Ibn ‘Umar said The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to come out from (Medina) by the way of Al Shajarah and enter (Makkah) by the way of Al Mu’arras.

← Previous Hadith The Prophet (ﷺ) used to enter Makkah from Kuda’ from the hillock of Batha’. He would come out from the lower hillock.

Al Barmaki added “that is the two hillocks of Makkah”.

The version of Musaddad is more complete.

Sunan Abi Dawud Book 11, Hadith 146 Next Hadith → A’ishah said The Apostle of Allaah (ﷺ) entered Makkah from the side of Kuda’ the upper end of Makkah in the year of conquest (of Makkah) and he entered from the side of Kida’ when he performed ‘Umrah. ‘Urwah used to enter (Makkah) from both sides, but he often entered from the side of Kuda’ as it was nearer to his house.
