Quran 31 : 14

And We instructed man regarding his parents - his mother carried him with increasing weakness, and his weaning took two years: be grateful to Me and to your parents, to Me is the journey.

(Concerning his parents), We advised the man, whose mother bears him with great pain and breast-feeds him for two years, to give thanks to Me first and then to them, to Me all things proceed

We have enjoined man concerning his parents: His mother carried him through weakness upon weakness, and his weaning takes two years. Give thanks to Me and to your parents. To Me is the return

We appointed each person to honor parents. In labor and agony did one’s mother give birth and nursed him/her for two years. Show gratitude to Me and to your parents. To Me is your destiny.

And We have enjoined the human with his parents. His mother carried him weakness upon weakness, and his weaning in two years. That be thankful to Me, and to your parents, to Me the destiny is.

And We charged the human concerning his parents, for his mother bore him in weakness upon weakness, and his weaning was in two years. Be thankful to Me and to your parents, to Me is the arrival

And We have enjoined man concerning his parents—his mother bore him, weakness upon weakness, and his weaning was two years—give thanks unto Me and unto your parents. Unto Me is the journey’s end

For We have commended his parents to men - his mother bore him with travail upon travail; and it took two years to wean him - "Be thankful to Me and to your parents; for unto Me is the journeying

We have commanded people to be good to their parents: their mothers carried them, with strain upon strain, and it takes two years to wean them. Give thanks to Me and to your parents- all will return to Me

We have committed man about his parents. His mother carries him in her womb in weakness and debility, weaning him in two years. So he should be grateful to Me and his parents. To Me is the journeying back

And We have enjoined upon man concerning his parents- his mother conceived him in feebleness upon feebleness, and his weaning was in two seasons. Give thanks to Me and to your parents; to Me is the Destiny

We enjoined upon man his parents... His mother carried him in weakness upon weakness... And his weaning from breastfeeding is within two years... “Be grateful to Me and to your parents; to Me is the return!”

And We have enjoined upon man concerning his partners - His mother beareth him in weakness upon weakness, and his weaning is in two years - Give thanks unto Me and unto thy parents. Unto Me is the journeying

And We have commanded the human being to care for his parents. His mother carried him in weakness upon weakness, and his weaning is in two years. Be grateful to Me and to your parents; all will return to Me.

And We have enjoined (upon) man for his parents carried him his mother (in) weakness upon weakness and his weaning (is) in two years that Be grateful to Me and to your parents towards Me (is) the destination

And we have enjoined on man to be good to his parents -his mother bears him in weakness upon weakness, and his weaning takes two years - and said, `Give thanks to ME and thy parents. Unto ME is the final return

We have instructed man concerning his parents. Bearing him caused his mother great debility and the period of his weaning was two years: ´Give thanks to Me and to your parents. I am your final destination.

We have entrusted the human being with the care of his parents. His mother carried him through hardship upon hardship, weaning him in two years. So give thanks to Me, and to your parents. To Me is the destination

And We have enjoined on man concerning his parents -- his mother bears him with faintings upon faintings and his weaning takes two years -- saying: Give thanks to Me and to thy parents. To Me is the eventual coming

And We have stressed on man concerning his parents, his mother bore him undergoing weakness upon weakness and his weaning takes two years that give thanks to Me and to your parents. Lastly, the return is towards Me.

We have enjoined on human in respect with his parents: his mother bore him in strain upon strain, and his weaning was in two years. (So, O human,) be thankful to Me and to your parents. To Me is the final homecoming

And We have enjoined on man to (be kind & dutiful) to his parents. His mother bears him in atonality upon atonality, and his weaning takes two years. Be grateful to Me and to your parents. To Me is the journey’s end.

And We have exhorted the human being regarding his parents. His mother carried him in weakness upon weakness and his weaning is in two years. So offer gratitude to Me and to your parents, unto Me is the place of final coming.

And We charged the human being about ones who are his parents. His mother carried him in feebleness on feebleness and his weaning is in two years. Give thanks to Me and to ones who are thy parents. And to Me is the Homecoming.

And We have instructed man to be good to his parents. With hardship upon hardship did his mother bear him, and two years was his weaning. Hear the command, “Show gratitude to Me and to your parents, and to Me is your final goal

And We ordained upon man concerning his parents; his mother bore him enduring weakness upon weakness, and his suckling is up to two years – therefore be thankful to Me and to your parents; finally towards Me is the return

We have commanded man concerning his parents, -- his mother carrieth him in her womb with weakness and faintness, and he is weaned in two years, -- saying, be grateful unto Me, and to thy parents. Unto Me shall all come to be judged

We commanded every human to care for his parents; his mother carried him in pain during pregnancy, and breastfed him for nearly two years. So be thankful to Me and your parents, your destination is to Me.

And We have enjoined on man (to be good) to his parents: in travail upon travail did his mother bear him, and in years twain was his weaning: (hear the command), "Show gratitude to Me and to thy parents: to Me is (thy final) Goal

(We have commissioned (every)man to [look after] his parents: his mother bears him with one fainting spell after another fainting spell, while his weaning takes two years. Thank Me as well as your parents; towards Me lies the Destiney

And We have enjoined on man (to be dutiful and good) to his parents. His mother bore him in weakness and hardship upon weakness and hardship, and his weaning is in two years give thanks to Me and to your parents, unto Me is the final destination

We commanded man (to be good) in respect of his parents. His mother carried him (in her womb) despite weakness upon weakness, and his weaning is in two years. (We said to man,) .Be grateful to Me, and to your parents. To Me is the ultimate return

We enjoined the human being to honor his parents. His mother bore him, and the load got heavier and heavier. It takes two years (of intensive care) until weaning. You shall be appreciative of Me, and of your parents. To Me is the ultimate destiny.

And We have instructed human being about (being good to) his parents, his mother carried him (getting) weaker and weaker, and his weaning (off breastfeeding) is in two years. You should be thankful to Me and your parents. The final return is to Me.

And We have enjoined upon man [care] for his parents. His mother carried him, [increasing her] in weakness upon weakness, and his weaning is in two years. Be grateful to Me and to your parents; to Me is the [final] destination

We have made the (care of) parents incumbent upon man. His mother carried him through the fatigue (of pregnancy) followed by the hardship (of labor). And the weaning takes two (more) years. Thank Me and your parents. (Remember)! Towards Me is your return

And We have commanded man (to be good) to his parents: In weakness and hardship his mother bore him, and in two years (after) was his weaning: (So the command of Allah is), "Show thankfulness to Me and to your parents: To Me is (your final) Destination

And We emphatically enjoined upon man (to do good) to his parents—whose mother bore him (in her reproductive system) in pain after pain, and whose weaning also takes two years (and commanded him:) ‘Give thanks to Me and to your parents. (You) shall return to Me alone.

And We advised human-being about both of his parents; his mother bore him in weakness upon weakness, and the termination of his (motherly feeding) is in two years, that, adopt practical thankfulness for Me and for both of your parents; towards Me is the place of return

And We have enjoined on man regarding his parents, his mother carried him (in states of) weakness upon weakness, and his weaning (was completed) in two years, (so these obligations demand) that (you) be grateful to Me and to your parents, towards Me is the destination.

And We recommended/commanded the human with his parents, his mother carried/conceived/was pregnant (with) him weakness/feebleness on weakness/feebleness, and his weaning/separation in two years, that thank/be grateful to Me and to your parents, to Me (is) the end/destination

And We have commissioned man with a duty towards his parents — his mother bears him through weakness upon weakness and she feeds him on her milk for two years — that, (as Allah directs,) "Be grateful to Me and to your parents. To Me is the final destination."

`And (Allah says), "We have enjoined on every human being concerning his parents (to be good to them). His mother is worn and wasted in bearing him and it takes her two years to wean him. And give thanks to Me and to your parents. To Me shall be the (ultimate) return (of you all)

And We have enjoined on people (to be dutiful) to their parents. Each mother carries her child in her womb while suffering in weakness and hardship upon weakness and hardship, and then weans the child in 2 years that: “You give thanks to Me and to your parents, to Me is the final destination.

“And [God says:] ‘We have enjoined upon man goodness towards his parents: his mother bore him by bearing strain upon strain, and his utter dependence on her lasted two years: [hence, O man,] be grateful towards Me and towards thy parents, [and remember that] with Me is all journeys’ end

"(And O My dear son! Allah says) - We have ordained upon man goodness to his parents. His mother bore him by bearing strain upon strain, and his utter dependence on her lasted no less than two years. (2:233), (46:15). Hence, be grateful to Me and to your parents, and remember that your ultimate destination is with Me."

Now that the subject centers around the children’s’ obedience,] I have Myself made it a duty for the mankind to show the utmost respect toward his parents; especially the mother. She bears him while being always sick [due to the nature of the pregnancy.] Then it takes two years of intensive care of the mother so that the baby turns into a child. [That is why I say:] “Be grateful to your Lord and your parents.” Know that to Me is your return
