O you who believe, do not ask about things which, if clarified, would harm you - and if you ask about them with the Qur'an being revealed, then they will become clear to you. God pardons for them, and God is Forgiving, Compassionate.

You who believe, do not ask about matters which, if made known to you, might make things difficult for you- if you ask about them while the Quran is being revealed, they will be made known to you- for God has kept silent about them: God is most forgiving and forbearing

O you who believe! You don’t ask (questions) about things if they are made clear to you, they may trouble you. If you ask (questions) about these when the Qur’an is being revealed, they will be made clear to you. Allah has forgiven that and Allah is Forgiving, Forbearing.

O ye who believe! ask not about things which if disclosed to you, may annoy you; and if ye ask about them while the Qur'an is being revealed, they may be disclosed to you. Allah hath pardoned that; and Allah is Forgiving, Forbearing

O believers, do not ask about things which, if made known to you, may vex you. But if you ask about them when the Qur'an is being revealed they will be unfolded to you. God has overlooked (your failings) in this (respect), for God is forgiving and forbearing

O believers... Do not ask questions about things that you find unpleasant, when explained to you! If you ask such things while the Quran is being revealed, they will be explained to you! Allah has forgiven them... Allah is the Ghafur, the Halim.

'O believers! ask not such things which if disclosed to you, may displease you; and if you will ask while the Quran is descending then they would be disclosed to you. Allah has already pardoned them. And Allah is Forgiving, Forbearing.

You who have iman! do not ask about matters which, if they were made known to you, would make things difficult for you. If you do ask about them when the Qur´an is being sent down, they will be made known to you. Allah has ignored them. Allah is Ever-Forgiving, All-Forbearing.

O you who believe! (Practice as you are admonished to practice, and) do not ask about things which, if made manifest to you, would give you trouble (and make the practice of religion difficult for you). Even so, if you ask about them while the Qur’an is being sent down, they (what is necessary to be made manifest) will be made manifest to you (to the extent that God wills). (Many things that you have either asked or want to ask about, but which God has left unspoken) God has absolved you thereof: God is All-Forgiving, All-Clement

O you who have faith! Do not ask about things which, if they are disclosed to you, will upset you. Yet if you ask about them while the Qur’an is being sent down, they shall be disclosed to you. Allah has excused it, and Allah is all-forgiving, all-forbearing

O You who believe! do not inquire into (the details of Divine Laws on many) things which, if explained to you, would cause you trouble, though if you ask about them while the Qur'an is being revealed, they will be explained to you; (yet) Allah has passed over this (detailed mentioning on purpose), for Allah is Great Protector, Ever Forbearing

O believers, question not concerning things which, if they were revealed to you, would vex you; yet if you question concerning them when the Koran is being sent down, they will be revealed to you. God has effaced those things; for God is All-forgiving, All-clement

You who believe, do not ask about things that if they are disclosed to you, they upset you, and if you ask about them when Quran is being sent down, they will be disclosed to you, God has excused them, and God is forgiving and patient.

O’ Believers, do not ask [useless & unnecessary] questions about matters, which, if explained in detail, would cause hardship upon you (such as whether or not one should go to the Pilgrimage of Mecca only once or once a year.) If you ask them when Qur’an is being revealed [or perhaps when it is being penetrated in your heart,] the answers will be made known to you. God has forgiven you for what you have done up to this point as He is Forgiving and Understanding

O you who believe, do not ask questions about things which if made plain to you, may cause you problems. But if you ask about things when the Quran is being revealed, they will be made plain to you, and God will forgive, because God is Oft-Forgiving, Most Understanding

O you who believe (Do) not ask about things if made clear to you it may distress you and if you ask about it when is being revealed the Quran it would be made clear to you has (been) pardoned (by) Allah [about] it and Allah (is) Oft-Forgiving All-Forbearing

O you who have Believed! Do not ask about the matters (which) if made plain to you may cause you trouble. But if you put up a question about it while Al-Quran is being sent (to your heart and its statements are becoming evident on you and you are appreciating its teachings and concepts), it will become evident on you. Allah has overlooked it and Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Forbearing

O those who believed! Ask not about things that if they are shown to you would raise anger in you. Yet if you ask about them at the time when the Quran is being sent down, they will be shown to you. God pardoned that which is past. And God is Forgiving, Forbearing.

O believers! Do not ask about things (on which the Qur’an is quiet,) for if they are disclosed to you, they may put you in strain (and you will be repelled by them). But if you enquire about them whilst the Qur’an is being sent down, they will be disclosed to you (i.e., fixated through revealing the commandments, but this will put an end to your choice of discretion, binding you to only one command). Allah has (so far) overlooked (these matters and questions), and Allah is Most Forgiving, Most Forbearing

Oh you who believe! Do not ask questions about matters which, if disclosed, can only cause you hardship. And disclosed they would be, if you ask about these matters while the Qur´an is being revealed. Allah will overlook that (this time). Allah is the most Forgiving and the most Forbearing

O ye who believe! ask not about things which if they be shown to you will pain you; but if ye ask about them when the (whole) Qur'an is revealed, they shall be shown to you. God pardons that, for God is forgiving and clement

O People who Believe! Do not ask about matters which, if disclosed to you, would be disliked by you; and if you ask about them while the Qur’an is being sent down, they will be disclosed to you; Allah has forgiven these; and Allah is Oft Forgiving, Most Forbearing

O you who believe! Do not ask about certain things which if revealed unto you will cause you consternation but if you ask about it while the Quran is being sent down, then it will be revealed unto you. Thus Allah has pardoned it and Allah is Oft-Forgiving, All-magnanimous.

O Believers, do not ask questions about things if the precision [of specific laws] about them would cause you difficulties. If you ask about them while the Qur’an is being revealed, (specific laws) will be declared for you. Allah does not hold you responsible (for specific laws not revealed). Allah is the Most Forgiving, Most Tolerant.

Believers! Do not ask of the things which, if made manifest to you, would vex you; for, if you should ask about them while the Qur´an is being revealed, they will be made manifest to you. Allah has pardoned whatever happened in the past. He is All-Forgiving, All-Forbearing

O you who believe, as not about things which if made known to you would give you trouble; and if you ask about them when the Qur’an is being revealed, they will be made known to you. Allah pardons this; and Allah is Forgiving, Forbearing

O you who believe ! do not ask about things which if made known to you, would trouble you, and if you ask about them while the Quran is being sent down (then) they will be made known to you, Allah pardoned you for this and Allah is Protectively Forgiving, Clement.

O you who believe! Do not put questions about things, which, if clarified to you, may cause difficulties for you. And if you put questions about them when the Quran is being revealed, they may be clarified to you. Allah has absolved you of any obligation thereon. And Allah is Forgiving, Kind

O YOU who have attained to faith! God has absolved [you from any obligation] in this respect: for God is much-forgiving, forbearing

O you who have believed, do not ask about things which, in case they were displayed to you, would vex you, and in case you ask about them while the Qur'an is being sent down, they will be displayed to you. Allah has been clement towards them, (i.e., those things) and Allah is Ever-Forgiving, Ever-Forbearing

O ye who believe! Ask not of things which, if they were made unto you, would trouble you; but if ye ask of them when the Qur'an is being revealed, they will be made known unto you. Allah pardoneth this, for Allah is Forgiving, Clement

Believers, do not ask about things which, if revealed to you, would disappoint you. If you ask about such things when the Prophet is receiving revelations, they will also be revealed to you. God has exempted you (from the responsibilities of the things you wanted to know). He is All-forgiving and Forbearing

O you who believe, do not ask about things which, if disclosed, would displease you. If you ask about them while the Qur‘an is being revealed, they will be disclosed to you. Allah has pardoned you for it. Allah is Most-Forgiving, Forbearing

O’ who adhere firmly to Islamic monotheism, do not ask about things which, if they are made known to you, would cause you trouble, though if you ask about them while the 'Qur’ān' is being sent down, then they will be made known to you. Allâh has left them out on purpose. Allâh is Oft-Forgiving, Most Forbearing.

O' you Live by Faith! Do not ask about things which if they are made known to you, would cause you trouble, though if you ask about them while the Qur’ān is being revealed, then they will be made known to you. Allâh has left them out on purpose. Allâh is Oft-Forgiving- Most Forbearing.

Believers, don’t ask too many questions, if they were answered they would cause you difficulty, and if you ask while the Quran is being revealed they will be made clear to you. Allah has kept silence about them. Allah is Forgiving, Gentle.

O believers! Do not ask about any matter which, if made clear to you, may disturb you. But if you inquire about what is being revealed in the Quran, it will be made clear to you. Allah has forgiven what was done ˹in the past˺. And Allah is All-Forgiving, Most Forbearing.

Oh you believers, do not ask about matters which if they were made known to you would trouble you. And if you ask about them at the time the Qur´an is being revealed, they will be made known to you. Allah forgives this, and Allah is forgiving and gentle.

Believers, do not ask about matters that would trouble you if disclosed to you. But, if you ask about them while the Qur'an is being revealed, they will be made known to you. God has absolved [you from any obligation] in this respect. God is most forgiving and longsuffering.

O you who believed, do not ask about things which if they appear to you, it will bad you. And if you are asking about them while the Quran is being sent down, it will demonstrate for you. Allah pardoned it. And Allah is Forgiver, A Clement.

O You who have chosen to be graced with belief! Ask not unnecessary details of the things as the Israelites did to Moses about the cow. This attitude may bring unpleasant consequences for you. But if you ask them as the Qur'an is being revealed, the minor details of Ordinances might be given which will be hard for you to follow. The general rule has been given that all pure and good things are Permissible to you. Your questions are very clearly answered in the Qur'an (5:15), (15:1), (22:40). Allah has absolved you in this respect for Allah is Forgiving, Clement. (The Qur'an is for all times, and while the basic Laws and Principles remain immutable, minor details are intended to be flexible according to temporal and spatial requirements (11:1). "This day I have perfected your DEEN for you, completed My favor upon you, and chosen for you Islam as the System of Life" (5:3))

O you who believe! do not put questions about things which if declared to you may trouble you, and if you question about them when the Quran is being revealed, they shall be declared to you; Allah pardons this, and Allah is Forgiving, Forbearing
