We saved him and his people from great distress

We saved him and his family from serious grief,

so We saved him and his followers from the great distress,

I (God) saved him and his followers from the great catastrophe

And We delivered him and his followers from the mighty distress

And We rescued him and his family from the tremendous distress.

And We safely delivered him and his family from the tremendous agony

And We rescued him and his family from the great distress (drowning),

And We rescued him and his family from the great distress (i.e. drowning)

And We rescued him, and his family from the great destruction (of the Flood)

We saved him and (his true followers among) his family and people from the mighty distress

And We saved/rescued him and his family/relation from the grief, hardship and suffering the great

For, We saved him, his family and his followers from the great distress. ('Ahl' or the Household of a Prophet includes his followers)
