"The Messenger of Allah sent Mu'adh and me to Yemen. Mu'adh said: 'You are sending us to a land where the people have many kinds of drinks. What should I drink?' He said: 'Drink, but do not drink any intoxicant.'"
Sunan an-Nasa'i Book 51, Hadith 58 Next Hadith → "I heard 'Ata' being asked by a man: 'We travel and drinks are offered to us in the marketplaces, and we do not know what kind of vessels they were prepared in.' He said: 'Every intoxicant is unlawful.' He repeated the question and he said: 'Every intoxicant is unlawful.' He repeated the question and he said: 'It is as I have told you.'"
