that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "Whoever spends a pair of things in the path of Allah, he will be called in Paradise: 'O Worshiper of Allah, this is good.' And whoever is among the people of Salat, he will be called from the gate of Salat, and whoever was among from the people of Jihad, he will be called from the gate of Jihad. And whoever was among the people of charity, then he will be called from the gate of charity, and whoever was from the people of fasting, then he will be called from the gate of Ar-Rayyan." So Abu Bakr said: "May my father and mother be ransomed for you! The one who is called from these gates will be free of all worries. But will anyone be called from all of those gates?" He (ﷺ) said: "Yes, and I hope that you are among them."
Jami` at-Tirmidhi Book 49, Hadith 70
When the delegate of `Abd Al-Qais came to Allah's Messenger (ﷺ), he said, "Who are the delegate?" They
said, "The delegate are from the tribe of Rabi`a." The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Welcome, O the delegate, and
welcome! O people! Neither you will have any disgrace nor will you regret." They said, "O Allah's
Apostle! Between you and us there are the infidels of the tribe of Mudar, so please order us to do
something good (religious deeds) that by acting on them we may enter Paradise, and that we may
inform (our people) whom we have left behind, about it." They also asked (the Prophet) about drinks.
He forbade them from four things and ordered them to do four things. He ordered them to believe in
Allah, and asked them, "Do you know what is meant by belief in Allah?" They said, "Allah and His
Apostle know best." He said, ''To testify that none has the right to be worshipped except Allah, the
One, Who has no partners with Him, and that Muhammad is Allah's Messenger (ﷺ); and to offer prayers
perfectly and to pay Zakat." (the narrator thinks that fasting in Ramadan is included), "and to give
one-fifth of the war booty (to the state)." Then he forbade four (drinking utensils): Ad-Duba', Al56
Hantam, Al-Mazaffat and An-Naqir, or probably, Al-Muqaiyar. And then the Prophet (ﷺ) said,
"Remember all these things by heart and preach it to those whom you have left behind."
Sahih al-Bukhari Book 95, Hadith 20
Malik related to me from Ibn Shihab that he had heard that in the
time of the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him
peace, women were becoming muslim in their own lands and they did not
do hijra while their husbands were still kafirun although they
themselves had become muslim. Among them was the daughter of al-Walid
ibn al-Mughira and she was the wife of Safwan ibn Umayya. She became
muslim on the day of the conquest (of Makka), and her husband, Safwan
ibn Umayya fled from Islam. The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless
him and grant him peace, sent Safwan's paternal cousin, Wahb ibn Umayr
with the cloak of the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and
grant him peace, as a safe-conduct for Safwan ibn Umayya, and the
Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, called
him to Islam and asked for him to come to him and if he was pleased
with the matter to accept it. If not he would have a respite for two
months.
When Safwan came to the Messenger of Allah, may Allah
bless him and grant him peace, with his cloak, he called out to him
over the heads of the people, "Muhammad! Wahb ibn Umayr brought me
your cloak and claimed that you had summoned me to come to you and if
I was pleased with the matter, I should accept it and if not, you
would give me a respite for two months. "The Messenger of Allah, may
Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "Come down, Abu Wahb." He
said, "No, by Allah! I will not come down until you make it clear to
me." The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace,
said, "You have a respite of four months." The Messenger of Allah, may
Allah bless him and grant him peace, went out toward Hawazin at
Hunayn. He sent to Safwan ibn Umayya to borrow some equipment and arms
that he had. Safwan said, "Willingly or unwillingly?" He said,
"Willingly." Therefore he lent him the equipment and arms which he
had. Then Safwan went out with the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless
him and grant him peace, while he was still a kafir. He was present at
the battles of Hunayn and at-Ta'if while he was still a kafir and his
wife was a muslim. The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and
grant him peace, did not separate Safwan and his wife until he had
become muslim, and his wife was settled with him by that marriage.
Muwatta Malik Book 28, Hadith 48
that he asked `Aisha regarding the Verse: 'If you fear that you shall not be able to deal justly with the
orphans (4.3) She said, "O my nephew! This Verse refers to the orphan girl who is under the
guardianship of her guardian who likes her beauty and wealth and wishes to (marry her and) curtails
her Mahr. Such guardians have been forbidden to marry them unless they do justice by giving them
their full Mahr, and they have been ordered to marry other than them. The people asked for the verdict
of Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) after that, so Allah revealed: 'They ask your instruction concerning the women . . .
whom you desire to marry.' (4.127) So Allah revealed to them that if the orphan girl had beauty and
wealth, they desired to marry her and for her family status. They can only marry them if they give
them their full Mahr. And if they had no desire to marry them because of their lack of wealth and
beauty, they would leave them and marry other women. So, as they used to leave them, when they had
no interest, in them, they were forbidden to marry them when they had such interest, unless they
treated them justly and gave them their full Mahr Apostle said, 'If at all there is evil omen, it is in the
horse, the woman and the house." a lady is to be warded off. And the Statement of Allah: 'Truly,
among your wives and your children, there are enemies for you (i.e may stop you from the obedience
of Allah)' (64.14)
