Quran 7 : 95

then We gave them in the place of evil good, till they multiplied, and said, 'Hardship and happiness visited our fathers.' So We seized them suddenly, unawares

Then, We replaced their hardship with ease until they multiplied and said, “Our ancestors, too, experienced hardship and ease.” Suddenly, We seized them unawares.

Then We replaced the harm with good, until they recovered and said: hardship and ease previously afflicted our fathers, then We took them suddenly without them realising it.

Then changed We the evil plight for good till they grew affluent and said: Tribulation and distress did touch our fathers. Then We seized them unawares, when they perceived not

Then We changed evil for good, until they multiplied and said: 'Our fathers were indeed touched by misfortune and adversity. ' So We seized them suddenly while they were unaware

and then We changed their hardship into ease until they grew affluent and said, Our fathers had also experienced adversity and prosperity, then We seized them suddenly, unawares

Then We replaced the bad with good, until they neglected and said: "Our fathers were touched by both hardship and prosperity." We then take them suddenly, while they are unaware.

Then We changed in place of evil, good, until they increased and said, 'Verily, hardship and ease touched our fathers;' then We seized them suddenly while they did not perceive. -

Then We changed the evil for the good, till they became affluent and said: Distress and happiness did indeed touch our fathers. So We took them by surprise while they perceived not

We then changed the bad condition to good until they grew in prosperity and said, "Distress and ease did befall our fathers." Then, all of a sudden, We caught them unawares

Then We turned evil into good so that they were thriving, and said: 'Both hardship and happiness befell our ancestors." So We seized them suddenly while they did not even notice it.

Then We replaced evil [circumstances] with good, till they multiplied and said, “Hardship and ease visited our fathers [as well].” Then We seized them suddenly, while they were unaware

and then did we give them, in exchange for evil, good, until they increased and said, 'Distress and joy both touched our fathers;' then we overtook them suddenly ere they could perceive.

Thereafter, We substituted good in place of evil until they increased, and said, .Hardship and prosperity came to our fathers (too). Then We seized them suddenly while they were not aware

Then We gave them good in the place of evil until they became many and said: Distress and happiness did indeed befall our fathers. Then We took them by surprise while they did not perceive

But when We changed hardship to ease, and they rose and prospered, (they forgot Our favours) and said: "Our ancestors had also known suffering and joy." So We caught them unawares

Then We turned evil into good so that they were thriving, and said: ´Both hardship and happiness befell our ancestors." So We seized them suddenly while they did not even notice it.

Then We changed the place of evil with good until they became numerous and said, "no doubt, sufferings and comforts visited our fathers," then We seized them suddenly while they were unmindful.

And thereafter We replaced the ill with good until they became numerous and they said, “Indeed adversity and ease once touched our fathers.” Then We seized them suddenly while they were not aware.

Then We changed adversity into ease until they throve and said: ´Our forefathers had also seen both adversity and prosperity.´ So We suddenly seized them without their even perceiving it

and then We changed their hardship into prosperity, until they multiplied. But then they said, ‘Hardship and affluence also befell our forefathers,’ and so We took them suddenly, unawares

Then We changed (in) place (of) the bad the good until they increased and said Verily (had) touched our forefathers the adversity and the ease So We seized them suddenly while they (did) not perceive

Then We changed adversity to good fortune, so that when they had multiplied they said: ‘Our fathers also had their sorrows and their joys.‘ And in their heedlessness We suddenly smote them

Then changed we their ill for good, until they waxed wealthy, and said, "Of old did troubles and blessings befall our fathers:" therefore did we seize upon them suddenly when they were unaware

Then We changed the evil for good, until (the good became) surplus and they said, "(Such) harm and happiness did afflict our forefathers (too)," then We seized them suddenly while they did not perceive.

Then We changed the misfortune into prosperity to the extent that they became numerous and said, "Indeed grief and comfort did reach our ancestors" - so We seized them suddenly in their neglect

Thereafter We substituted ease in place of adversity until they abounded and said: even Thus tribulation and prosperity touched our fathers. Then We laid hold of them of a sudden, while they perceived not

Then We substituted prosperity in place of hardship. Until they increased in number, and said, 'Adversity and prosperity has touched our ancestors.' Then We seized them suddenly, while they were unaware

Then We replaced hardship with comfort until they (thrived and) ignored (Us) and they said: “Indeed distress and prosperity happened to our fathers (as well).” So, We suddenly took them without them realizing it.

Then We gave them good in exchange for evil until they increased in number and said, ´Our forefathers too underwent both hardship and ease.´ Then We seized them suddenly when they were not expecting it.

Again, We substituted in place of evil deeds, benevolence, until they exceeded in number and they said: Surely, our fathers were touched by tribulation and gladness. Then, We took them suddenly while they are not aware.

The We changed their evil condition to good until they grew in affluence and numbers and said, 'Suffering and happiness betided our fathers also, what if they befell us.' Then We seized them suddenly, while they perceive not

Then We changed the ill [conditions] to good until they multiplied [in numbers] and said, ‘Adversity and ease befell our fathers [too].’ Then We seized them suddenly while they were unaware

We then changed their suffering into prosperity until they grew and multiplied and claimed, “Our fathers were touched by suffering and affluence.” Behold, We called them to account all of a sudden without their suspecting it.

Then We would replace the evil with good until they overtook their predecessors and, without a thought for Allah, said, “Hardship and prosperity affected our forefathers too.” Suddenly, We would take them unaware

Then We substituted in place of the bad deed, the excellence deed. Until they were healed, grew and said, “Our parents already were touched with the prosperity and the bane.” So, We took them unexpectedly, while they did not feel.

Then We changed their suffering into prosperity, until they grew and multiplied, and began to say, “Our parents too were touched by adversity and prosperity.” Behold, We called them to account all of a sudden, while they realized it not

Then We changed their adversity to prosperity until they flourished and argued ˹falsely˺, “Our forefathers ˹too˺ had been visited by adversity and prosperity.” So We seized them by surprise, while they were unaware.

We then transformed their hardship into prosperity, so that they were able to thrive but then they said [to themselves], "Misfortune and hardship befell our forefathers as well." Then We seized them suddenly when they were not expecting it.

We then replaced their misfortune with well-being until they were relieved and began saying, "Our fathers had also experienced good and bad days." Suddenly, We struck them (with torment) while they were all unaware (of what was happening)

Then We changed in place of the evil with the good, until they increased (in number and in wealth), and said: ‘Surely, our forefathers were touched with calamity and affluence (prosperity).” So We seized them suddenly while they did not perceive it.

Then We exchanged in place of the bad [condition], good, until they increased [and prospered] and said, "Our fathers [also] were touched with hardship and ease." So We seized them suddenly while they did not perceive

And then did We exchanged good for evil (suffering for prosperity), until they grew (in strength and prosperity) and said, "Our fathers, too, were touched by both suffering and joy." Then We overtook them suddenly ere they realized their peril

Then we substituted peace and prosperity in place of that hardship. But alas, they turned heedless and said, "It was our parents who experienced that hardship before prosperity." Consequently, we punished them suddenly when they least expected.

Then We changed their suffering into prosperity, until they grew and multiplied, and began to say: "Our fathers (too) were touched by suffering and affluence" ... Behold! We called them to account of a sudden, while they realised not (their peril)

Then We changed their suffering into success and joy, until they grew and multiplied, and began to say: "Our fathers (too) had suffering and success"— Look! We called them to account all of a sudden, when they were not aware (of the situation)

Then We changed the evil for the good, until they increased in number and in wealth, and said: "Our fathers were touched with evil (loss of health and calamities) and with good (prosperity, etc.)." So We seized them of a sudden while they were unaware

Then We changed their fortune from bad to good, till they grew affluent. They (forgot Our favors and) said, "Even our forefathers had gone through (the cycle of) suffering and prosperity!" Thereupon, We took them to task suddenly, and they did not realize

Then changed we the evil condition to good until they grew affluent and began to say, “Our fathers (too) had been touched by adversity and prosperity.” Thus, We seized them quickly and unexpectedly, while they were not aware of (the perils of arrogance & disbelief).

Then We exchanged their hardship with good... When they reached comfort (of possessions and offspring) and prospered, they said, “Our fathers were also touched by hardship and ease (so there is no lesson in this for us).” So We seized them suddenly before they knew it!

then We transformed the affliction into ease of life, so that they throve and said [to themselves], "Misfortune and hardship befell our forefathers as well -whereupon We took them to task, all of a sudden, without their being aware [of what was coming]

Thereafter We exchanged in place of an odious deed a fair (reward), (i.e., replaced adversity by good fortune) till they lived in luxury and said, "Tribulation and easiness already touched our fathers." So We took them (away) suddenly, (while) they were not aware

Then I changed their situation so that they prosper enough [to rebel and in reply to My warnings] say: "Our fathers also went through hardship and prosperity." I subjected all [such rebellious people] to a sudden catastrophe while they were unaware

Then We changed their tribulation into prosperity, until they grew affluent and began to say: “Our fathers (too) had been touched by adversity and prosperity.” So We seized them quickly and unexpectedly while they were not aware of (the perils of arrogance & spiritual darkness).

We then changed (their) misfortune with good fortune till they made (an all-embracing) progress. But (out of ingratitude) they said: ‘Our ancestors too have been living through pain and pleasure (the same way).’ So We caught them unawares on this ingratitude and they did not even notice (it)

Then We brought comfort (for them) in place of (their) distress until they grew in affluence, (number and excess) and said, `Surely, tribulations and prosperity visited our fathers (also, so it is a normal course of events).' So We seized them unawares while they perceived not (the peril they were in)

Then We exchanged/substituted (in) place/position (of) the sin/crime the good/goodness, until they cure/forgave/pardoned, and they said: "The calamity/disastrous distress and the prosperity had touched our fathers." So We took/punished them suddenly/unexpectedly, and (while) they are not feeling/knowing/sensing

Then We changed their plight for good till they became affluent. Then they said, "(Hardships and prosperity are just a matter of chance). Even our parents and forefathers have gone through these ups and downs." Our Requital seized them when they least expected it. (To them it appeared sudden, but unjust systems insidiously move towards the consequences)

Then (when inspite of this they did not reform themselves) We set luxury in place of difficulty until every thing went forth much beyond their needs and they said: “Surely the suffering and luxury touched our fathers too (so there remains no need to take a turn to the Book of Allah).” Then We seized them without any additional warning in a manner they will perceive not.”

Then (after this phase of trial and training) We changed the affliction into good (ease of life) until they increased (in numbers and wealth, and indulged in comforts) and said (without taking any lesson from it): "Sometimes distress and sometimes happiness visited our forefathers (whereas we are living an easy life". So We seized them all of a sudden without their being aware (of what was coming)
