Quran 3 : 155

Those of you who fled on the day the two armies met did so because Satan made some of them err, but Allah has pardoned them; Allah is the Forgiver, the Gentle.

As for those of you who ran away on the day the two groups met, Satan humiliated them by their own actions. However, God has pardoned them. God is forgiving and forbearing.

For those who turned back on the day the two armies met, Satan caused them to stumble due to some of their deeds. But God has forgiven them. God is Forgiving and Forbearing.

Those of you who turned away the day the two hosts encountered -- Satan made them slip for somewhat they had earned; but God has pardoned them; God is All-forgiving, All-clement

Those among you who fled the battle ground were let to be possessed by Satan in account of some of their misdeeds. God, however, forgave them as He is the most forgiving, the Most Tolerant

Those who fled when the two armies met in opposition did this because Satan (illusion) provoked the false ideas they had formed. But Allah has forgiven them. Allah is the Ghafur, the Halim.

Those of you who turned away on the day the two hosts met—Satan alone made them slip because of part of what they committed. And God certainly pardoned them; truly God is Forgiving, Clement

Those of you who ran away on the day the two armies met¹ must have been seduced by Satan on account of some evil they had done. But now God has pardoned them; God is forgiving and lenient

Indeed, those of you who turned back on the day the two armies met, it was Satan who made them slip because of something they had done. And Allah did pardon them. Indeed! Allah is Forgiving, Kind

Those of you who turned away on the day when the two armies met must have been seduced by satan on account of some of what they had earned. But Allah has pardoned them. He is Forgiving and Clement

Those of you who turned back on the day the two armies met, Satan caused them to fail, because of some wrong they did, but God has deleted their faults, for God is Oft-Forgiving, Most Understanding

Those of you who turned away on the day when both troops met, were only tripped up by Satan because of something they had earned. However God has pardoned them, for God is Forgiving, Lenient."

Those of you who fled on the day when the two hosts met, only Satan had made them stumble because of some of their deeds. Certainly Allah has excused them, for Allah is all-forgiving, all-forbearing

Those of you who turned away on the day the two hosts met [in battle] were made to slip by Satan on account of some of their deeds. But God has pardoned them: God is forgiving and forbearing

Those amongst you who turned to flee when the two troops met, the devil wanted to make them slip on account of some of their deeds, and Allah has already let them off, for Allah is forgiving and gentle.

No doubt, those of you who turned back on the day when two armies met. It was Satan who made them slip because of their certain actions, and surely Allah forgave them. Verily, Allah is Forgiving, Gentle.

Those of you who turned away on the day that the two hosts met, it was the devil who caused them to slip due to some of what they had earned. And God has pardoned them, for God is Forgiver, Compassionate.

Those of you who turned their backs on the day the two armies clashed — it was Shaytan who made them slip for what they had done. But Allah has pardoned them. Allah is Ever-Forgiving, All-Forbearing.

Of a truth it was Satan alone who caused those of you to fail in duty who turned back on the day when the hosts met, for some of their doings! But now hath God pardoned them; For God is Forgiving, Gracious

God knows what the hearts contain. Because of some of your bad deeds, those of you who ran away, when you faced the enemy, were misled by Satan. God forgave you for He is All-forgiving and Forbearing."

Surely, those among you who turned back the day the two armies clashed have been duped by the devil. This reflects some of the (evil) works they had committed. GOD has pardoned them. GOD is Forgiver, Clement.

As for those of you who turned away on the day the two armies met in battle, it was Satan who caused them to slip, through some of their actions. God has now pardoned them: God is most forgiving and forbearing

As for those who retreated on the day that two armies were met, Satan caused them to fail because of some [sins] they had committed. Allah has certainly forgiven them. Truly, Allah is Most Forgiving, Most Tolerant.

Those of you who turned back on the day when the two armies clashed—it was Satan who caused them to backslide, on account of some of what they have earned. But God has forgiven them. God is Forgiving and Prudent

Indeed, those of you who turned back on the day when the two armies met, it was the devil who made them slip for some of that which they had earned. And surely God has pardoned them; indeed, God is forgiving, clement.

Those of you who turned back on the day the two hosts Met,-it was Satan who caused them to fail, because of some (evil) they had done. But Allah Has blotted out (their fault): For Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Forbearing

As for those of you who turned back on the day the two hosts met, it was the Satan who made them slip because of something they had earned; and of a surety Allah hath pardoned them. Verily, Allah is Forgiving, Forbearing

Truly, those of you who turned away on a day two multitudes met one another, only Satan caused them to slip back for some of what they earned. And, certainly, God pardoned them. Truly God is Forgiving, Forbearing.

Surely those of them who turned their backs on the day when the two armies met (at Uhud) did so because Satan made them slip because of some of their lapses. But Allah has pardoned them; He is All-Forgiving, All-Forbearing

Indeed those who turned back among you (on the) day met the two hosts only made them slip the Shaitaan for some (of) what they (had) earned And surely forgave Allah [on] them indeed Allah (is) Oft-Forgiving All-Forbearing

Verily, those of you who turned your backs on that day when the two armies met, it was but Satan who made them slip because of something they had earned. But Allah has now pardoned them; verily, Allah is Forgiving and Clement

Lo! those of you who turned back on the day when the two hosts met, Satan alone it was who caused them to backslide, because of some of that which they have earned. Now Allah hath forgiven them. Lo! Allah is Forgiving, Clement

Surely, those of you who turned back on the day when the two troops faced each other, Satan had but made them slip for some of their deeds. Of course, Allah has forgiven them. Certainly, Allah is Most-Forgiving, Very-Forbearing

Surely those from you who turned away on a day when the two gatherings met, surely was The Satan, only who slipped them with some with what they have earned. And already Allah has pardoned them. Surely Allah is Forgiver, A Clement.

Those of you who turned back on the day when the two armies met, only the devil sought to cause them to make a slip on account of some deeds they had done, and certainly Allah has pardoned them. Surely Allah is Forgiving, Forbearing

Indeed, those of you who turned back on the day the two armies met, it was Satan who caused them to slip because of some [blame] they had earned. But Allah has already forgiven them. Indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Forbearing

All those among you who turned their backs on the day the two armies clashed (at 'Uhud) were surely induced by Satan to fail in their duty because of their sinful deeds. But God has already forgiven them, for God is forgiving and kind

Those of you who turned away on the day when the two forces/armies encountered (in the battle of Ohod), indeed Satan made them stumble because of some of what they did, and God has certainly excused them. God is forgiving and patient.

Those of you who turned away on the day when the two hosts encountered (at Uhud), Satan made them slip because of some of the errors they themselves had committed. But now God has pardoned them. Surely God is All-Forgiving, All-Clement

Verily they among you who turned their backs on the day whereon the two armies met each other at Ohod, Satan caused them so slip, for some crime which they had committed: But now hath God forgiven them; for God is gracious and merciful

Truly those who turned in flight among you the day the two hosts met, it is only Satan that caused them to trip because of some of that which they perpetrated. Truly Allah had pardoned them. Truly Allah is Oft-Forgiving, All-magnanimous.

Indeed, those who fell back on the day when the two armies met- it was ‘Satan’ who caused them to backslide because of some of that which they had earned. Allâh has already forgiven them. Indeed, Allâh is Oft-Forgiving, Most Forbearing.

That those who turned away from you, a day/time the two groups/gatherings met, but the devil made them slip/fall/sin , with some/part (of) what they earned/gathered , and God had forgiven/pardoned on them, that God (is) forgiving, clement

Indeed those of you who turned back on the day when the two armies met - for it was the devil who caused them to waver, because of some of their deeds; and undoubtedly Allah has forgiven them; indeed Allah is Oft Forgiving, Most Forbearing

(As for) those of you who turned back on the day when the two armies met, only the Shaitan sought to cause them to make a slip on account of some deeds they had done, and certainly Allah has pardoned them; surely Allah is Forgiving, Forbearing

Certainly, those of you who fled on that day when the two armies engaged in fierce fighting were only caused by Satan to slip, owing to some act they had perpetrated. Allah pardoned them indeed. He is, of course, Most Forgiving, Most Forbearing

Surely those who fell back on the day when the two armies met- it was Satan who caused them to backslide because of some of that which they had earned. And Allâh has already forgiven them. Most certainly Allâh is Oft-Forgiving - Most Forbearing.

Those of you who turned back on the day the two armies met—, it was Satan who caused them to fail, because of some (evil) they had done. But Allah has removed (their evil deed): For Allah is Often Forgiving (Ghafoor), Most Forbearing (Haleem)

Those of you who turned their backs on the day when the two host met, surely it was Satan who sought to make them stumble because of certain doings of theirs. But certainly ALLAH has already pardoned them. Verily ALLAH is Most Forgiving, Forbearing

Those of you who turned back on the day the two armies met, it was certainly the devil alone who caused them to slip because of (the evil of) some (deeds) they had earned, but Allah has pardoned them, Allah is certainly Protectively Forgiving, Clement (Kind).

Certainly those who turned back amongst you, the day the two groups met: certainly it is that Satan caused them to backslide because of some which they had earned. And Indeed, Allah has forgiven them (their sins). Surely, Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most-Forbearing

Surely, those of you who turned their backs on the day when the 2 armies met (the battle of Uhud); only Satan made them slip (run away from the battle) for some sins which they had earned. But indeed, Allah has forgiven them. Surely, Allah is Forgiving, Forbearing.

Indeed, those who turned away (from their duty) on the day the two armies met each other did so because, as a result of the deeds they had committed, Shaitan caused them to slip and stumble,. But now Allah has pardoned them. Allah is oft Forgiving, the most Forbearing

Those of you, who turned back on that day when the two armies clashed, it was their selfish desire which caused them to backslide. This happened because of their imperfections. Allah pardoned them (since their good outweighed their shortcomings). Allah is Forgiving, Forbearing

Those of you who turned back on the day the two hosts met (i.e. the battle of Uhud), it was Shaitan (Satan) who caused them to backslide (run away from the battlefield) because of some (sins) they had earned. But Allah, indeed, has forgiven them. Surely, Allah is OftForgiving, Most Forbearing

Behold, as for those of you who turned away [from their duty] on the day when the two hosts met in battle - Satan caused them to stumble only by means of something that they [themselves] had done. But now God has effaced this sin of theirs: verily, God is much-forgiving, forbearing

Surely the ones of you who turned away the day the two gatherings encountered, surely it was only that Ash-shaytan (The ever-vicious, i.e., the Devil) made them slide back for some of that which they had earned; and Allah has indeed already been clement towards them. Surely Allah is Ever-Forgiving, Ever-Forbearing

Surely, those of you who turned their backs on the day when two armies met (in the battlefield of Uhud) it was satan indeed who sought to seduce them (to do so) without any intention on their part because of certain other doings of theirs, and most certainly Allah has already pardoned them. Verily, Allah is Great Protector, Ever Forbearing
