Those who are polytheists will say: "If God wished, we would not have set up partners, nor would have our fathers, nor would we have made anything unlawful." Those before them lied in the same way, until they tasted Our might. Say: "Do you have any knowledge to bring out to us? You only follow conjecture, you only guess."

The idolaters will say, ‘If God had willed, we would not have ascribed partners to Him- nor would our fathers- or have declared anything forbidden.’ In the same way, those before them continually denied [the truth] until they tasted Our punishment. Say, ‘Have you any knowledge that you can show us? You follow only supposition and tell only lies.’

Those who made partners with Allah will say: “If Allah had willed, we would have made neither partner with Him, nor would our forefathers, nor we would have prohibited anything (against Him).” Likewise those who were before them rejected until they tasted Our punishment. Say: “Is there any knowledge (evidence) with you which you can provide to us? You follow nothing but guess and you are not but guessing.”

Anon will those who associate had God willed, we would not say: have associated, nor our fathers; neither could we have forbidden aught. Even so belied those before them, until they tasted Our wrath. Say thou: is there with you any authority, that ye may bring unto us? ye but follow your fancy, and only conjecture

But the idolaters say: "If God had so willed we would not have associated (others with Him), nor would have our fathers, nor would we have forbidden any thing." So had others denied before them, and had to taste Our punishment in the end. Ask them: "Have you any knowledge? Then display it. You follow nothing but conjecture, and are nothing but liars."

The dualists will say, “Had Allah willed, neither us nor our fathers would have been dualists... and we would not have prohibited anything”... Likewise, those before them also denied, until they tasted Our punishment. Say, “Do you have a knowledge you can explain to us? You follow only assumption... You talk nonsense based on presumptions alone.”

Now the polytheists say, 'if Allah had willed, we would not have committed polytheism, neither our fore-fathers, nor had We forbidden anything.' In the same manner belied those who were before them until they tasted Our torment. Say you, 'Have you any knowledge that you bring it forth to us? You are only behind your conjecture and without nothing you estimate.

Those who associate others with Allah will say, ´If Allah had willed we would not have associated anything with Him, nor would our fathers; nor would we have made anything haram.´ In the same way the people before them also lied until they felt Our violent force. Say: ´Do you have some knowledge you can produce for us? You are following nothing but conjecture. You are only guessing.´

Those who persist in associating partners with God will say: "Had God willed, neither we nor our forefathers would have associated partners with Him, nor would we have declared anything (which God has made lawful) unlawful." Even so did those who lived before them deny (their Prophets with similar false excuses) until they tasted Our mighty punishment. Say (to them): "Do you have any sound, authoritative knowledge (to support your claim)? (If you have) then bring it out for us! In fact you follow only conjecture, and you yourselves are only making false surmises (you pronounce judgments and act only according to your fancies, interests and personal value judgments)."

The polytheists will say, ‘Had Allah wished we would not have ascribed any partner [to Him], nor our fathers, nor would we have forbidden anything.’ Those who were before them had denied likewise until they tasted Our punishment. Say, ‘Do you have any [revealed] knowledge that you can produce before us? You follow nothing but conjectures, and you do nothing but surmise.’

Now those who associate partners (with Allah) say, `If Allah had (so) willed we would not have associated partners (with Him), nor would have our forefathers, nor would we have made anything unlawful (of our own);' just as (they deny you) their predecessors cried lies (to their apostles of God) until they suffered Our punishment. Say, `Have you any knowledge (about it)? Then present it before us. You follow naught but mere conjectures, and you do nothing but tell lies.

The idolaters will say, 'Had God willed, we would not have been idolaters, neither our fathers, nor would we have forbidden aught.' Even so the people before them cried lies until they tasted Our might. Say: 'Have you any knowledge, for you to bring forth for us? You follow only surmise, merely conjecturing.

Those who have associated (any partner with God) are going to say: “If God wanted, we and our fathers would not have associated (partners with Him), and we would not have forbidden anything.” That is how those before them lied until they tasted Our fury. Say: “Is there any knowledge with you? Bring it out for us, you follow nothing but speculation and you only guess.”

Now the idol worshippers will say: "Had God willed, neither we nor our forefathers would have worshipped other than God nor would we declared unlawful the things which are made lawful by God [The funny thing is, by saying so, they admit that they are wrong and then they blame God for it!]" People before them had rejected the truth by recourse to such absurd excuses until they tasted the Lord's punishment. Say: "Do you have any proof to support your theory? The fact of the matter is, you are following nothing but a bunch of false assumptions that you have fabricated."

Those who give partners to God will say, “If God had wished, we would not have given partners to Him, nor would our fathers, nor should we have had any taboos,” as did their fathers argue falsely, until they tasted Our punishment. Say, “Have you any proof? If so, bring it before us. You follow nothing but speculation. You do nothing but lie.

Will say those who associate partners (with Allah) If Had willed Allah not we (would) have associated partners (with Allah) and not our forefathers and not we (would) have forbidden [of] anything Likewise denied those who (were from) before them until they tasted Our wrath Say Is with you [of] any knowledge then produce it for us Not you follow except the assumption and not you (do) but guess

Soon will say those who have intermingled partners (in the Authority of Allah): “If Allah had willed we would not have indulged in shirk and nor our fore-fathers, and we (through our man-written books) would not have declared forbidden anything (in addition to the genuine prohibitions listed in Al-Kitab).” Likewise belied those who were before them, till they tasted Our wrath. Say: “Is (there) with you (any thing) out of knowledge then produce it before us? You follow nothing except conjecture. And you do nothing but indulge in mythology and concoctions.

Those who ascribed partners with God will say: If God willed, neither would we have ascribed partners with God, nor our fathers, nor would we have forbidden anything. Thus, denied those who were before them until they experienced Our might. Say: Is there any knowledge with you that you bring out to us? You follow not but opinion and, then, you only guess.

Those who associate partners with Allah will soon say: ‘Had Allah so willed, neither we nor our fathers would have committed polytheism; nor would we have declared anything forbidden (without authority).’ In like manner, the people before them also belied until they tasted Our torment. Say: ‘Do you have any (authentic) knowledge which you may bring forth for us? (If so, then present it).’ You (abandoning knowledge of certitude) follow only assumptions and speculations and tell sheer lies (based on guesswork).

Those who set up partners (to worship) besides Allah will surely say, "Had Allah so willed we and our forefathers could neither have set up partners with Allah, nor prohibited anything (against His will)." People prior to them had disbelieved in that same manner, right until they tasted Our torment. Say, "If you have any specific knowledge then bring it out and show us. You merely pursue your presumptions! You just guess and speculate!"

Those who associate others with God will say, 'Had God pleased, we had not so associated, nor our fathers; nor should we have forbidden aught.' Thus did they give the lie to those who came before them, until they tasted of our violence! Say, 'Have ye any knowledge? if so, bring it forth to us: ye only follow suspicion, and ye do but conjecture.

The polytheists will now say, “Had Allah willed, we would not have ascribed partners (to Him) nor would have our forefathers, nor would we have forbidden anything”; similarly those before them had denied, till the time they tasted Our punishment; say, “Do you have any knowledge so you can offer it to us? You follow only assumptions and only make guesses.”

They will say, those who ascribe partners to Him, “If Allah so willed, we would not have ascribed partners to Him nor would our fathers have nor had we made anything unlawful.” Thus belied the people who were before them until they came to taste Our fury. Say, “Is there any knowledge with you so that you can bring it out for us? You are following nothing but whims and you do nothing but invent lies.”

The idolaters will say, if God had pleased, we had not been guilty of idolatry, neither our fathers; and pretend that We have not forbidden them any thing. Thus did they who were before them accuse the prophets of imposture, until they tasted our severe punishment. Say, is there with you any certain knowledge of what ye alledge, that ye may produce it unto us? Ye follow only a false imagination; and ye only utter lies

Those who associate partners with Allah will say, "Had Allah pleased, we would not associated partners (with Him), nor our fathers; nor should we have forbidden aught." Thus did they give the lie to those who came before them, until they tasted

The idolaters will say: 'Had Allah willed, neither we nor our fathers would have associated (idols), nor would we have forbidden anything. As such, those who have gone before them belied until they tasted Our Might. Say: 'Have you any knowledge you can bring forth to us? You follow nothing but guessing and you are only speakers of conjecture.

Those who took partners (in worship) with Allah will say: "If Allah had willed, we would not have taken partners (in worship) with Him, nor would our fathers, and we would not have forbidden anything (against His Will)." Likewise belied those who were before them, (they argued falsely with Allahs Messengers), till they tasted of Our Wrath. Say: "Have you any knowledge (proof) that you can produce before us? Verily, you follow nothing but guess and you do nothing but lie."

Those who associate [others in their worship of Allah (God)) will say: 'If Allah (God) had so wished, neither we nor our forefathers would have associated [anything with Him] nor have forbidden anything." Even so did those before them reject [Us] until they tasted Our might. SAY: "Have you (all) any knowledge? Then bring it here for us! Why, you only follow conjecture; you are merely guessing!"

They who add gods to God will say, "If God had pleased, neither we nor our fathers had given him companions, nor should we have interdicted anything." Thus did they who flourished before them charge with imposture, until they had tasted our severity! SAY: Have ye any knowledge that ye can produce to us? Verily, ye follow only a conceit: ye utter only lies

The idolaters will say, “If Allah had wanted, we could not have assigned partners to Him. Neither would our fathers. We would not have outlawed anything.” Their ancestors told the same kind of lies until they experienced Our wrath. Say, “Do you have any real knowledge? If so, produce it for us. You don’t have anything but conjecture. You only guess.”

Those who associate others with Allah in His divinity will now surely say: ´Had Allah willed, neither we nor our forefathers would have associated others with Allah in His divinity, nor would we have declared anything (which Allah did not forbid) as forbidden.´ Even so those who had lived before them gave the lie (to the Truth) until they tasted Our chastisement. Tell them: ´Have you any sure knowledge that you can produce before us? In fact you are only following idle fancies, merely conjecturing.´

Those who are polytheists say: If Allah pleased we would not have set up (aught with Him) nor our fathers, nor would have made anything unlawful. Thus did those before them reject (the truth) until they tasted Our punishment. Say: Have you any knowledge so you would bring it forth to us? You only follow a conjecture and you only tell lies

Those who associate partners (with Allah) will say, "Had Allah willed we would not have associated partners (with Allah) nor our forefathers nor we would have made anything unlawful (by ourselves)." Thus did those before them deny, till they tasted Our punishment. Say, "Do you have any knowledge, then bring it out for us, you follow nothing but conjecture and you do nothing but lie."

Those, who worship others besides Allah, will say, "If Allah had willed, we and our fathers would not have worshipped others besides Him, nor would we have forbidden anything." Thus did those before them deny until they tasted Our punishment. Say, "Have you any knowledge that you can put forth for us? You follow nothing but conjecture and you do nothing but guess!"

Those who shared/made partners (with God) will say: "If God wanted/willed, we would not (have) made partners (with God), and nor our fathers, and nor forbade from a thing." Like that those from before them lied/denied until they tasted/experienced Our might/power , say: "Is at you from knowledge, so you bring it out for us? That you follow except the assumption/suspicion, and that truly you are except lying/speculating."

THOSE who are bent on ascribing divinity to aught beside God will say, "Had God so willed, we would not have ascribed divinity to aught but Him, nor would our forefathers [have done so]; and neither would we have declared as forbidden anything [that He has allowed]." Even so did those who lived before them give the lie to the truth -until they came to taste Our punishment! Say: "Have you any [certain] knowledge which you could proffer to us? You follow but [other people's] conjectures, and you yourselves do nothing but guess."

The ones who have associated (i.e., associated others with Allah) will soon say, "If Allah had (so) decided, in no way would we have associated (with Him), nor our fathers, nor would we have even prohibited anything." Thus, the ones before them cried lies until they tasted Our violence. Say, "Do you have in your presence any knowledge so you can bring it out to us? Decidedly you closely follow (nothing) except surmise, and decidedly you (do nothing) except conjecture."

They who are idolaters will say: Had Allah willed, we had not ascribed (unto Him) partners neither had our fathers, nor had we forbidden aught. Thus did those who were before them give the lie (to Allah's messengers) till they tasted of the fear of Us. Say: Have ye any knowledge that ye can adduce for Us? Lo! ye follow naught but an opinion, Lo! ye do but guess

The pagans will say, "Had God wanted, we would not have worshipped idols, nor would our fathers, nor would we have made anything unlawful." Others before them had also spoken such lies until they experienced the severity of Our wrath. (Muhammad), ask them, "Do you possess any knowledge? If so, tell us about it. You follow only conjectures and preach falsehood."

Those who associate partners with Allah will say, .Had Allah willed, we would have not associated (partners with Him), nor our fathers, nor would we have made anything prohibited. In the same way those who went before them gave the lie to (the truth) until they tasted Our punishment. Say, .Do you have any sure knowledge that you may produce to us? You follow nothing but whims, and do nothing but make conjectures

Those who are ‘Polytheists’ will say, "If Allâh had willed, we would not have been ‘Polytheists’ , neither our fathers , nor would we have forbidden aught. Thus, did they who were before them. they refused to acknowledge the Truth, until they tasted our punishment. Say, "Do you have any knowledge that you can produce it to us?" Surely you follow nothing but speculations and you do nothing but telling lies."

Those who are Polytheists will say: "If Allâh had willed, we would not have been Polytheists, neither would our forefathers, nor would we have forbidden anything.” Even so those who were before them denied until they tasted Our punishment. Say: "Do you have any knowledge that you can produce it to us?" Surely you only follow false assumptions and only speak lies.

The idolaters will say, “If Allah wanted, neither we nor our ancestors would have associated anything with Allah, nor would we have forbidden the eating of anything.” In the same way, people before them used to lie outrageously, until they tasted Our punishment. Say: “Have you got any knowledge? If so, produce it for us. You only follow speculation and tell lies.

The polytheists will argue, “Had it been Allah’s Will, neither we nor our forefathers would have associated others with Him ˹in worship˺ or made anything unlawful.” Likewise, those before them rejected the truth until they tasted Our punishment. Ask ˹them, O Prophet˺, “Do you have any knowledge that you can produce for us? Surely you follow nothing but ˹false˺ assumptions and you do nothing but lie.”

The idolaters say: had Allah willed, neither we nor our fathers would have been idolaters and we would not have forbidden anything. Likewise those before them denied until they tasted Our adversity. Say: Have you got any knowledge, then produce it for us. You only follow assumptions and only guess.

The idolaters will say: ‘Had God pleased, neither we nor our fathers would have served other gods besides Him; nor would we have declared anything unlawful.‘ In like manner did those who have gone before them disbelieve until they felt Our might. Say: ‘Have you any knowledge you can put before us? You believe in nothing but conjecture and follow nothing but falsehoods.‘

The idol worshipers say, "Had GOD willed, we would not practice idolatry, nor would our parents, nor would we prohibit anything." Thus did those before them disbelieve, until they incurred our retribution. Say, "Do you have any proven knowledge that you can show us? You follow nothing but conjecture; you only guess."

Those who are bent on ascribing divinity to other than God will say, "If God had willed it, we would not have ascribed divinity to anyone beside Him, nor would our forefathers [have done so], and we also would not have declared anything He has allowed as forbidden." In the same way, those who came before them continued to deny the truth until they came to taste Our punishment. Say, "Do you have any knowledge that you can offer us? You follow suppositions, and you only guess."

Those who are polytheists will say, “Had Allah willed, we would not be a polytheist, and not our forefathers, nor deprived from anything.” And thus, those before them falsified, until they tasted Our adversity. Say, “Is it with you any knowledge so you exit it out for us? You are only following except the assumption, and surely you are not except guessing”

Those who associate others with Allah will say, "Had Allah willed, we would not practice idolatry, nor would our ancestors, nor would we prohibit anything." So did their ancestors argue falsely until they tasted Our Requital. Say, "Do you have any proven knowledge that you can present (that the human being is created without free will (18:29), (76:3), (90:10)? Nay, you follow nothing but conjecture. You only run after guess-work."

Those who are polytheists will say: If Allah had pleased we would not have associated (aught with Him) nor our fathers, nor would we have forbidden (to ourselves) anything; even so did those before them reject until they tasted Our punishment. Say: Have you any knowledge with you so you should bring it forth to us? You only follow a conjecture and you only tell lies

Those who associate gods with ALLAH will say, `If ALLAH had pleased, we would not have associated gods with HIM, nor would our fathers, nor would we have made anything unlawful.' In the like manner did those who were before them accuse God's Messengers of falsehood, until they tasted OUR wrath. Say, `Have you any knowledge? Then produce it for us. You only follow mere conjecture. And you only tell lies.

Those who give partners (to Allah) will say: "If Allah had wished, we should not have given partners to Him, nor would our fathers; Nor should we have had any (of such) conducts." So did their ancestors argue falsely, until they tasted Our might. Say: "Have you any (certain) knowledge (or proof)? If so produce it before us. Surely, you follow nothing but (unsupported) thought: You do nothing but lie."

Those who associate [others in their worship of God) will say: ´I God had so wished, neither we nor our forefathers would have associated [anything with Him] nor have forbidden anything." Even so did those before them reject [Us] until they tasted Our might. SAY: "Have you (all) any knowledge? Then bring it here for us! Why, you only follow conjecture; you are merely guessing!"

Those who associate others will say, “If God had willed, we wouldn’t have associated anything with Him, nor would our forefathers, nor would we have prohibited anything.” Likewise, those before them had rejected until they tasted Our punishment. Say, “Do you have any knowledge you can present to us? You are just following speculation, and you do nothing but lie.”

The polytheists will say, 'Had God willed, we would not have practiced idolatry, nor would have our forefathers, nor would we have prohibited anything.' Likewise those before them lied, until they tasted Our might. Say, 'Do you have any knowledge that you can produce for us? You follow nothing but conjecture, and you only guess.'

Those who ascribe partners unto God will say, “Had God willed, we would not have ascribed partners unto God, nor our fathers, nor would we have forbidden anything.” Those who were before them had similarly denied, till they tasted Our Might. Say, “Do you have any knowledge that you can produce for us? You follow naught but conjecture, and you merely surmise.

Those who associate partners will say, 'Had God willed, we had not associated partners nor our fathers; nor would we have prohibited anything.' Thus those who were before them denied until they tasted Our punishment. Say, 'Have you any knowledge with you? Then bring it forth to us: you follow not except conjecture, and you do not except lie.'

Those who associated with Allah will say, "If Allah had willed, we would not have associated [anything] and neither would our fathers, nor would we have prohibited anything." Likewise did those before deny until they tasted Our punishment. Say, "Do you have any knowledge that you can produce for us? You follow not except assumption, and you are not but falsifying."

Those who associate partners with God will surely say, Had God pleased, neither we nor our fathers would have served other gods besides Him; nor would we have made anything unlawful. Likewise those who lived before them argued falsely until they came to taste Our punishment! Say, Have you any knowledge? If so, produce it before us. You follow nothing but conjecture. You are merely guessing

Those who give partners (to Allah) will say: "If Allah had wished, we should not have given partners to Him nor would our fathers; nor should we have had any taboos." So did their ancestors argue falsely, until they tasted of Our wrath. Say: "Have ye any (certain) knowledge? If so, produce it before us. Ye follow nothing but conjecture: ye do nothing but lie."
