They all transgressed in the land.

All of them committed excesses in their lands

They all transgressed beyond bounds in the lands,

Who all waxed exorbitant in the cities

Who terrorised the region

They are those who lived egocentrically in the land and transgressed,

Those who transgressed in the cities.

all of whom were tyrants in their lands

(All of) these rebelled (and transgressed all bounds) in the lands (where they lived)

All these were outrageous in the land

They were tyrants in the lan

Who did transgress beyond bounds in the lands (in the disobedience of Allah)

who were (all) so arrogant in the land

Who all committed excesses in the lands

They sinned beyond boundaries in the lands.

who transgressed in the countries of the worl

Who exceeded limits in the cities

who rebelled in the cities?

Who committed transgression in the lands

Those who tyrannized/exceeded the limit in the countries/cities

[It was they] who transgressed all bounds of equity all over their lands

(They) who tyrannized in the lands

Who (all) were rebellious (to Allah) in these lands

led rebellious lives

Those who tyrannized in the towns.

They all played God in the land, towns and cities

Who committed inordinacy in the cities

Who committed excesses in the cities

These (people) exceeded beyond limits in the lands

who were (all) so arrogant in the land

All of them transgressed within their lands.

Those who were immoderate in the lands,
