“I supplicate Allah to bring you and I together in the marketplace
of Paradise,” Sa’eed said: “Is there a marketplace there?” He
said: “Yes. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) told me that when the
people of Paradise enter it, they will take their places according to
their deeds, and they will be given permission for a length of time
equivalent to Friday on earth, when they will visit Allah. His Throne
will be shown to them and He will appear to them in one of the
gardens of Paradise. Chairs of light and chairs of pearls and chairs
of rubies and chairs of chrysolite and chairs of gold and chairs of
silver will be placed for them. Those who are of a lower status than
them, and none of them will be regarded as insignificant, will sit on
sandhills of musk and camphor, and they will not feel that those who
are sitting on chairs are seated better than them.”
Abu Hurairah said: “I said: ‘O Messenger of Allah, will we see our Lord?’ He said: ‘Yes. Do you dispute that you see the sun and the moon on the night when it is full?’ We said: ‘No.’ He said: ‘Likewise, you will not dispute that you see your Lord, the Glorified. There will be no one left in that gathering with whom Allah does not speak face to face, until He will say to a man among you: “Do you not remember, O so-and-so, the day you did such and such?” And He will remind him of some of his sins in this world. He will say: “O Lord, have You not forgiven me?” He will say: “Yes, it is by the vastness of My forgiveness that You have reached the position you are in.” While they are like that, a cloud will cover them from above and will rain down on them perfume the like of whose fragrance they have never smelled before. Then He will say: “Get up and go to the honor that has been prepared for you, and take whatever you desire.” So we will go to a marketplace surrounded by the angels, in which there will be such things as eyes have never seen, ears have never heard and it has not entered the heart of man. Whatever we desire will be carried for us. Nothing will be bought or sold therein. In that marketplace the people of Paradise will meet one another. A man of elevated status will meet those who are of lower status than him, but none shall be regarded as insignificant, and he will be dazzled by the clothes that he sees on him. He will not finish the last of his conversation before better clothes appear on him. That is because no one should be sad there.’”
“He said: ‘Then we will go back to our homes where we will be met by our wives, and they will say: ‘Welcome. You have come looking more handsome and with a better fragrance than when you left us.’ And we will say: ‘Today we sat with our Lord, the Compeller, the Glorified, and we deserve to come back as we have come back.’”
Sunan Ibn Majah Book 37, Hadith 237
"I asked 'Aishah with what did he- meaning the Prophet (ﷺ)- start Qiyam Al-Lail? She said: 'You have asked me something which no one before you has asked. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to say the takbir ten times, the tahmid ten times, the tasbih ten times, and the tahlil ten times, and pray for forgiveness ten times, and say: Allahummaghfirli, wahdini, warzuqni wa 'afini. A'udhu billahi min diqil-maqami yawmal-qiyamah (O Allah, forgive me, guide me, grant me provision and good health. I seek refuge with Allah from the difficulty of standing on the Day of Resurrection.)"
Sunan an-Nasa'i Book 20, Hadith 20
Malik related to me that he heard Ibn Shihab say, "The precedent
of the sunna is that when a slave is freed, his property follows him."
Malik said, "One thing which makes clear that the property of
a slave follows him when he is freed is that when the contract
(mukatab) is written for his freedom, his property follows him even if
he did not stipulate it. That is because the bond of kitaba is the
bond of wala' when it is complete. The property of a slave and a
mukatab is not treated in the same way as any children they may have.
Their children are only treated in the same way as their own slaves,
not in the same way as their property. This is because the sunna, in
which there is no dispute, is that when a slave is freed, his property
follows him and his children do not follow him, and when a mukatab
writes the contract for his freedom, his property follows him and his
children do not follow him."
Malik said, "One thing which
makes that clear is that when a slave or a mukatab are bankrupt, their
property is taken but the mothers of their children and their children
are not taken because they are not their property."
Malik
said, "Another thing which makes it clear is that when a slave is sold
and the person who buys him stipulates the inclusions of his property,
his children are not included in his property."
Malik said,
"Another thing which makes it clear is that when a slave does injure
some one, he and his property are taken, and his children are not
taken."
Muwatta Malik Book 38, Hadith 6
When the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) started to pray, he would say Takbir, then say: "Wajahtu wajhi lilladhi fataras-samawatiwal-arda hanifan wa ma ana minal-mushrikin. Inna salati wa nusuki wa mahyaya wa mamati lillahi rabbil-alamin, la sharika lahu, wa bidhalika umirtu wa ana min al-muslimin. Allahumma! Antal-maliku la ilaha illa ant, ana abduka zalamtu nafsi wa'taraftu bidhanbi faghfirli dhunubi jami'an, la yaghfirudhunuba illa anta, wahdini lihasanil-ahklaqi, la yahdi li ahsaniha illa anta wasrif anni sayy'aha la yasrifu anni sayy'aha illa anta, labaika wa sa'daika, wal-khairu kulluhu fi yadaika wash-sharru laisa ilaika ana bika wa ilaika ana bika wa ilaika tabarkta wa ta'alaita astaghfiruka wa atubu ilaik. (Verily, I have turned my face toward Him who created the Heavens and the Earth hanifa (worhsipping none but Allah Alone), and I am not of the idolaters. Verily, my salah, my sacrifice, my living, and my dying are for Allah, the Lord of the all that exists. He has no partner. And of this I have been commanded, and I am one of the Muslims. O Allah, You are the Sovereign and there is none worthy of worship but You. I am Your slave, I have wronged myself and I acknowledge my sin. Forgive me all my sins for no one forgives sins but You. Guide me to the best of manners for none can guide to the best of them but You. Protect me from bad manners for none can protect against them but You. I am at Your service, all goodness is in Your hands, and evil is not attributed to You. I rely on You and turn to You, blessed and exalted are You, I seek Your forgiveness and repent to You."
Sunan an-Nasa'i Book 11, Hadith 22
"Al-'Abbas bin 'Abdul-Muttalib entered upon the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) in a state of anger while I was with him, so he said: 'What has angered you?' He said: 'O Messenger of Allah, what is it with us and the Quraish, whenever they meet one another it is with glad faces, and when they meet us they meet us with other than that?'" He said: "So the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) became angry, until his face reddened, then he said: 'By the One in Whose Hand is my soul! Faith does not enter a man's heart until he loves you for the sake of Allah, and for the sake of His Messenger.' Then he said: 'O people! Whoever harms my uncle, he has harmed me, for indeed, a man's uncle is not but the Sinw (two or three palm trees will come from a single root, so each is called a Sinw. A man's uncle is like that to his father. That is, he is like his father) of his father."
Jami` at-Tirmidhi Book 49, Hadith 155
Salim Abu Al Nadr, client of ‘Umar bin ‘Ubaid Allaah that is Ibn Ma’mar who Salim was his (‘Umar’s) secretary reported “When ‘Abd Allah bin Abi Afwa went out to the Haruriyyah (Khawarij), he wrote to him (‘Umar bin ‘Ubaid Allaah), The Messenger of Allah(ﷺ) said on a ceratin day when he was fighting with the enemy. O people do not desire to meet the enemy, ask Allaah, Most High, for health and security. When you meet them (the enemy) have patience and endurance, you should know that paradise is under the shade of swords. He then said “O Allaah, Who sends down the Book, makes the cloud to travel and rotes the confederates, tout them and give us victory over them.”
