Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "Allah does not listen to a prophet as He listens to a prophet who recites the
Quran in a pleasant tone." The companion of the sub-narrator (Abu Salama) said, "It means, reciting
it aloud."

I asked `Abdullah bin Abi `Aufa, "Did the Prophet (ﷺ) make a will (to appoint his successor or bequeath
wealth)?" He replied, "No." I said, "How is it prescribed then for the people to make wills, and they
are ordered to do so while the Prophet (ﷺ) did not make any will?" He said, "He made a will wherein he
recommended Allah's Book."

Quran in a loud and pleasant tone." Sufyan said, "This saying means: a prophet who regards the
Quran as something that makes him dispense with many worldly pleasures."
