Did the news not come to you of those who had rejected before? They had tasted the consequences of their decision and they incurred a painful retribution.

[Disbelievers], have you not heard about those who disbelieved before you? They tasted the evil consequences of their conduct, and a painful torment awaits them

Has not the news reached you of those who disbelieved before? So they tasted the evil result of their disbelief, and there will be a painful punishment (in the Hereafter) for them.

Hath not the tidings reached you of those who disbelieved aforetime, and so tasted the evil consequence of their affair, and theirs will be a torment afflictive

Has not the account of those who disbelieved before come to you, who tasted the torment of their action, and for whom is grievous punishment

Did you not receive the news of those (the people who came) before you who denied the knowledge of the reality and tasted its consequence? There is severe suffering for them.

Has not the news come to you of those who disbelieved before? And they tasted the evil consequences of their action; And for them is the painful torment.

Has the news not reached you of those who were kafir before and tasted the evil consequences of what they did? They will have a painful punishment.

Have there not come to you the illustrative histories of those who disbelieved before, and therefore tasted the evil results of their deeds? And (in the Hereafter) there is for them a painful punishment

Has there not come to you the account of those who were faithless before? They tasted the evil consequences of their conduct, and there is a painful punishment for them

(Disbelievers!) have you had no news of those who disbelieved in the past? They suffered the evil consequences of their conduct and for them is decreed a woeful punishment

Has there not come to you the tidings of those that disbelieved before, then tasted the mischief of their action, and there yet awaits them a painful chastisement

Has the news of those who disbelieved in the past not come to you? They tasted the bad result of their affair, and they will have a painful punishment.

Have you not heard of what happened to those people before you who denied their Lord? They were subject to a miserable end; but their misery is not finished yet as a terrible punishment is yet waiting for them

Has not the story reached you, of those who rejected faith? So they tasted the painful result of their conduct, and they had a terrible penalty

Has not come to you (the) news (of) those who disbelieved from before So they tasted (the bad) consequence (of) their affair and for them (is) a punishment painful

Has not the news reached you of those who disbelieved aforetime? So they tasted the evil result of their affair; and for them (awaits) a painful punishment

Approaches you not the tiding of those who were ungrateful before? They experienced the mischief of their affair and there is a painful punishment for them.

Has the news not reached you of those who disbelieved before you and tasted the punishment of their work (in the world), and there is a grievous torment for them (in the Hereafter as well)

Have you not heard the tales of those who denied earlier? They tasted the evil consequences of their conduct. There is, (in addition), a painful punishment (in store) for them

Has there not come to you the story of those who misbelieved before, and tasted the evil result of their affair, and for them was grievous woe

Did not the news of those who disbelieved before you reach you? So they tasted the evil outcome of their deeds, and for them is a painful punishment

Have not the news of those who disbelieved before come to you? So they tasted the evil consequence of their affair and for them there is a painful punishment.

Have ye not been acquainted with the story of those who disbelieved heretofore, and tasted the evil consequence of their behaviour? And for them is prepared, in the life to come, a tormenting punishment

Has there not come to you the story of those who disbelieved in olden times, then tasted the evil consequences of their conduct, and they had a painful doom

Have you not heard the news of those before you who disbelieved? They tasted the mischief of their action, and for them is a painful punishment

Has not the news reached you of those who disbelieved aforetime? And so they tasted the evil result of their disbelief, and theirs will be a painful torment

Has not news come to you (all) about those who have disbelieved previously? They tasted the effect of their action and [experienced] painful torment.

Hath not the story reached you of those who disbelieved of yore, and therefore tasted the evil consequences of their doings? And a sore punishment doth await them

Have you not heard the story of those who previously rejected faith? They tasted the evil result of their conduct, and they had a horrid punishment.

Has the news of the unbelievers of the past not reached you? (They disbelieved) and then tasted its evil consequence. A grievous chastisement awaits them

Has there not come to you the story of those who disbelieved before, then tasted the evil consequences of their conduct, and they had a painful chastisement

Has not the news come to you of those who did not believe before (you)? So they tasted the evil result of their affair and for them there is a painful punishment.

Has not the history of those who suppressed the Truth in the past, and then tasted the consequences of their conduct, reached you? And a painful punishment is in store for them

Did not news/information come to you (of) those who disbelieved from before? So they tasted/experienced their matter's/affair's severity/bad consequences , and for them (is) a painful torture

HAVE THE STORIES of those who, in earlier times, refused to acknowledge the truth never yet come within your ken? [They denied it -] and so they had to taste the evil outcome of their own doings, with [more] grievous suffering awaiting them [in the life to come]

Has there not come up to you the tidings of the ones who disbelieved earlier, so they tasted the pernicious result of their Command; (i.e., the pernicious result of disobeying the Command of Allah to them) and they will have a painful torment

Hath not the story reached you of those who disbelieved of old and so did taste the ill-effects of their conduct, and theirs will be a painful doom

Have you not received the news about the disbelievers living before you who suffered the consequences of their deeds and will suffer a painful torment

Did the news of those people not come to you who disbelieved earlier, and tasted (in this world) the evil consequence of their conduct, and for them (in the Hereafter) there is a painful punishment

Has there not come to you the news of those who refused to accept Allâh (into their life) aforetime? Thus, they tasted the horrific consequence of their denial. And they will be subjected to a painful punishment (in the ‘Hereafter’).

Has there not come to you the stories of those who persistently refused to yield to the Truth aforetime? So they tasted the horrific consequences of their iniquitous deeds. And they will be subjected to a painful punishment (in the Hereafter):

Hasn’t the news of the disbelievers of the past reached you? They tasted the consequences of their deeds, and for them is a painful punishment.

Have the stories of those who disbelieved before not reached you ˹pagans˺? They tasted the evil consequences of their doings, and they will suffer a painful punishment.

Did not the information of those who rejected (the truth) before reach you, so they tasted the evil outcome of their affairs and theirs is a painful punishment.

Have you not heard of those who disbelieved before you? They tasted the baleful consequences of their unbelief, and grievous punishment is yet in store for them

Have you noted those who disbelieved in the past, then suffered the consequences of their decision? They incurred a painful retribution.

Has the news not reached you, of those who rejected the truth before you? They tasted the ill consequences of their conduct, and they will have a painful punishment.

Has there not come to you the news of those who disbelieved before? So, they tasted the dreadfulness of their matter, and for them it was a painful torment.

Has not the news reached you of those who denied the Truth in the earlier times, and so they did taste the calamity for their (wrong) decisions? And for them was a painful chastisement

Has there not come to you the story of those who disbelieved before, then tasted the evil result of their conduct, and they had a painful punishment

Has there not come to you the account of those who disbelieved before? They tasted the evil consequences of their conduct, and for them is decreed painful punishment

Has the story not reached you, of the disbelievers before you? And so they tasted the evil result of their conduct; And they had a painful penalty

Has not news come to you (all) about those who have disbelieved previously? They tasted the effect of their action and [experienced] painful torment.

Didn’t the stories of those who disbelieved before you reach you? They tasted the affliction of their actions; for them awaits a painful punishment.

Has the news not reached you, of those who disbelieved before? They tasted the ill consequences of their conduct, and a painful torment awaits them

Has not the account come to you of those who disbelieved aforetime such that they tasted the evil consequences of their affair, and theirs shall be a painful punishment

Has there not come to you the story of those who disbelieved before, and tasted the evil result of their affair, and for them was painful punishment?

Has there not come to you the news of those who disbelieved before? So they tasted the bad consequence of their affair, and they will have a painful punishment

Have you not heard about those who denied the truth before you and tasted the evil consequences of their conduct? They will have a painful punishment
