Ibn `Abbas said to me, "Shall I show you a woman of the people of Paradise?" I said, "Yes." He said,
"This black lady came to the Prophet (ﷺ) and said, 'I get attacks of epilepsy and my body becomes
uncovered; please invoke Allah for me.' The Prophet (ﷺ) said (to her), 'If you wish, be patient and you will
have (enter) Paradise; and if you wish, I will invoke Allah to cure you.' She said, 'I will remain
patient,' and added, 'but I become uncovered, so please invoke Allah for me that I may not become
uncovered.' So he invoked Allah for her."
Narrated 'Ata:
That he had seen Um Zafar, the tall black lady, at (holding) the curtain of the Ka`ba.
Sahih al-Bukhari Book 75, Hadith 12
The Prophet (ﷺ) said "The most superior way of asking for forgiveness from Allah is: 'Allahumma anta
The Prophet (ﷺ) added. "If somebody recites it during the day
with firm faith in it, and dies on the same day before the evening, he will be from the people of
Paradise; and if somebody recites it at night with firm faith in it, and dies before the morning, he will
be from the people of Paradise."
Sahih al-Bukhari Book 80, Hadith 3
The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Angels keep on descending from and ascending to the Heaven in turn, some at
night and some by daytime, and all of them assemble together at the time of the Fajr and `Asr prayers.
Then those who have stayed with you over-night, ascent unto Allah Who asks them, and He knows
the answer better than they, "How have you left My slaves?" They reply, "We have left them praying
as we found them praying." If anyone of you says "Amin" (during the Prayer at the end of the
recitation of Surat-al-Faitiha), and the angels in Heaven say the same, and the two sayings coincide,
all his past sins will be forgiven."
Sahih al-Bukhari Book 59, Hadith 34
A man from Banu Abdullah ibn Ka'b brethren of Banu Qushayr (not Anas ibn Malik, the well-known Companion), said: A contingent from the cavalry of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) raided us. I reached (for he said went) to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) who was taking his meals. He said: Sit down, and take some from this meal of ours. I said: I am fasting, he said: Sit down, I shall tell you about prayer and fasting. Allah has remitted half the prayer to a traveller, and fasting to the traveller, the woman who is suckling an infant and the woman who is pregnant, I swear by Allah, he mentioned both (i.e. suckling and pregnant women) or one of them. I was grieved for not taking the food of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ).
Sunan Abi Dawud Book 14, Hadith 96
Yahya related to me from Malik from Hisham ibn Urwa from his
father from A'isha, the wife of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and
grant him peace, that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and
grant him peace, said, "Tell Abu Bakr to lead the people in prayer."
A'isha said, "Messenger of Allah, when Abu Bakr stands in your place
his voice does not reach the ears of the people because of his
weeping, so tell Umar to lead the people in prayer." He said, "Tell
Abu Bakr to lead the people in prayer." A'isha continued, "I told
Hafsa to tell him that when Abu Bakr stood in his place his voice did
not reach the ears of the people because of his weeping, and that he
should tell Umar to lead the people in prayer. Hafsa did so, and the
Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said,
'You are the companions of Yusuf! (referring to the women who cut
their hands when they saw the beauty of Yusuf). Tell Abu Bakr to lead
the people in prayer!' "
A'isha added that Hafsa said to her,
"I have never had anything good from you!"
