We have offered the trust to the heavens and the earth, and the mountains, but they refused to bear it, and were fearful of it. But man accepted it; he was transgressing, ignorant

We offered the Trust to the heavens, the earth, and the mountains, yet they refused to undertake it and were afraid of it; mankind undertook it- they have always been inept and foolish

Truly, We did offer the trust (of moral responsibility, honesty, and all duties which Allah has ordained) to the heavens, the earth, and the mountains, but they declined to undertake it and were afraid of (punishment) it. But human undertook it. Surely, human was unjust (to themselves) and ignorant (of results).

Verily We! We offered the trust unto the heavens and the earth and the mountains, but they refused to bear it and shrank therefor. And man bore it; verily he was very iniquitous and very ignorant

We had offered the Trust (of divine responsibilities) to the heavens, the earth, the mountains, but they refrained from bearing the burden and were frightened of it; but man took it on himself. He is a faithless ignoramus

Indeed, we offered the Trust (living consciously of the Names) to the heavens (consciousness of the self, ego) and the earth (the body) and the mountains (the organs), and they declined to bear it (their Name compositions did not have the capacity to manifest it) and feared it; but Man (the consciousness to manifest the Names that compose vicegerency) undertook to bear it. Indeed, he is unjust (insufficient in duly living his reality) and ignorant (of the knowledge of His infinite Names).

Undoubtedly, We offered the Trust to the heavens and the earth and the mountains, but they refused to bear it and were afraid of it, and man bore it. Undoubtedly, he is the bearer of hardship, ignorant.

We offered the Trust to the heavens, the earth and the mountains but they refused to take it on and shrank from it. But man took it on. He is indeed wrongdoing and ignorant.

We offered the Trust to the heavens, and the earth, and the mountains, but they shrank from bearing it, and were afraid of it (fearful of being unable to fulfill its responsibility), but human has undertaken it. He is indeed prone to doing great wrong and misjudging, and acting out of sheer ignorance

Indeed We presented the Trust to the heavens and the earth and the mountains, but they refused to bear it, and were apprehensive of it; but man undertook it. Indeed he is most unfair and senseless

Verily, We presented the trust (- Our injunctions and laws) to the heavens and the earth and the mountains and they refused to prove false to it, and they were struck with awe of it. On the other hand a human-being has proved false to it (by betraying the trust and violating the Divine commandments), for he could be unjust and is forgetful

We offered the trust to the heavens and the earth and the mountains, but they refused to carry it and were afraid of it; and man carried it. Surely he is sinful, very foolish

Indeed, We offered the trust to the skies and the earth and the mountains, but they refused to undertake it and they were afraid of it, but the human being undertook it. Indeed, he is wrongdoer and ignorant.

I (God) offered the responsibility [freedom of choice and being God’s vice-gerent] to the heavens, the earth and the mountains [this indicates that the matter is also a living species having a spirit of its own. After all, how can its electrons circle around their nucleolus without energy and spirit?], they refused to bear it[as they were afraid of failing in such a big mission.] Only man accepted this mission; how ignorant this unjust creature is

We indeed offered the trust to the heavens and the earth, and the mountains, but they refused to undertake it, being afraid of it, but the human being undertook it. Indeed he was uninformed and thus misjudged

Indeed, We [We] offered the Trust to the heavens and the earth and the mountains but they refused to bear it and they feared from it but bore it the man Indeed, he was unjust ignorant

Truly We, We did offer Al-Amanah (‘The trust’, or choice in choosing and adopting the Prescribed Way of Allah, inspite of being semi-independent in certain aspects) to the heavens and the earth, and the mountains, but they declined that they may bear it and became apprehensive of it; but the human personality (accepted this burden and) bore it. Verily, thus he became unjust (to himself) and ignorant (of its responsibilities and obligations)

Truly, We presented the trust to the heavens and the earth and the mountains, but they refused to carry it and were apprehensive of it. But the human being carried it. Truly, he had been wrongdoing, very ignorant.

Indeed, We offered the trust (of obedience) to the heavens and the earth and the mountains, but they declined to bear this (burden) and felt scared of it, but man took it on. Verily, he is given to wrongdoing (against his own soul), unwise and extremely ignorant (of the consequence of lapse in paying back the trust)

Indeed, We presented this trust (the Qur´an) to the sky, the earth and the mountains, to see if they would accept the responsibility that goes with it. They shied away and declined to bear it. But man assumed the obligation. Man was indeed cruel (to himself) and ignorant (of its importance)

Verily, we offered the trust to the heavens and the earth and the mountains, but they refused to bear it, and shrank from it; but man bore it: verily, he is ever unjust and ignorant

We indeed offered the trust to the heavens and the earth and the mountains, but they refused it and were afraid of it - and man accepted it; indeed he is one who puts himself into hardship, is extremely unwise

We indeed presented the trust to the heavens and the earth and the mountains but they refused to undertake it and they were concerned thereof but the human being undertook it. Truly he indeed was without wisdom, without knowledge.

But man bore it. Verily, he was unjust (to himself) and ignorant (of its results)

We offered the trust to Heaven and Earth, and to the mountains too, yet they refused to carry it, and shrank back from it. However man accepted it: he has been unfair [to himself], ignorant!

Verily, we proposed to the Heavens, and to the Earth, and to the Mountains to receive the Faith, but they refused the burden, and they feared to receive it. Man undertook to bear it, but hath proved unjust, senseless

We certainly offered the trust (probably the power of decision to obey or not to obey the orders of Allah) to the skies and the earth and the mountains, but they refused to bear it and became afraid of it, and man (undertook the responsibility of) bearing it (but) he was certainly unjust, ignorant,

We did indeed offer the trust to the heavens and the earth and the mountains, but they were unwilling to bear its burden and were apprehensive of it. And man bore that burden! He has indeed been unjust and ignorant

We displayed/presented the trust (choice between good and evil) on the skies/space and the earth/Planet Earth, and the mountains , so they refused/hated that (E) they bear/endure it , and they were cautious/afraid from it, and the human/mankind bore/endured it , that he truly was/is often unjust and oppressive, lowly/ignorant

Verily, We did offer the trust [of reason and volition] to the heavens, and the earth, and the mountains: but they refused to bear it because they were afraid of it. Yet man took it up - for, verily, he has always been prone to be most wicked, most foolish

Surely We presented (Literally: set before) the Trust (i.e., Trust of devotion) to the heavens and the earth and mountains. Yet they refused to carry it and felt timorous about it, and man carried it. Surely he has been constantly unjust, constantly ignorant

Lo! We offered the trust unto the heavens and the earth and the hills, but they shrank from bearing it and were afraid of it. And man assumed it. Lo! he hath proved a tyrant and a fool

We offered Our Trust (Our deputation) to the heavens, to the earth, and to the mountains, but they could not bear this burden and were afraid to accept it. Mankind was able to accept this offer but he was unjust to himself and ignorant of the significance of this Trust

We did offer the Trust to the heavens and the earth and the mountains, but they refused to bear its burden and were afraid of it, and man picked it up. Indeed he is unjust (to himself), unaware (of the end)

Indeed, We offered the Trust to the heavens, to the earth and to the mountains, but they refused to bear it and were apprehensive of it. Thus, man bore it. Indeed, he was iniquitous (towards himself) and ignorant (of the consequences)

Verily We offered the Trust to the heavens, to the earth, and to the mountains, but they declined the assignment and were apprehensive of it. And Man undertook it. Most surely he was unfair and ignorant.

We presented the Trust to the Heavens, the Earth and the mountains, but they declined to carry it since they were fearful; but humans decided to carry it – humans were wrong and ignorant of the demands –

Indeed, We offered the trust to the heavens and the earth and the mountains, but they ˹all˺ declined to bear it, being fearful of it. But humanity assumed it, ˹for˺ they are truly wrongful ˹to themselves˺ and ignorant ˹of the consequences˺,

We presented the trust to the heavens and the earth and the mountains, and they refused to bear it and were apprehensive about it, and man bore it, for he was transgressing and foolish.

We offered the Trust upon the skies, and the earth, and the mountains; so, they refused to carry it, and they were apprehensive of it; and the human carried it. Surely, he was an oppressor, ignorant.

Verily, We did offer the trust of compliance to the heavens, and the earth, and the mountains and they, being fearful, breach not what is entrusted upon them. Yet man, with his free will, is the only one who breaches this trust of compliance. For, verily, he wrongs himself without knowing it. (Haml = Accept or bear and = Betray the trust - Like Haram = Forbiddingly bad and = Sacred)

Surely We offered the trust to the heavens and the earth and the mountains, but they refused to be unfaithful to it and feared from it, and man has turned unfaithful to it; surely he is unjust, ignorant

Verily, WE have offered the trust of the Divine Law to the heavens and the earth and the mountains, but they refused to bear it and were afraid of it. But man bore it. Indeed, he is capable of being unjust to, and neglectful of, himself

Truly, We did offer the trust, duty and responsibility to the heavens, and the earth, and the mountains; But they refused to undertake it, because they were afraid of it: But man undertook it— Verily, he was being ignorant (and foolish about the responsibility)—

We offered the trust to Heaven and Earth, and to the mountains too, yet they refused to carry it, and shrank back from it. However man accepted it: he has been unfair [to himself], ignorant!

We offered the trust to the heavens, the earth, and the mountains, but they refused to bear it, fearing its consequences. However, man undertook it, being inherently unjust and ignorant.
