Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "Noah will be called on the Day of Resurrection and he will say, 'Labbaik and
Sa`daik, O my Lord!' Allah will say, 'Did you convey the Message?' Noah will say, 'Yes.' His nation
will then be asked, 'Did he convey the Message to you?' They will say, 'No Warner came to us.' Then
Allah will say (to Noah), 'Who will bear witness in your favor?' He will say, 'Muhammad and his
followers. So they (i.e. Muslims) will testify that he conveyed the Message. And the Apostle
(Muhammad) will be a witness over yourselves, and that is what is meant by the Statement of Allah
"Thus We have made of you a just and the best nation that you may be witnesses over mankind and
the Apostle (Muhammad) will be a witness over yourselves."

Sahih al-Bukhari Book 65, Hadith 14
Ibn `Umar said, "The Prophet (ﷺ) arrived at Mecca and sent for `Uthman bin Talha. He opened the gate of
the Ka`ba and the Prophet, Bilal, Usama bin Zaid and `Uthman bin Talha entered the Ka`ba and then
they closed its door (from inside). They stayed there for an hour, and then came out." Ibn `Umar
added, "I quickly went to Bilal and asked him (whether the Prophet (ﷺ) had prayed). Bilal replied, 'He
prayed in it.' I asked, 'Where?' He replied, 'Between the two pillars.' "Ibn `Umar added, "I forgot to
ask how many rak`at he (the Prophet) had prayed in the Ka`ba."
Sahih al-Bukhari Book 8, Hadith 116
Yahya related to me from Malik that Ibn Shihab used to say, "Some
one who catches a raka of the jumua prayer should pray another one
with it." Ibn Shihab said, "That is the sunna."
Malik said,
"I saw the people of knowledge in our city doing that. That is because
the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said,
'Whoever catches a raka of the prayer has caught the prayer.' "
Malik said, concerning some one who was in a crowd on the day of
jumua and did the ruku but was not able to go into sajda until the
imam had risen or finished his prayer, "If he is able to do the sajda
and has already done the ruku then he should do the sajda when the
people stand up. If he is unable to do thesajda until after the imam
has finished the prayer, then I prefer that he begins the prayeragain
and does the four rakas of dhuhr."
Muwatta Malik Book 5, Hadith 12
"The Messenger of Allah heard that I was fasting continually and praying all night." Either he sent for him, or he happened to meet him and he said: "Have I not been told that you fast and never break your fast, and you pray all night? Do not do that, for do that, for your eyes should have a share, your self should have a share, and your family should have a share. Fast and break your fast; pray and sleep. Fast one day out of every ten, and your will have the reward of the other nine." He said: " I am able to do more than that, O Messenger of Allah." He said: "Observe the fast of Dawud then." " I said: 'How did Dawud fast, O Prophet of Allah? He said: 'He used to fast one day, and not the next, and he never fled if he met(the enemy in battle)."' He said: "How can I compare to him, O Prophet of Allah?"
