Quran 3 : 188

Do not think that those who are happy with what they have been given, and they love to be praised for what they did not do; do not think they are saved from the punishment. For them is a painful retribution.

Think not that those who exult in what they have brought about, and love to be praised for what they have not done,- think escape the penalty. For them is a penalty Grievous indeed

Those who exult in their misdeeds and love to be praised for what they have not done should not suppose that they are secure from punishment; they shall suffer a grievous punishment

And never think that those who rejoice in what they have perpetrated and like to be praised for what they did not do - never think them [to be] in safety from the punishment, and for them is a painful punishment

Do not think that those who rejoice in what they have produced, and love to be praised for what they have not done, - so do not think that they are in safety from the punishment, - and for them is painful punishment.

Do not suppose that those who exult in what they have brought about and love to be praised for what they have not done—do not suppose that they are delivered from the punishment; theirs is a painful punishment

Do not think that those who rejoice in what they have done, and love to be praised for what they have not done—do not think they can evade the punishment. They will have a painful punishment

Don’t think that those who take pride in their deeds, and they love to be praised for what they haven’t done, will evade punishment. A severe punishment awaits them.

Do not consider those who feel delighted about what they have been given and love to be praised for something they have not done, do not reckon they [have found] any means to triumph over torment. They will have painful torment!

Think not that those (people) who take (extreme) joy in what they have brought about, and love to be praised for what they have not done— Think not that they can escape the Penalty for them (such people) is a Penalty painful indeed

Think not that those who exult in what they have done, and love to be praised for what they have not done - think not that they are secure from punishment. They shall suffer a grievous chastisement

Do not think those who rejoice for what they have done and love that they should be praised for what they have not done-- so do by no means think them to be safe from the chastisement, and they shall have a painful chastisement

(And yet they exult in that!) Think not that those who boast about their works, and love to be praised for what they have not done -- Think not, they can escape chastisement. For them is an awful suffering

Do not consider those who rejoice by what they brought about, and they love to be praised with what they have not done, so do not consider them to have won away from the torment, and for them a painful torment.

Do not think that those who rejoice over what they were given and who love to be praised for what they did not do - do not think that they will escape from punishment. They will have agonizing punishment.

Those who boast about their works, and wish to be praised for something they have not really done, should not think that they can evade the retribution. They have incurred a painful retribution.

Never think that those who rejoice in their misdeeds and wish to be praised for what they failed to do ― never think they will escape the torment; woeful torment awaits them

Don´t count those who rejoice in what they were given and love to be praised for what they did not do, don´t count that they will escape from the punishment, and a painful punishment awaits them.

Do not let those who rejoice in their misdeeds and love to take credit for what they have not done think they will escape torment. They will suffer a painful punishment.

O Prophet, do not consider those who delight at what they have done and wish to be praised for what they failed to do; don’t think they’ve escaped the punishment; they shall have a painful punishment.

Do not think that those who express joy in what they have done and love to be praised for what they themselves have not done are safe from divine punishment. For lo! They will be subjected to a painful punishment.

Think not that those who express joy in what they have done, and love to be praised for what they themselves have not done, are safety from divine punishment. For lo! They will be subjected to an extremely painful punishment (in the ‘Hereafter’).

Do not think of those who are delighted with what they did, and love to be praised for what they never did - do not think they are secure from the punishment. For them there is a painful punishment

Do not think that those who are happy with their possessions and positions and those who love to be praised for what they themselves have not done can ever be saved from torment. For them there will be a painful punishment

Think not that those who exult in what they have given, and love to be praised for what they have not done - Think not, they are in safety from the doom. A painful doom is theirs

Definitely do not reckon that the ones who exult with what they have come up with and love to be praised for what they have not performed, so definitely do not reckon them exempted (i.e., that they will have a place of safety, or triumph) from torment, and they will have a painful torment

Think not that those who exult in what they have thus contrived, and who love to be praised for what they have not done - think not that they will escape suffering: for grievous suffering does await them [in the life to come]

Do not think/suppose those who become happy/rejoiced with what they got/were given, and they love/like that they be thanked/praised with what they did not make/do, so do not think/suppose them with a winning/success/triumph from the torture, and for them (is) a painful torture

Think not of them as safe from punishment who exult in what they have got done and love to be praised for what they have not done.And a painful punishment for them

Do not think that those who are happy for that which they have done and love to be praised for what they did not do, so do not think that they are in safety from the punishment when there is a painful punishment (waiting) for them.

Think not that those who exult in what they have done, and love to be praised for what they have not done -- think not them to be safe from the chastisement; and for them is a painful chastisement

Do not think that those who exult in their misdeeds and love to be praised for what indeed they have not done, do not think that they are secure from chastisement. A painful chastisement awaits them

Do not concentrate on those who exult in what they have brought about and love to be praised for what they have not done. Do not think that they can escape the penalty. For them is a dreadful penalty.

Suppose not that they who rejoice in what they have brought to pass, and love to be praised for what they have not done - suppose not they shall escape the chastisement. An afflictive chastisement doth await them

Do not consider those who feel delighted about what they have done [deceiving and misleading people] and love to be praised for something they have not done [being righteous although they deceive people] , do not consider [repeated for confirmation] they [have found] any means to escape torment. They will have painful torment!

Think not that those who rejoice in what they have done (or brought about), and love to be praised for what they have not done,- think not you that they are rescued from the torment, and for them is a painful torment

Do not think that those who rejoice in what they have brought and love to be praised for what they have not done do not think they will be secure from the punishment. And for them there is a painful punishment

Think not that those who rejoice in what they have given, and love to be praised for what they have not done, - think not that they are in safety from woe - for them is painful woe

Think not that they who rejoice at what they have done, and expect to be praised for what they have not done; think not, O prophet, that they shall escape from punishment, for they shall suffer a painful punishment

And do not think that those who exult in that which they give and they love to be praised for that which they have not done, do not think that they are at refuge from the punishment and for them there will be a painful punishment.

Do not ever think of those who rejoice for their deeds and wish to be praised without doing (good deeds) - do not ever think that they are safe from the punishment; and for them is a painful punishment

Count not that those who rejoice in what they have produced, and love to be praised for what they have not done,- think not that they are in safety from woe,- for them is grievous woe

Do not think that, those who exult in what they were given, and love to be praised for what they haven´t done (are safe). Do not think that they are exempt from the torment. There exists a painful punishment for them

Never regard those (as the emancipated ones) who rejoice over their crooked works and want to be praised for the deeds that they have never done. (Proclaimed for emphasis:) Never think that they are delivered from punishment; and for them is an awful torment

Assume not that those who are glad for what they brought and who love to be praised for what they accomplish not, assume not, then, that they will be kept safe from the punishment. And for them, a painful punishment.

Do not think about those who rejoice about what they brought with (themselves) and they (also) love that they may be praised for that which they have not done — so regard them not as ‘rescued from the punishment’. And, for them, (is) a painful punishment

(Do) not think (that) those who rejoice in what (they have) brought and they love that they be praised for what not they do so (do) not think (that) they (will) escape from the punishment and for them (is a) punishment painful

Do not think that those who brag about what they have done, and love to be praised for what they have not done, will escape the penalty, for them is a terrible penalty indeed

Those who pretend that they are engaged in good deeds and like to be praised for what they have not done [refer to the above mentioned covenant] will not escape the punishment. . The fact is that a terrible punishment is waiting for them

Do not think that those who are happy with what they did (or achieved) and love to be praised for what they did not do, are safe from the punishment, and they will have a painful punishment.

Reckon not that those who rejoice in what they have brought, and love to be praised for what they have not done -- do not reckon them secure from chastisement; for them awaits a painful chastisement

You should not think - indeed you should not think that those who exult in what they have brought about, and love to be praised for what they have not done, are secure from punishment; rather a woeful punishment awaits them

Never suppose that those who rejoice in what they have thus contrived, and who love to be (famed and) praised for what they have not achieved (such as being devout and pious and defenders of God’s law) – never suppose that they have saved themselves from the punishment: for them is a painful punishment

Do not suppose those who exult in what they have done, and love to be praised for what they have not done —do not suppose them saved from punishment, and there is a painful punishment for them

Those who exult in what they have done and love to be praised for what they have not done should not suppose that they have escaped the punishment. They will have a painful punishment.

Never think of those who rejoice on their doings and wish that they may be praised without doing. Never think of such people away from the torment and for them is the painful torment.

Do not think highly of those who pride themselves with what they have done and love to be praised for what they haven’t done! And do not think they will escape the suffering! Severe suffering awaits them.

Think not that those who exult at what they have done, and who love to be praised for what they have not done, shall escape the punishment, for grievous indeed will be their doom

Bethink not thou that those who exult in that which they have brought and love to De praised for that which they have not done, - bethink not thou that they shall be in security from the torment! And theirs shall be a torment afflictive

Those who rejoice for what they have done, and love that they are praised for what they have not done, should not think that they will escape from the punishment, but for them there is a painful punishment,

Do not think [Prophet] that those who exult in what they have done and seek praise for things they have not done will escape the torment; agonizing torment awaits them
