That the Prophet (ﷺ) said: "Close the door, tie the water-skin, turn over the vessel, or cover the vessel, and extinguish the torch. Indeed Ash-Shaitan does not open what is closed, nor undo what is fastened, nor uncover a vessel, but the small vermin may cause a fire in people's houses."
He said: There are narrations on this topic from Ibn 'Umar, Abu Hurairah, and Ibn 'Abbas.
This Hadith is Hasan Sahih, and it has been reported through other routes from Jabir.
Jami` at-Tirmidhi Book 25, Hadith 26
Yahya related to me from Malik that Yahya ibn Said said, "The
Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, had
wanted to take two pieces of wood to strike them together to gather
people for the prayer, and Abdullah ibn Zayd al-Ansari, then of the
tribe of Harith ibn al-Khazraj, was shown two pieces of wood in his
sleep. He said, 'These are close to what the Messenger of Allah, may
Allah bless him and grant him peace, wants.' Then it was said, 'Do
you not call to the prayer?', so when he woke up he went to the
Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and
mentioned the dream to him. The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless
him and grant him peace, ordered the adhan."
Muwatta Malik Book 3, Hadith 1
Yahya related to me from Malik that Yahya ibn Said said that
Muhammad ibn Ibrahim at-Taymi had informed him that Abu Salama ibn Abd
ar-Rahman said "Abd ar-Rahman ibn al-Aswad ibn Abdal-Yaghuth used to
sit with us and he had a white beard and hair. One day he came to us
and he had dyed them red, and the people said to him, 'This is
better.' He said. 'A'isha the wife of the Prophet, may Allah bless him
and grant him peace, sent her slave girl Nukhayla to me yesterday. She
swore that my hair would be dyed and she informed me that Abu Bakr as-
Siddiq used to dye his hair.' "
Yahya said that he heard
Malik say about dyeing the hair black, 'I have not heard anything
certain on that, and other colours than that are preferable to me."
Yahya said, "Not to dye at all is permitted, Allah willing,
and there is no constraint on people concerning it."
Yahya
said that he had heard Malik say, "There is no clear indication in
this hadith that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant
him peace, did not dye his hair. Had the Messenger of Allah, may Allah
bless him and grant him peace, dyed his hair, A'isha would have sent a
message to that effect to Abd ar-Rahman ibn al-Aswad."
Muwatta Malik Book 51, Hadith 8
The Prophet (ﷺ) came out after the sun had declined and offered the Zuhr prayer (in congregation). After
finishing it with Taslim, he stood on the pulpit and mentioned the Hour and mentioned there would
happen great events before it. Then he said, "Whoever wants to ask me any question, may do so, for
by Allah, you will not ask me about anything but I will inform you of its answer as long as I am at this
place of mine." On this, the Ansar wept violently, and Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) kept on saying, "Ask Me! "
Then a man got up and asked, ''Where will my entrance be, O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)?" The Prophet (ﷺ) said,
"(You will go to) the Fire." Then `Abdullah bin Hudhaifa got up and asked, "Who is my father, O
Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)?" The Prophet (ﷺ) replied, "Your father is Hudhaifa." The Prophet (ﷺ) then kept on saying
(angrily), "Ask me! Ask me!" `Umar then knelt on his knees and said, "We have accepted Allah as our
Lord and Islam as our religion and Muhammad as an Apostle." Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) became quiet when
`Umar said that. Then Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "By Him in Whose Hand my life is, Paradise and Hell
were displayed before me across this wall while I was praying, and I never saw such good and evil as
I have seen today."
Sahih al-Bukhari Book 96, Hadith 25
The Prophet (ﷺ) ordered us to do seven (things) and forbade us from seven. He ordered us to visit the
patients, to follow the funeral procession, to reply to the sneezer (i.e., say to him, 'Yarhamuka-l-lah
(May Allah bestow His Mercy upon you), if he says 'Al-hamduli l-lah' (Praise be to Allah), to help
others to fulfill their oaths, to help the oppressed, to greet (whomever one should meet), and to accept
the invitation (to a wedding banquet). He forbade us to wear golden rings, to use silver utensils, to use
Maiyathir (cushions of silk stuffed with cotton and placed under the rider on the saddle), the Qasiyya
(linen clothes containing silk brought from an Egyptian town), the Istibraq (thick silk) and the Dibaj
(another kind of silk). (See Hadith No. 539 and 753).
