Who had taken part in the battle of Badr with Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) and had been amongst his companions
on the night of Al-`Aqaba Pledge: Allah's Messenger (ﷺ), surrounded by a group of his companions said,
"Come along and give me the pledge of allegiance that you will not worship anything besides Allah,
will not steal, will not commit illegal sexual intercourse will not kill your children, will not utter;
slander, invented by yourself, and will not disobey me if I order you to do something good. Whoever
among you will respect and fulfill this pledge, will be rewarded by Allah. And if one of you commits
any of these sins and is punished in this world then that will be his expiation for it, and if one of you
commits any of these sins and Allah screens his sin, then his matter, will rest with Allah: If He will,
He will punish him and if He will,. He will excuse him." So I gave the pledge of allegiance to him for
these conditions.
Sahih al-Bukhari Book 63, Hadith 117
I became a guarantor for a payment, and I came to Messenger of Allah (May peace be upon him). He said: Wait till I receive the sadaqah and I shall order it to be given to you. He then said : Begging, Qabisah, is allowable only to one of three classes: a man who has become a guarantor for a payment to whom begging is allowed till he gets it, after which he must stop (begging); a man who has been stricken by a calamity and it destroys his property to whom begging is allowed till he gets what will support life (or he said, what will provide a reasonable subsistence); and a man who has been smitten by poverty, about whom three intelligent members of his people confirm by saying: So and so has been smitten by poverty, to such a person begging is allowed till be gets what will support life (or he said, what will provide a reasonable subsistence), after which he must stop (begging). Any other reason for begging, Qabisah, is forbidden, and one who engages in such consumes it as a thing which is forbidden.
Sunan Abi Dawud Book 9, Hadith 85
a Hadith of Abu Hurairah, from the Prophet (ﷺ), regarding the 'barrier (18:93).' "They excavated each day, until when they are just about to penetrate it, their leader says: 'Go back so that you can penetrate it tomorrow!'" He said: "But Allah makes it return just as it was, until their appointed time, when Allah ordains to send them upon the people, and their leader says: 'Go back so you can penetrate it tomorrow, if Allah wills.' So he makes this exception." He said: "So they return, and find it just as it was when they left it. Then they penetrate it, and are released upon the people drinking up the water, and the people flee from them. They shoot their arrows into the heavens so they returned dyed with blood, and they say - crudely and arrogantly - 'We vanquished those in the earth, let us dominate the inhabitants of the heavens.' Then Allah sends Naghaf upon them, attaching to the nape of their necks, destroying them." He said: "By the One in Whose Hand is the soul of Muhammad! The beasts of the earth will become very fat and bloated with milk from their flesh."
Jami` at-Tirmidhi Book 47, Hadith 205
While the Prophet (ﷺ) was in a funeral procession. he picked up something and started scraping the
ground with it, and said, "There is none among you but has his place written for him either in the Hell
Fire or in Paradise." They said, "O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)! Shall we not depend upon what has been written
for us and give up deeds? He said, "Carry on doing (good) deeds, for everybody will find easy to do
such deeds as will lead him to his destined place for which he has been created. So he who is destined
to be among the happy (in the Hereafter), will find it easy to do the deeds characteristic of such
people, while he who is destined to be among the miserable ones, will find it easy to do the deeds
characteristic of such people." Then he recited:
'As for him who gives (in charity) and fears Allah, and believes in the best....' (92.5-10)
