We were at Al-Ahwaz fighting the Al-Haruriya (tribe). While I was at the bank of a river a man was
praying and the reins of his animal were in his hands and the animal was struggling and he was
following the animal. (Shu`ba, a sub-narrator, said that man was Abu Barza Al-Aslami). A man from
the Khawarij said, "O Allah! Be harsh to this sheik." And when the sheik (Abu Barza) finished his
prayer, he said, "I heard your remark. No doubt, I participated with Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) in six or seven or
eight holy battles and saw his leniency, and no doubt, I would rather retain my animal than let it return
to its stable, as it would cause me much trouble. "
Sahih al-Bukhari Book 21, Hadith 15
"When the Prophet of Allah sat, some of his Companions would sit with him. Among them was a man who had a little son who used to come to him from behind, and he would make him sit in front of him. He (the child) died, and the man stopped attending the circle because it reminded him of his son, and made him feel sad. The Prophet missed him and said: 'Why do I not see so-and-so?' They said: O Messenger of Allah, his son whom you saw has died.' The Prophet met him and asked him about his son, and he told him that he had died. He offered his condolences and said: 'O son-and-so, which would you like better, to enjoy his company all you life, or to come to any of the gates of Paradise on the Day of Resurrection, and find that he arrived there before you, and he is opening the gate for you?' he said: 'O Prophet of Allah! For him to get to the gate of Paradise before me and open it for me is dearer to me.' He said: 'You will have that."'

Malik said that a man who had committed fornication with a woman
and the hadd-punishment had been applied to him for it, could marry
that woman's daughter and his son could marry the woman herself if he
wished. That was because he had haram relations with her, and the
relations Allah had made haram were from the relations made in a halal
manner or in a manner resembling marriage. Allah, the Blessed, the
Exalted, said, "Do not marry the women your fathers have married. "
(Sura 4 ayat 21)
Malik said, "If a man were to marry a woman
in her idda-period in a halal marriage and have relations with her, it
would be haram for his son to marry the woman. That is because the
father married her in a halal manner, and the hadd-punishment would
not have been applied to him. Any child who was born to him would be
attached to him as the father. Just as it would be haram for the son
to marry a woman whom his father had married in her idda-period and
had relations with, so the woman's daughter would be haram for the
father if he had had sexual relations with her."
Muwatta Malik Book 28, Hadith 25
When the 'Iddah of Zainab was over, Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said to Zaid to make a mention to her about him. Zaid went on until he came to her and she was fermenting her flour. He (Zaid) said: As I saw her I felt in my heart an idea of her greatness so much so that I could not see towards her (simply for the fact) that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) had made a mention of her. So I turned my back towards her. and I turned upon my heels, and said: Zainab, Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) has sent (me) with a message to you. She said: I do not do anything until I solicit the will of my Lord. So she stood at her place of worship and the (verse of) the Quran (pertaining to her marriage) were revealed, and Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) came to her without permission. He (the narrator) said: I saw that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) served us bread and meat until it was broad day light and the people went away, but some persons who were busy in con- versation stayed on in the house after the meal. Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) also went out and I also followed him, and he began to visit the apartments of his wives greeting them (with the words): As-Salamu 'alaikum, and they would say: Allah's Messenger, how did you find your family (hadrat Zainab)? He (the narrator) stated: I do not know whether I had informed him that the people had gone out or he (the Holy Prophet) informed me (about that). He moved on until he entered the apartment, and I also went and wanted to enter (the apartment) along with him, but he threw a curtain between me and him, as (the verfes pertaining to seclusion) had been revealed, and people were instructed in what they had been instructed. Ibn Rafii had made this addition in his narration:" O you who believe, enter not the houses of the Prophet unless permission is given to you for a meal, not waiting for its cooking being finished..." to the words"... Allah forbears not from the truth."
