Quran 34 : 16

But they turned away... So, We let loose upon them the flood of the dam and replaced their gardens with trees bearing bitter fruits and a few cedar trees.

But they turned away, so We sent against them a flood from the dam and replaced both their gardens with gardens of bitter food and tamarisk and some cedar trees.

But they paid no heed. So We let loose upon them the waters of the dam and replaced their gardens by two others bearing bitter fruit, tamarisks, and a few nettles

Yet they turned away, so We sent the Flood of the Dam upon them, and We replaced their two gardens with gardens yielding bitter fruit, tamarisks, and a few thorny shrubs.

But they turned away, so We sent them a destructive flash flood, and We substituted their two gardens with two gardens of rotten fruits, thorny plants, and a skimpy harvest

They ignored (the evidence) and We sent to them a flood, arising from a broken dam. Nothing was left in their gardens but bitter fruits, some tamarisk and a few lotus trees

But they turned away, so We loosed on them the flood from the dam, and We replaced their two gardens with two others of bitter fruit, tamarisk bushes and a few thorn trees.

But they paid no heed, so We let loose on them a flood from the dam and replaced their two gardens with others that yielded bitter fruit, tamarisk bushes, and a few lote trees

They disregarded, however, and We sent a flood from the dams against them. We changed their two plots into gardens producing bitter fruit and tamarisks and a few lote trees.

Unfortunately they chose to disobey Me (God) and I broke their irrigation dam causing a big flood. Their fruitful gardens then produced nothing but bitter fruits and a few bushes

But they turned away, so We unleashed against them the flood of the dam; and We substituted their two gardens with two gardens of bitter fruits, thorny shrubs, and meager harvest

They spurned [it], so We sent a torrent from the dam upon them, and We changed both their gardens for them into two gardens yielding bitter food, tamarisk and a very few hawthorns.

So, they turned away, so We sent upon them the surging flood; and We substituted their two paradises with two paradises of bitter foods, tamarisks and something of sparse lote trees.

But they turned their faces, We then sent towards them a fierce flood and We exchanged their two gardens with two other gardens bearing insipid fruit and tamarisk and a few lote trees.

Then they turned away. So We sent to them the flood of the dam, and replaced their two gardens with two gardens having fruits of bitter taste, and tamarisk and some bushes of wild lotes

But they turned away. Wherefore We sent upon them the inundation of the dam and We exchanged their two gardens for two gardens bearing bitter fruit, and tamarisk. And some few lote-trees

But they turned aside, so We sent upon them a violent torrent, and in place of their two gardens We gave them two gardens yielding bitter fruit and (growing) tamarisk and a few lote-trees

But they were froward, so We sent on them the flood of 'Iram, and in exchange for their two gardens gave them two gardens bearing bitter fruit, the tamarisk and here and there a lote-tree

They turned away and, consequently, we poured upon them a disastrous flood, and we substituted their two gardens into two gardens of badtasting fruits, thorny plants, and a skimpy harvest.

They spurned [it], so We sent a torrent from the dam upon them, and We changed both their gardens for them into two gardens yielding bitter food, tamarisk and a very few hawthorns.

but they turned away, and we sent against them the flood of the dyke; and we changed for them their two gardens into two gardens that grew bitter fruit and tamarisk, and some few lote trees

Then they turned away, so We sent the devastating flood on them, and We changed their two gardens into two gardens having bitter fruits and tamarisk, and a little bit of a Lote (Sidra) tree.

In response they turned away - We therefore sent upon them a tremendous flood, and in exchange of their two gardens gave them two gardens bearing bitter fruit, and tamarisk, and some berries

But they turned away, and We sent against them the flood of the dyke; and We changed for them their two gardens into two gardens that grew bitter fruit and tamarisk, and some few lote trees.

But they turned away and so We let loose upon them a devastating flood that swept away the dams and replaced their gardens by two others bearing bitter fruits, tamarisks, and a few lote trees

Yet they turned away [from the truth]. So We let loose on them a flood from the dam and replaced their two gardens by two others bearing bitter fruits, tamarisks, and a few lote trees

But they turned away so We unleashed against them the flood from the great dam and exchanged their two gardens for two others containing bitter-tasting plants and tamarisk and a few lote trees.

But they disregarded [the path of Allah], so We unleashed upon them a violent flood and replaced their two gardens with two gardens bearing bitter fruit, tamarisk, and sparse lote trees

But they turned away. So We sent against them the Flood (at the city) of Arim, and exchanged their gardens with two others bearing bitter fruit andTamarisks, and here and there a few Lotus trees

But they turned away [from Allah] so We sent upon them an overwhelming flood and We changed their two gardens with two other gardens full of bitter fruit and tamarisks and a little bit of lot-tree.

But they turned away. So We sent against them a devastating flood, and replaced their orchards with two others producing bitter fruit, fruitless bushes, and a few ˹sparse˺ thorny trees.

But they turned away; so WE sent against them a devastating flood. And WE gave them, in place of their two excellent gardens, two gardens bearing bitter fruit and containing tamarisk and a few lote-trees

But they turned away. So We let loose on them the inundation of (the dyke of) al-'Arim, replacing their gardens with two other gardens which bore only bitter gourd, and tamarisks and a few sparse lote-trees

But they turned away; so We loosed on them the Flood of Arim, and We gave them, in exchange for their two gardens, two gardens bearing bitter produce and tamarisk-bushes, and here and there a few lote-trees

But they turned aside, so We sent against them the overwhelming flood, and We substituted for their two gardens, two gardens yielding a sour harvest, and tamarisks, and something of lote-trees here and there.

But they turned away (from Allah). So We sent against them a flood of Arim (released water from the dam), and We converted their 2 gardens into gardens producing bitter fruits, shrubs, and some few lote-trees.

But they took no heed, so We sent upon them a torrent of water released from the dam, and we substituted their two gardens into gardens yielding bitter fruit and containing tamarisk bushes and a few lote-trees

But they turned away [refusing], so We sent upon them the flood of the dam, and We replaced their two [fields of] gardens with gardens of bitter fruit, tamarisks and something of sparse lote trees

But they turned away from God, and We sent against them the flood released from the dams, and We converted their two garden rows into gardens producing bitter fruit, and tamarisks, and some few stunted lotus-trees

Then they turned away (from obedience). So We let loose against them a devastating flood, and We converted both their gardens into (such) gardens as bearing sour and bitter fruit and tamarisks and a few lote-trees

But they turned away (from the Right Path). Then We sent upon them an inundating flood. And in place of their two gardens, We gave them two gardens yielding bitter fruit and growing tamarisk and some stunted Sidr.

But they turned away (from Allah), and against them, We sent a flood from the dams, and We made their two (rows of) Gardens into gardens growing bitter bad fruit, and shrubs and some few lote-trees (thorny bushes)

But they turned away so We sent upon them (the) flood (of) the dam and We changed for them their two gardens (with) two gardens producing fruit producing fruit bitter and tamarisks and (some)thing of lote trees few

Yet, they veered away; so We sent on them the Flood of Arim, and We gave them in exchange for their two gardens, two gardens (comprising) meager crops and tamarisk-bushes, and (some) little (fruit) of the lote- trees

But they turned aside, so We sent upon them a torrent of which the rush could not be withstood, and in place of their two gardens We gave to them two gardens yielding bitter fruit and (growing) tamarisk and a few lote-trees

But they turned away. So We (broke the dam and) flooded their land with the dam water. We converted their gardens into uncultivated plots (growing wild trees) with bitter fruits and a few scattered trees of Tamarisk and Lotus

But they turned away from Divine Values and We sent on them the Flood of the 'Arim' released from water dams. And We turned their Gardens into 'gardens' producing wild bitter fruit, and a thorny Lote-tree here and a tree there

But they turned away. Thereupon We sent against them a devastating flood. And We replaced their two (excellent) gardens by two (other) gardens bearing bitter fruit and (containing) Tamarisk and a few nettle shrubs (here and there)

But they turned away (from the obedience of Allah), so We sent against them Sail AlArim (flood released from the dam), and We converted their two gardens into gardens producing bitter bad fruit, and tamarisks, and some few lotetrees

But they turned away (from Allah), and We sent against them the Flood (released) from the dams, and We converted their two garden (rows) into "gardens" producing bitter fruit, and tamarisks, and some few (stunted) Lote-trees

They turned away from Our call, so We sent the floodwater of the broken dam against them, and We turned their gardens into gardens that now produced bitter fruit, Tamarisks, and the sparse thorny Lote tree.

But they turned aside, so We unleashed upon them a rushing torrent (that devastated their two gardens). And We gave them, in place of their gardens, two gardens yielding bitter fruit, tamarisks and something from scattered lote- trees.

But they turned away (being ungrateful), so We sent on them the tremendous flood and in exchange for their two gardens, We gave to them two (other) gardens yielding bitter fruit and tamarisk and few lote trees. tamarisk and few lote trees.

But they turned aside from what We had commanded them; wherefore We sent against them the inundation of al Arem, and We changed their two gardens for them into two gardens producing bitter fruit, and tamarisks, and some little fruit of the lote-tree

But they turned away [from Us], and so We let loose upon them a flood that overwhelmed the dams, and changed their two [expanses of luxuriant] gardens into a couple of gardens yielding bitter fruit, and tamarisks, and some few [wild] lote-trees

So they opposed/objected so We sent on (to) them the dam's/strong rain's flowage/flood/torrent, and We exchanged/replaced them with their two treed gardens two treed gardens with of (B) sour and bitter/weak crop and inedible food/fruits, and a thing from little sedre/lote-tree

But they turned away (from thanksgiving to the sins of luxury and heedless self-indulgence). So We sent upon them the flood of (waters released from) the dams, and converted their two (lovely) gardens into a couple of gardens yielding bitter produce, tamarisks, and sparse lote-trees

Then they detached themselves (from the Teachings in Al-Kitab), so We directed over them Sail al’arim (flood released from the dam), and We replaced (for) them, in place of their two (ideal) gardens, (another) two gardens: producers of bad bitter fruit, and tamarisks, and a very meagre number out of the lote (trees)
