۡفَعَۢا
lanasfa'a
بِٱلنَّاصِیَةِ
biAnnasiyahi
١٥
96:15
Nay! If not he desists, surely We will drag him by the forelock,
نَاصِیَةࣲ
nasiyah
كَـٰذِبَةٍ
kaadhibahin
خَاطِئَةࣲ
khatieah
١٦
96:16
A forelock lying, sinful.
فَلۡیَدۡعُ
falyad'u
نَادِیَهُۥ
nadiyahu
١٧
96:17
Then let him call his associates,
سَنَدۡعُ
sanad'u
ٱلزَّبَانِیَةَ
Azzabaniyaha
١٨
96:18
We will call the Angels of Hell.
كَلَّا
kalla
لَا
la
تُطِعۡهُ
tuti'hu
وَ̅ٱ̅سۡ̅جُ̅دۡ̅
waIsjud
وَٱقۡتَرِب ۩
waIqtarib
19
96:19
Nay! (Do) not obey him. But prostrate and draw near (to Allah).
