Quran 65 : 8

So, it tasted the bad consequence of its matter, and its matter’s consequence was a loss.

How many a town has disobeyed its Lord and His Messenger! For them Our questioning was strict and Our punishment severe

And how many towns disobeyed the command of their Lord, so We subjected them to a severe reckoning and punished them severely?

Many a town that insolently opposed the command of its Lord and His messengers We have brought sternly to account: We punished them severel

How many cities have rebelled against its Lord and His messengers’ command? We sternly brought them to account, and severely punished them.

Many cities rebelled against the command of their Lord and His messengers, so We held them strictly accountable and severely punished them.

How many a town defied the command of its Lord and His apostles, then We called it to a severe account and punished it with a dire punishment

How many a town rebelled against the commands of its Lord and His messengers and We called them sternly to account and punished them severely

How many habitations rebelled against their Lord's command and His apostles; but We took them to severe task, and punished them with the harshest punishment

How many communities have rebelled against the commandments of their Lord and His apostles! Stern was Our reckoning with them, and harrowing was Our scourge

And how many a city rebelled against the Commandments of its Lord and His Messengers then We took a severe account from it, and gave it a horrible punishment

How many cities spurned their Lord´s command and His Messengers! And so We called them harshly to account and punished them with a terrible punishment.

Many a town rebelled against the command of its Lord and His messengers. Thus, We called them to account severely, and We punished them a terrible punishment.

And how many a city was insolent toward the command of its Lord and His messengers, so We took it to severe account and punished it with a terrible punishment

And how many a community revolted against the ordinance of its Lord and His messengers, and We called it to a stern account and punished it with dire punishment

How many a town defied the command of its Lord and His Messengers, so we made a reckoning, a severe reckoning and We punished it with a horrible punishment.

And how many towns disobeyed its Lord's commandment and His messengers, then We called it into account, a severe reckoning, and We punished it, an awful punishment.

How many a city has turned away from the bidding of its Lord and His apostles; and we called them to a severe account, and we tormented them with an unheard-of torment

How many a village has turned in its pride against the Order of their Lord and His Messengers! We made it a stern reckoning, and punished it with a horrible punishment

And how many a town insolently defied the Command of its Lord and His messengers, such that We called it to a severe reckoning and punished it with a terrible punishment

So many (people of) townships rebelled against the command of their Lord and His Messengers so that We reckoned with them sternly and punished them with a dire punishment

And how many a town which rebelled against the commandment of its Lord and His messengers, so We called it to severe account and We chastised it with a stern chastisement

And how many of a town rebelled against (the) Command (of) its Lord and His Messengers so We took it to account an account severe and We punished it a punishment terrible

And how many a community rebelled against the commandment of its Lord and His Messengers, so We called it to account severely and We chastised it with a stern chastisement

How many towns rebelled against the commandment of their Lord and His Messengers. Then We called them to a stern accounting, and subjected them to a harrowing chastisement

And how many a city has turned away from the command of its Lord and His messengers; So We called it to a severe account, and We punished it with an unheard-of punishment.

Many a community rebelled against the commands of its Lord and against His messengers. Consequently, we held them strictly accountable, and requited them a terrible requital.

And how many a town which rebelled against the commandment of its Lord and His messengers, so We called it to account severely and We chastised it (with) a stern chastisement

And how many a city trespassed the commandment of its Lord and His apostles! Wherefore We reckoned with them a stern reckoning, and We tormented them With a torment unheard of

So many inhabitants revolted against the command of their Lord and His Messengers. Therefore, We called them to a stern account and chastised them with a dreadful punishment.

And many a town existed that rebelled against the command of its Lord and His Noble Messengers, so We took a severe account from it - and struck them with a dreadful punishment

How many towns have acted insolently towards both their Lord's and His messengers' command, so We summoned them to a stern accounting and punished them with unheard-of torment.

How many cities have turned aside from the command of their Lord and his apostles? Wherefore We brought them to a severe account; and We chastised them with a grievous chastisement

There have been many communities who had rebelled against the laws of their Lord relayed to them by God’s Messengers. I (God) dealt with them accordingly and severely punished them

How many cities have turned aside from the command of their Lord and of his apostles! Therefore did we reckon with them in a severe reckoning, and chastised them with a stern chastisement

How many towns have acted insolently towards both their Lord´s and His messengers´ command, so We summoned them to a stern accounting and punished them with unheard-of torment.

And how many a town revolted against the commandment of its Fosterer and His messengers, so We called it to account (that too) a severe account and We punished it (with) a severe punishment.

And how many a community has rebelled against the Command of its Lord and His Messengers! Hence, We called each to account with a stern accounting and punished it with an exemplary punishment

How many populations that insolently opposed the Command of their Lord and of His messengers, did We not then call to account,- to severe account?- and We imposed on them an exemplary Punishment

And how many a township rebelled against the command of its Lord, and against His messengers, so We called them to a severe account, and punished them with a punishment that was unimagined by them

And (similarly) (many) a town there has been that rebelled against the Command of its Lord and His Messengers, so We reckoned with it a strict reckoning, and tormented it a highly maleficent torment

How many communities rebelled against the command of their Lord and of His messengers so that We called each to stern accountability? We imposed on (each rebellious community) exemplary punishment.

How many were the peoples who insolently opposed the command of their Lord and of His messengers? Did We not then call them to account, to severe account? And We imposed on them an exemplary punishment

Many townships revolted against the Command of their Lord and His Messengers. We called them to a severe account (punishment in worldly life) and We shall punish them with a horrible punishment (Hereafter).

And how many towns (populations) that proudly opposed the command of their Lord and of His messengers; And have We called (them) to account— To severe account? And We imposed on them a strict punishment

And how many a township had transgressed against the commandment of their Lord and His messengers so We took them to account with a thorough reckoning and We punished them with a punishment most objectionable.

And how many a city rebelled against the ordainment of its Nourisher-Sustainer and His Messengers — so We put it to accountability, a most severe accountability and We punished it in a horrible punishment

˹Imagine˺ how many societies rebelled against the commandments of their Lord and His messengers, so We called each ˹society˺ to a severe account and subjected them to a horrible punishment.

So many communities (in the past) have been insolent and arrogant towards the commandments of their Lord, and His messengers. So, very harshly We called them to account. We inflicted upon them a severe punishment

And how many from a village/urban city (that) disobeyed from its Lord's order/command and His messengers, so We counted/calculated (with) it (a) strong (severe) account/calculation, and We tortured it (an) awful/severe torture

AND HOW MANY a community has turned with disdain from the commandment of its Sustainer and His apostles! -whereupon We callled them all to account with an accounting severe, and caused them to suffer with a suffering unnameable

And many a town (population) revolted against the Command of its Lord and His Messengers, and We called it to a severe account (i.e. torment in this worldly life), and shall punish it with a horrible torment (in Hell, in the Hereafter)

How many a township has turned in arrogance from the commandment of its Lord and His Messengers, and so We called them to account with a severe reckoning (by exposing them to awesome calamities), and punished them with a dire punishment

And how many towns there were (the inhabitants of) which disobeyed and revolted against the command of their Lord and His Messengers! So We called them to account in the shape of fierce accountability, and seized them with such a severe torment as was never seen or even heard of
