Quran 37 : 35
Indeed, they were, when it was said to them, "(There is) no god except Allah," were arrogant
إِنَّهُمْ
Iinnahum
كَانُوٓا۟
Kānuwa
إِذَا
Iidhā
قِيلَ
Qīla
لَهُمْ
Lahum
لَآ
Laa
إِلَٰهَ
Iilaāha
إِلَّا
Iillā
ٱللَّهُ
Allahu
يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ
Yastakbirūna
When they are told that there is no god but Allah they are arrogant.
Whenever they were told, "There is no god but God," they became arrogant,
When they were told, “There is no god but God,” they exhibited arrogance.
When they were told, There is no deity but God, they turned away with disdain
They indeed were arrogant, when it was said to them: There is no god but Allah
The arrogant people, when they were asked to say: “There is no God but Allah,”
When it was said to them: "There is no god except God," they would be arrogant.
For when it was said unto them, There is no Allah save Allah, they were scornfu
When they were told, ´There is no god but Allah,´ they were arrogant.
For when it was said to them, `There is no god but ALLAH, they behaved arrogantly
Because when it was said to them, There is no God but God, they swelled with pride
When it was said to them, 'There is no god except God,' they grew arrogant
Indeed, when it was said unto them, “There is no god but God,” they waxed arrogant
They used to scorn and scoff arrogantly when told that there is no god except Allah
for when it was said to them, 'There is no god but God,' they were ever waxing proud
For when it was said to them: 'There is no god except Allah, ' they were always prou
for when they were told: ‘There is no deity but God,‘ they said with scorn
They were, if it was said to them, “There is no god except Allah they were arrogating.
Surely they used to behave proudly when it was said to them: There is no god but Allah
Indeed, when it was said to them, 'There is no god but God,' they were big with pride,
Verily, when it is said to them, 'There is no god but God,' they get too big with pride
They were those to whom when it was said: .There is no god but Allah., they waxed proud
Indeed, they were when it was said to them (There is) no god except Allah were arrogant
Verily when it was said Unto them: there is no god but Allah, they ever grew stiff-necked
Truly, when it had been said to them: There is no god but God, they grow arrogant.
Indeed, whenever they were told that no god is there except Allah, they became arrogant.
For when it was said to them, "There is no god but Allah", they showed arrogance
Whenever it was said to them, ‘There is no deity but God,’ they became arrogant
In fact, when it was said unto them: "There is no god but Allâh," they acted imperiously.
When they were told to accept the Truth, “There is no god, only Allah,” they were egocentric!
That they truly were if (it) was said to them: "No God except god" they be arrogant
Indeed they, when it was said to them, "There is no deity but Allah ," were arrogan
For when they were told that there is no deity but God, they would grow arrogant and reject it
They were the ones, who on being told, "God is only One," become puffed-up with prid
Indeed, when it was said to them, “There is no God except Allah”, they were haughty
They had indeed behaved arrogantly, when they were told, "There is no god but Allah!"
In fact, when it was said to them: "There is no other god beside Allâh”, they acted imperiously,
For they, when they were told that there is no god except God, would puff themselves up with pride
Because when it is said unto them, there is no god besides the true God, they swell with arrogance
Whenever it was said to them: "There is no true deity apart from Allah," they waxed prou
Surely when it was said to them, "There is no god except Allah, " they were waxing proud
For they, when they were told that there is no god except Allah, would puff themselves up with Pride
Indeed, when it was said to them there is no god except God, they were arrogant (and did not accept).
They have acted so proudly whenever: "There is no deity except Allah (God) [Alone]" was said to them,
Truly they used to persist in their arrogance when they were told that there is no deity except Allah.
Surely they used to behave arrogantly when it was said to them, "There is no God but Allah."
They were those who, when it was said to them, "There is no god but God," behaved with insolence
Undoubtedly, when it was said to them, 'None is to be worshipped beside Allah', they then swelled with pride.
Indeed it was they who, when they were told, ‘There is no god except Allah,’ used to be disdainful
Truly, when they were told that there is no god except Allah, they would fill themselves up with (false) pride
They have acted so proudly whenever: "There is no deity except God [Alone]" was said to them,
for, behold, whenever they were told, “There is no deity save God,” they would glory in their arrogance
When they were told, "Laa Elaaha Ella Allah [There is no other god beside GOD]," they turned arrogant.
surely, when it was said to them: “There is no one worthy of worship but Allah,” they used to puff themselves up with pride
When it was said to them, “There is no god except Allah,” they certainly used to consider themselves great (to accept this).
These are the same people that when they were told: “There is no other god beside God”, they revealed their arrogant nature
Surely, they were such people that when it was said to them: ‘There is none worthy of worship except Allah,’ they used to show arrogance
For when it was said to them, `There is no other, cannot be and will never be One worthy of worship but Allah,' they ever turned away in disdain
For whenever it was said to them ˹in the world˺, “There is no god ˹worthy of worship˺ except Allah,” they acted arrogantly
Truly they, when it was said to them: “La ilaha-ill-Allah [(there is) no god except Allah]”, they used to show stubborn arrogance
Truly, when it was said to them: La ilaha ill-Allah "(none has the right to be worshipped but Allah)," they puffed themselves up with pride (i.e. denied it)
