Quran 6 : 76

Therefore We showed Abraham sovereignty over Heaven and Earth so he might feel reassured.

When night outspread over him he saw a star and said, 'This is my Lord.' But when it set he said, 'I love not the setters.

When night descended on him, he saw a star. He said, This is my Lord! Then when it set he said, I do not love things that set

When the night spread over him, He saw a star and said, “This is my Lord.” But when it set he said, “I love not those that set.

And when the night fell upon him he saw a star. He said: This is my Lord. And when it set, he said: I do not love those who set.

When the night covered him, he saw a star and said, “This is my lord.” But once it set, he said, “I don’t love things that set.”

So when the night overshadowed him, he saw a star. He said: Is this my Lord? So when it set, he said: I love not the setting ones

When the night grew dark upon him he beheld a star. He said: This is my Lord. But when it set, he said: I love not things that set

And when the night overshadowed him he saw a star and said, 'This is my Lord;' but when it set he said, 'I love not those that set.

When the night grew dark upon him, he saw a star. He said, “This is my Lord!” But when it set, he said, “I love not things that set.

So when covered over him the night he saw a star He said This (is) my Lord But when it set he said Not (do) I like the ones that set

When night descended on him, he saw a star. He said: "Will this be my lord?" So when it set, he said: "I do not like setting things."

So when the night over-shadowed him, he saw a star; said he: Is this my Lord? So when it set, he said: I do not love the setting ones

And when the night overshadowed him he saw a star. He said, 'This is my Lord;' But when it set, he said, 'I love not those that set.'

When the night darkened upon him, he saw a star. He said: “This is my Lord.” But when it set, he said: “I do not like those that set.”

When the night darkened upon him, he saw a star. He said: “This is my Lord.” But when it set, he said: “I do not like those that set.”

Then when the night darkened on him, he beheld a star. He said: this is mine Lord. Then when it set, he said. I love not the setting ones

So when night outspread over him, he saw a star. He said: This is my Lord. Then, when it set, he said: I love not that which sets.

And when the night darkened upon him, he saw a star. He said, 'Can this be my Lord?' But when it set, he said, I like not those that set.

So when the night engulfed him, he saw a star. He exclaimed, “This is my Lord” But when it set, he said, “I love not the things that set.”

When the night enveloped him, he saw a star and said, “This is my Lord.” When it set, he said, “I cannot love something that disappears.”

When the night grew dark upon him, he saw a star and said, “This is my Lord!” But when it set, he said, “I do not love things that set.”

And when the night darkened upon him, he saw a star. He said, `Can this be my Lord?' But when it set, he said, I like not those that set.

So, when the night enveloped him, he saw a star. He said, .This is my Lord. But, when it vanished, he said, .I do not like those who vanish

When night drew over him, he saw a planet. 'This, ' he said: 'is surely my Lord. ' But when it set he said: 'I do not like the setting ones.

When night covered him he saw a star and said, ´This is my Lord!´ Then when it set he said, ´I do not love what sets.´

When the night overshadowed him, he saw a star and said, "This is my Lord!" But when it went down he said, "I do not like things that disappear."

When the night covered him, he saw a planet, and he said: "This is my Lord." But when it disappeared he said: "I do not like those who disappear."

When the night fell over him, he saw a planet. He said, 'This is my lord.' But when it set, he said, 'I do not love those that set.'

When the night covered over him, he saw a star, he said: "This is my Lord." But when it set, he said: "I love not those that set."

When the night covered him over, He saw a star: He said: "This is my Lord." But when it set, He said: "I love not those that set."

When the darkness of night came on him, he saw a star, said he, 'you take this as my Lord! Then when it set, said he, 'I do not like the setting ones'.

And when the night overshadowed him he saw a star and said, "This is my Lord;" but when it set he said, "I love not those that set."

So when the night fell on him, he saw a star. He said, "This is my Lord." But when it set, he said, "I do not love things that set."

When night darkened over him, he saw a star and said, ‘This is my Lord!’ But when it set, he said, ‘I do not like those who set.’

So when the night covered him he saw a planet*. He said, "This is my Fosterer," but when it set, he said, "I do not love those who set." * Probably Venus

As the night grew dark around him, he saw a star, he thought, “Could this be My Lord?” After it set, he said, “I don’t like things that set.

So when the night enshrouded upon him, he saw a planet. He said, “This is my lord.” So, when it was set, he said, “I do not love the things which fade away.”

When the night grew dark over him he saw a star and said, ‘This is my Lord,’ but when it set, he said, ‘I do not like things that set.’

When the (darkness of) night covered him, he saw a star and he said: “This is my Lord.” But when it disappeared, he said: “I do not like things that disappear.”

When the night covered him over with darkness he saw a star. He said: "This is my lord." But when it set, he said: "I like not those that set."

As the night covered him with darkness, he saw a star and remarked, "This is my Lord!" But when it set, he said, "I do not like those that set."

When the night fell, he saw a shining planet. "Maybe this is my Lord," he said. When it disappeared, he said, "I do not like (gods) that disappear."

And when the night overshadowed him, he beheld a star. "This," said he, "is my Lord:" but when it set, he said, "I love not gods which set."

When it became dark at night, he (Abraham) saw a star and said, "This is my lord." But when it disappeared, he said, "I do not love those who fade away"

So when the night covered him [with darkness], he saw a star. He said, "This is my lord." But when it set, he said, "I like not those that disappear."

So when the night darkened on him, he saw a star/planet, he said: "That (is) my lord." So when it set/darkened, he said: "I do not like the setting/disappearing."

Then, when the night outspread over him, he beheld a star, and said: ´This is my Lord.´ But when it went down, he said: ´I do not love the things that go down.´

When the night overspread over him, he saw a star; and he exclaimed: "This is my Lord, (is it)?" But when it set (sank from sight), he said: "I love not the things that set."

When night drew its shadow over him, he saw a star. ‘That,‘ he said, ‘is surely my God.‘ But when it faded away, he said: ‘I have no love for such that fade.‘

When the night came with her covering of darkness he saw a star, and (Azar, his father) said: "This is my Lord." But when the star set, (Abraham) said: "I love not those that wane."

So as soon as the night outspread over him, he saw a planet. He said, "This is my Lord." Then, as soon as it set, (Literally: waned, faded) he said, "I do not love the setting (things)."

So when the night spread its darkness over him, he beheld a star and said: ‘Is this my Lord (according to your view)?’ But when it set, he said (communicating to his people): ‘I do not like the setting ones.

So when the night became dark upon him he saw a star; he said (to Azar / the people), “(You portray that) this is my Lord?”; then when it set he said, “I do not like the things that set.”

Then, when the night overshadowed him with its darkness, he beheld a star;., [and] he exclaimed, "This is my Sustainer!" -but when it went down, he said, "I love not the things that go down."

When the night (ignorance) covered him, he saw a star (became aware of his consciousness)... He said, “This is my Rabb”... But when it set (when he became inadequate in comprehending the reality) he said, “I do not like those that set.”

So when night covered him over he noticed a planet (in the sky). He said: “This is my Rabb (Nourisher-Sustainer).” So when it set (i.e., went out of view), he said: “I do not admire (as Nourisher-Sustainer) those who set.”

(Some of his people were idolaters and others were Nature worshipers.) One night when it grew dark upon him he saw a star. Abraham exclaimed to them, "This is my Lord!" But when it went down, he said, "I love not the things that go down."

When Abraham [going through his out of body experience] saw a shining star [while going into the dark part of the earth,] he said: "This must be the Lord!" When the star disappeared, he said: "I do not like a god that disappears!"

Then (after being convinced of Our unity once on the occasion of a debate on the topic) when the night darkened over him, he saw a planet. He said (on seeing it to the idol-worshippers), `Is this my Lord (as you assert)?' But when it set he said, `I do not love the setting ones (to accept as my God).
