The Prophet (ﷺ) said: The leaves should not be beaten off and the trees should not be cut in the protected land of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), but the leaves can be beaten off softly.

← Previous Hadith A client of Sa’ad said “Sa’ad found some slaves from the slaves of Medina cutting the trees of Medina.” So, he took away their property and said to their patrons “I heard the Apostle of Allaah(ﷺ) prohibiting to cut any tree of Medina”. He said “If anyone cuts any one of them, what is taken from him will belong to the one who seizes him.”

Sunan Abi Dawud Book 11, Hadith 318 Next Hadith → Ibn ‘Umar said “The Apostle of Allaah(ﷺ) used to visit Quba on foot and riding. Ibn Numair added “and he used to offer two rak’ahs of prayer.”
