Yes. He said: By Lat and `Uzza. If I were to see him do that, I would trample his neck, or I would smear his face with dust. He came to Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as he was engaged in prayer and thought of trampling his neck (and the people say) that he came near him but turned upon his heels and tried to repulse something with his hands. It was said to him: What is the matter with you? He said: There is between me and him a ditch of fire and terror and wings. Thereupon Allah's Messenger (may peace he upon him) said: If he were to come near me the angels would have torn him to pieces. Then Allah, the Exalted and Glorious, revealed this verse- (the narrator) said: We do not know whether it is the hadith transmitted by Abu Huraira or something conveyed to him from another source: "Nay, man is surely inordinate, because he looks upon himself as self-sufficient. Surely to thy Lord is the return. Hast thou seen him who forbids a servant when he prays? Seest thou if he is on the right way, or enjoins observance of piety? Seest thou if he denies and turns away? Knowest he not that Allah sees? Nay, if he desists not, We will seize him by the forelock-a lying, sinful forelock. Then let him summon his council. We will summon the guards of the Hell. Nay! Obey not thou him" (lcvi, 6-19). (Rather prostrate thyself.) Ubaidullah made this addition: It was after this that (prostration) was enjoined upon and Ibn Abd al-Ala made this addition that by "Nadiyah" he meant his people.
Sahih Muslim Book 52, Hadith 21
he (Muhammad) said: "I heard him saying - while he was among ten of the Companions of the Prophet, one of whom was Abu Qatadah bin Ribi - 'I am the most knowledgeable among you of the Salat of the Allah's Messenger.' They said: 'You did not precede us in his companionship, nor were you in his company more than us.' He said: 'Even still." They said: 'Go ahead.' So he said: 'When Allah's Messenger stood for Salat he would stand with his back straight and raise his hands until they were at the level of his shoulder. Then he would say: (Allahu Akbar) "Allah is Most Great" and bow. Then he would straighten (his back) so that he would not lower his head, nor raise it, and he placed his hands on his knees. Then he said: (Sami Allahu liman hamidah) "Allah listens to those who praise Him." And he raised his hands and stood up straight until all of his bones completely returned to their places. Then he went down to the ground prostrating, then he said: (Allahu Akbar) "Allah is Most Great." Then he held his upper arms away from his midsection, and opened his toes on his feet (facing the Qiblah), then he bend his left foot and sat on it then straightened up until all of his bones completely returned to their placed, then he went down to prostrate. Then he said: (Allahu Akbar) "Allah is Most Great," then he bent his foot and sat and straightened up until all of his bones completely returned to their places. Then he got up. Then in the second Rak'ah he did the same as that, such that when he stood from the two prostrations, he sad the Takbir and raised his hands until they were at the level of his shoulders as he did when he opened the Salat. Then he did like that until it was the Rak'ah in which his Salat was to end, when he moved his left foot over and sat on his side (in the Mutawarrik postion). Then he said the Taslim.'"
Jami` at-Tirmidhi Book 2, Hadith 156
Once I went to Medina where there was an outbreak of disease and the people were dying rapidly. I
was sitting with `Umar and a funeral procession passed by. The people praised the deceased. `Umar
said, "It has been affirmed" (Paradise). Then another funeral procession passed by. The people praised
the deceased. `Umar said, "It has been affirmed." (Paradise). Then another funeral procession passed
by. The people praised the deceased. `Umar said, "It has been affirmed (Paradise)." Then a third
funeral procession passed by and the people talked badly of the deceased. `Umar said, "It has been
affirmed (Hell)." I asked `Umar, "O chief of the believers! What has been affirmed?" He said, "I have
said what the Prophet (ﷺ) said. He said, 'Allah will admit into paradise any Muslim whose good character
is attested by four persons.' We asked the Prophet, 'If there were three witnesses only?' He said, 'Even
three.' We asked, 'If there were two only?' He said, 'Even two.' But we did not ask him about one
witness."
Sahih al-Bukhari Book 52, Hadith 7
Allahumma inni a'udhu bika minal-kasali wal-harami wal-ma'thami wal-maghrami (O Allah, I seek refuge with You from the tribulation of the Fire and the torment of the Fire, and from the tribulation of the grave, and from the evil of the tribulation of richness and the evil of the tribulation of poverty, and from the evil of the trial of the False Christ. O Allah! Wash away my sins with the water of snow and hail, and cleanse my heart from sin as a white garment is cleansed from filth, and put a great distance between me and my sins, as great as the distance You have made between the east and the west. O Allah! I seek refuge with You from laziness and old age, and from sins and debt)."
Sunan Ibn Majah Book 34, Hadith 12
The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "The believers will be kept (waiting) on the Day of
Resurrection so long that they will become worried and say, "Let us
ask somebody to intercede far us with our Lord so that He may relieve
us from our place.
Then they will go to Adam and say, 'You are Adam, the father of the
people. Allah created you with His Own Hand and made you reside in His
Paradise and ordered His angels to prostrate before you, and taught
you the names of all things will you intercede for us with your Lord
so that He may relieve us from this place of ours? Adam will say, 'I
am not fit for this undertaking.' He will mention his mistakes he had
committed, i.e., his eating off the tree though he had been forbidden
to do so. He will add, 'Go to Noah, the first prophet sent by Allah to
the people of the Earth.' The people will go to Noah who will say, 'I
am not fit for this undertaking' He will mention his mistake which he
had done, i.e., his asking his Lord without knowledge.' He will say
(to them), 'Go to Abraham, Khalil Ar-Rahman.' They will go to Abraham
who will say, 'I am not fit for this undertaking. He would mention
three words by which he told a lie, and say (to them). 'Go to Moses, a
slave whom Allah gave the Torah and spoke to, directly and brought
near Him, for conversation.'
They will go to Moses who will say, 'I am not fit for this
undertaking. He will mention his mistake he made, i.e., killing a
person, and will say (to them), 'Go to Jesus, Allah's slave and His
Apostle, and a soul created by Him and His Word.' (Be: And it was.)
They will go to Jesus who will say, 'I am not fit for this undertaking
but you'd better go to Muhammad the slave whose past and future sins
have been forgiven by Allah.' So they will come to me, and I will ask
my Lord's permission to enter His House and then I will be permitted.
When I see Him I will fall down in prostration before Him, and He will
leave me (in prostration) as long as He will, and then He will say, 'O
Muhammad, lift up your head and speak, for you will be listened to,
and intercede, for your intercession will be accepted, and ask (for
anything) for it will be granted:' Then I will raise my head and
glorify my Lord with certain praises which He has taught me. Allah
will put a limit for me (to intercede for a certain type of people) I
will take them out and make them enter Paradise." (Qatada said: I
heard Anas saying that), the Prophet (ﷺ) said, "I will go out and take
them out of Hell (Fire) and let them enter Paradise, and then I will
return and ask my Lord for permission to enter His House and I will be
permitted.
When I will see Him I will fall down in prostration before Him and He
will leave me in prostration as long as He will let me (in that
state), and then He will say, 'O Muhammad, raise your head and speak,
for you will be listened to, and intercede, for your intercession will
be accepted, and ask, your request will be granted.' " The Prophet (ﷺ)
added, "So I will raise my head and glorify and praise Him as He has
taught me. Then I will intercede and He will put a limit for me (to
intercede for a certain type of people). I will take them out and let
them enter Paradise." (Qatada added: I heard Anas saying that) the
Prophet said, 'I will go out and take them out of Hell (Fire) and let
them enter Paradise, and I will return for the third time and will ask
my Lord for permission to enter His house, and I will be allowed to
enter.
When I see Him, I will fall down in prostration before Him, and will
remain in prostration as long as He will, and then He will say, 'Raise
your head, O Muhammad, and speak, for you will be listened to, and
intercede, for your intercession will be accepted, and ask, for your
request will be granted.' So I will raise my head and praise Allah as
He has taught me and then I will intercede and He will put a limit for
me (to intercede for a certain type of people). I will take them out
and let them enter Paradise." (Qatada said: I heard Anas saying that)
the Prophet (ﷺ) said, "So I will go out and take them out of Hell (Fire)
and let them enter Paradise, till none will remain in the Fire except
those whom Quran will imprison (i.e., those who are destined for
eternal life in the fire)." The narrator then recited the Verse:-- "It
may be that your Lord will raise you to a Station of Praise and
Glory.' (17.79) The narrator added: This is the Station of Praise
and Glory which Allah has promised to your Prophet.
Sahih al-Bukhari Book 97, Hadith 66
When `Abdur-Rahman bin `Auf came to Medina and the Prophet (ﷺ) established the bond of brotherhood
between him and Sa`d bin Ar-Rabi-al-Ansari, Saud suggested that `Abdur-Rahman should accept half
of his property and family. `Abdur Rahman said, "May Allah bless you in your family and property;
guide me to the market." So `Abdur-Rahman (while doing business in the market) made some profit
of some condensed dry yoghurt and butter. After a few days the Prophet (ﷺ) saw him wearing clothes
stained with yellow perfume. The Prophet (ﷺ) asked, "What is this, O `Abdur-Rahman?" He said, "O
Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)! I have married an Ansar' woman." The Prophet (ﷺ) asked, "What have you given her as
Mahr?" He (i.e. `Abdur-Rahman) said, "A piece of gold, about the weight of a date stone." Then the
Prophet said, Give a banquet, even though of a sheep."
Sahih al-Bukhari Book 63, Hadith 162
'Adba belonged to a man of Banu 'Aqil. It used to go ahead of pligrims. The man was then captivated. He was brought in chains to the Prophet (ﷺ). The Prophet (ﷺ) was riding on a donkey with a blanket on him. He said: Muhammad, why do you arrest me and capture the one (i.e. the she-camel) which goes ahead of the pilgrims. He replied: We are arresting you on account of the crime committed by your allies Thaqid. Thaqif captivated two persons from among the Companions of the Prophet (ﷺ). He said (whatever he said) I am a Muslim, or he said: I have embraced Islam. When the Prophet (ﷺ) went ahead, he called him: O Muhammed, O Muhammed. Abu Dawud said: I learnt it from the version of the narrator Muhammad b. 'Isa. The Prophet (ﷺ) was compassionate and kind hearted. So he returned to him, and asked: What is the matter with you ? He replied: I am a Muslim. He said: Had you said it when the matter was in your hand, you would have succeeded completely. Abu Dawud said: I then returned to the version of the narrator Sulaiman (b. Harb). He said: Muhammad, I am hungry, so feed me. I am thirsty, so give me water. The Prophet (ﷺ) said: This is your need, or he said: This is his need (the narrator is doubtful). Later on the man was taken back (by Thaqif) as a ransom for the two men (of the Companions of the Prophet). The Prophet (ﷺ) retained 'Adba for his journey. The narrator said: The polytheists raided the pasturing animals of Medina and they took away 'Adba. When they took away 'Adba, they also captivated a Muslim woman. They used to leave their camels in the fields for rest at night. One night they slept and the (Muslim) woman stood up. Any camel on which she put her hand brayed until she came to 'Adba. She came to a she-camel which was docile and experienced. She then rode on her and vowed to Allah that if He saved her, she would sacrifice it. When she came to Medina, the people recognized the she-camel of the Prophet (ﷺ). The Prophet (ﷺ) was then informed about it and he sent for her. She was brought to him and she informed him about her vow. He said: It is a bad return that you have given it. Allah has not saved you, on its (back) that you now sacrifice it. A vow to do an act of disobedience must not be fulfilled, or to do something over which one has no control.
Abu Dawud said: This woman was the wife of Abu Dharr.
Sunan Abi Dawud Book 22, Hadith 75
Yahya related to me from Malik that he had heard Rabia ibn Abi
Abd ar-Rahman saying the same about that as what Ikrama related from
Ibn Abbas.
Malik said, "That is what I like most out of what
I have heard about the matter."
Malik was asked about a man
who forgot the tawaf al-ifada until he had left Makka and returned to
his community and he said, "I think that he should go back and do the
tawaf al-ifada, as long as he has not had sexual relations with women.
If, however, he has had sexual relations with women, then he should
not only return and do the tawaf al-ifada, but he should also do an
umra and sacrifice an animal. He should not buy theanimal in Makka and
sacrifice it there, but if he has not brought one with him from
wherever it was he set out to do umra, he should buy one in Makka and
then take it outside the limits of the Haram and drive it from there
to Makka and sacrifice it there."
Muwatta Malik Book 20, Hadith 169
Once Allah's Messenger (ﷺ); offered the morning prayer and then faced the people and said, "While a man
was driving a cow, he suddenly rode over it and beat it. The cow said, "We have not been created for
this, but we have been created for sloughing." On that the people said astonishingly, "Glorified be
Allah! A cow speaks!" The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "I believe this, and Abu Bakr and `Umar too, believe it,
although neither of them was present there. While a person was amongst his sheep, a wolf attacked
and took one of the sheep. The man chased the wolf till he saved it from the wolf, where upon the
wolf said, 'You have saved it from me; but who will guard it on the day of the wild beasts when there
will be no shepherd to guard them except me (because of riots and afflictions)? ' " The people said
surprisingly, "Glorified be Allah! A wolf speaks!" The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "But I believe this, and Abu Bakr
and `Umar too, believe this, although neither of them was present there." (See the Foot-note of page

Sahih al-Bukhari Book 60, Hadith 138
Juwayriyyah, daughter of al-Harith ibn al-Mustaliq, fell to the lot of Thabit ibn Qays ibn Shammas, or to her cousin. She entered into an agreement to purchase her freedom. She was a very beautiful woman, most attractive to the eye.
Aisha said: She then came to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) asking him for the purchase of her freedom. When she was standing at the door, I looked at her with disapproval. I realised that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) would look at her in the same way that I had looked.
She said: Messenger of Allah, I am Juwayriyyah, daughter of al-Harith, and something has happened to me, which is not hidden from you. I have fallen to the lot of Thabit ibn Qays ibn Shammas, and I have entered into an agreement to purchase of my freedom. I have come to you to seek assistance for the purchase of my freedom.
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: Are you inclined to that which is better? She asked: What is that, Messenger of Allah? He replied: I shall pay the price of your freedom on your behalf, and I shall marry you.
She said: I shall do this. She (Aisha) said: The people then heard that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) had married Juwayriyyah. They released the captives in their possession and set them free, and said: They are the relatives of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) by marriage. We did not see any woman greater than Juwayriyyah who brought blessings to her people. One hundred families of Banu al-Mustaliq were set free on account of her.
Abu dawud said: This evidence shows that a Muslim ruler may marry a slave woman himself.
Sunan Abi Dawud Book 31, Hadith 6
“Whenever he
appointed a man to lead a military detachment, the Messenger of Allah
(ﷺ) would advise him especially to fear Allah and treat the Muslims
with him well. He (ﷺ) said: ‘Fight in the Name of Allah and in
the
cause of Allah. Fight those how disbelieve in Allah. Fight but do
not
be treacherous, do not steal from the spoils of war, do not
mutilate
and do not kill children. When you meet your enemy from
among the
polytheists, call them to one of three things. Whichever of
them they
respond to, accept it from them and refrain from fighting
them. Invite
them to accept Islam, and if they respond then accept it
from them and
refrain from fighting them. Then invite them to leave
their land and
move to the land of the polytheists. Tell them that if
they do that,
then they will have the same rights and duties as the
polytheists. If
they refuse, then tell them that they will be like
the Muslim Bedouins
(who live in the desert), subject to the same
rulings of Allah as the
believers. But they will have no share of
Fay’* or war spoils, unless
they fight alongside the Muslims. If
they refuse to enter Islam, then
ask them to pay the Poll-tax. If
they do that, then accept it from
them and refrain from fighting
them. But if they refuse, then seek the
help of Allah against them
and fight them. If you lay siege to them
and they want you to give
them the protection of Allah and your
Prophet, do not give them the
protection of Allah and your Prophet,
rather give them your
protection and the protection of your father and
your Companions, for
if you violate your protection and the protection
of your fathers,
that is easier than violating the protection of Allah
and the
protection of His Messenger. If you lay siege to them and they
want
you to let them come out with a promise of the judgement of Allah
and
His Messenger (ﷺ), do not offer them a promise of the judgement
of
Allah and His Messenger (ﷺ), rather offer them your judgement,
because you do not know if you will actually pass (the same as)
Allah’s judgement regarding them or not.’”
Another chain reports a similar hadith.
Sunan Ibn Majah Book 24, Hadith 106
My Ansari neighbor from Bani Umaiya bin Zaid who used to live at `Awali Al-Medina and used to
visit the Prophet (ﷺ) by turns. He used to go one day and I another day. When I went I used to bring the
news of that day regarding the Divine Inspiration and other things, and when he went, he used to do
the same for me. Once my Ansari friend, in his turn (on returning from the Prophet), knocked
violently at my door and asked if I was there." I became horrified and came out to him. He said,
"Today a great thing has happened." I then went to Hafsa and saw her weeping. I asked her, "Did
Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) divorce you all?" She replied, "I do not know." Then, I entered upon the Prophet (ﷺ) and
said while standing, "Have you divorced your wives?" The Prophet (ﷺ) replied in the negative. On that I
said, "Allahu-Akbar (Allah is Greater)." (See Hadith No. 119, Vol. 3 for details)
Sahih al-Bukhari Book 3, Hadith 31
Yahya related to me from Malik from Abu'z Zinad from al-Araj from
Abu Hurayra that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant
him peace, said, "A man said to his family that he had never done a
good action, and that when he died they were to burn him and then
scatter half of him on the land and half of him on the sea, and by
Allah, if Allah destined it for him He would punish him with a
punishment which He had not punished anyone else with in all the
worlds. When the man died, they did as he had told them. Then Allah
told the land to collect everything that was in it, and told the sea
to collect everything that was in it, and then He said to the man,
'Why did you do this?' and he said, 'From fear of You, Lord, and You
know best.' "
Abu Hurayra added, "And He forgave him."
Muwatta Malik Book 16, Hadith 53
Now you have called for this lion who strikes (the enemies) with his tail. He then brought out his tongue and began to move it and said: By Him Who has sent you with Truth, I shall tear them with my tongue as the leather is torn. Thereupon Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said: Don't be hasty; (let) Abu Bakr who has the best know- ledge of the lineage of the Quraish draw a distinction for you in regard to my lineage, as my lineage is thesame as theirs. Hassan then came to him (Abu Bakr) and after making inquiry (in regard to the lineage of the Holy Prophet) came back to him (the holy Prophet) and said: Allah's Messenger, he (Abu Bakr) has drawn a distinction in vour lineage (and that of the Quraish) By Him Who has sent you with Truth, I shall draw out from them (your name) as hair is drawn out from the flour. 'A'isha said: I heard Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying to Hassin: Verily Ruh-ul- Qudus would continue to help you so long as you put up a defence on behalf of Allah and His Messenger. And she said: I heard Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) saying: Hassan satirised against them and gave satisfaction to the (Muslims) and disquieted (the non-Muslims).
You satirised Muhammad, but I replied on his behalf,
And there is reward with Allah for this.
You satirised Muhammad. virtuous, righteous,
The Apostle of Allah, whose nature is truthfulness.
So verily my father and his father and my honour
Are a protection to the honour of Muhammad;
May I lose my dear daughter, if you don't see her,
Wiping away the dust from the two sides of Kada',
They pull at the rein, going upward;
On their shoulders are spears thirsting (for the blood of the enemy) ;
our steeds are sweating-our women wipe them with their mantles.
If you had not interfered with us, we would have performed the 'Umra,
And (then) there was the Victory, and the darkness cleared away.
Otherwise wait for the fighting on the day in which Allah will honour whom He pleases.
And Allah said: I have sent a servant who says the Truth in which there is no ambiguity;
And Allah said: I have prepared an army-they are the Ansar whose object is fighting (the enemy),
There reaches every day from Ma'add abuse, or fighting or satire;
Whoever satirises the Apostle from amongst you, or praises him and helps it is all the same,
And Gabriel, the Messenger of Allah is among us, and the Holy Spirit who has no match.
Sahih Muslim Book 44, Hadith 225
"I was very keen to ask 'Umar bin Al-Khattab about the two wives of the Messenger of Allah to whom Allah said: If you two turn in repentance to Allah, (it will be better for you), your hearts are indeed so inclined." And he quoted the Hadith. He said concerning it:' "The from his wives for twenty-nine days because of that, when Hafsah had made her disclosure to Aishah. He had said: 'I will not enter upon them for a month,' because he was so upset with them when Allah, the Mighty and Sublime, informed him of what they had said. When twenty-nine days had passed, he entered upon 'Aishah, so he started with her. Aishah, said to him: 'O Messenger of Allah, you swore not to enter upon us for a month, and now twenty-nine days have passed; we have been counting them.' The Messenger of Allah said; 'The month is twenty-nine days."'
Sunan an-Nasa'i Book 22, Hadith 43
(the mother of believers) Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) during his fatal ailment said, "Order Abu Bakr to lead the
people in prayer." I said, "If Abu Bakr stood at your place (in prayers, the people will not be able to
hear him because of his weeping, so order `Umar to lead the people in prayer." He again said, "Order
Abu Bakr to lead the people in prayer " Then I said to Hafsa, "Will you say (to the Prophet), 'If Abu
Bakr stood at your place, the people will not be able to hear him be cause of his weeping, so order
`Umar to lead the people in prayer?" Hafsa did so, whereupon Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "You are like the
companions of Joseph (See Qur'an, 12:30-32). Order Abu Bakr to lead the people in prayer." Hafsa
then said to me, "I have never received any good from you!"
Sahih al-Bukhari Book 96, Hadith 34
