Quran 27 : 47

They said: We augur evil of thee and those with thee. He said: Your evil augury is with Allah; nay, you are a people who are tried

They said: we see a bad omen in you and those with you. He said: your bad omen is with Allah, but you are being tried as a people.

They said, 'We consider you a bad omen, and those with you.' He said, 'Your omen is with God; nay, you are a people being tested.'

They said: we augur ill of thee and of those who are with thee. He said: your augury is with Allah. Aye! ye are a people being tested

They said, “We augur ill of you and of those with you.” He said, “Your auguring ill is with God. Rather, you are a people being tried.

They said: We augur evil of thee and those with thee. He said: Your evil augury is with Allah. Nay, but ye are folk that are being tested

They said, .We regard you and those with you as a sign of bad omen. He said, .Your omen is with Allah, but you are a people put to a test

They responded, “We see ill omens in you and those with you.” He replied, “Your omens are determined by God; you are a people under test.”

They said, “We augur ill omen from you and from those with you.” He said, “Your ill omen is with Allah. Nay! You are a people under trial.”

They said, “We consider you and those with you as a bad omen.” He said, “Your bad omen is with Allah. Yes, you are a people being tested.”

They said, 'We augur ill of thee and of those that are with thee.' He said, 'Your augury is with God; nay, but you are a people being proved.

They said: "You have an ill omen with you and those with you." He said: "Your ill omen is with God, but you are a people who are being tested.

They said, "We consider you to be a bad omen, you and those with you." He said, "Your omen is with God. Rather, it is you who are being tested."

They said: “We consider you and anyone with you as bad omen.” He said: “Your bad omen is from God, but you are a (group of) people being tested.”

They said: “We consider bad luck from you and those with you.” He said: “Your luck is with Allah; in fact, you are a people that are being tested.”

They said, “A bad omen do we predict from you and those who are with you.” He said, “Your bad omen is with God. Yes, you are a people being tested.

They said, 'we took a bad omen from you and from your companions. He said, 'your bad omen is with Allah, rather your people are lying in temptation.

They said: 'We predict an evil omen from you and those who are with you. ' He replied: 'Your prediction is with Allah, you are a nation being tested.

They said: We auger ill of thee and whoever is with thee. He said: That which is your omen is with God. Nay! You are a folk who are being tried.

They said, 'We consider you an ill omen, and those with you.' He said, 'Your omen is with God. In fact, you are a people being tested.'

They said, “Our evil bird omen is with you, and with whoever with you.” He said, “Your bird omen is with Allah. Nay, but you are an infatuated kinfolk.”

They said We consider you a bad omen We consider you a bad omen and those with you He said Your bad omen (is) with Allah Nay you (are) a people being tested

They said, We see you and your followers as an evil omen. He replied, No, your evil omen is with God; the truth is that you are a people being put to the test

They said, "We consider you a bad omen, you and those with you." He said, "Your omen is with Allah . Rather, you are a people being tested."

They said, "We take you and those with you as portents of evil!" Salih said, "Your portents rest with Allah. Nay, you are a people on trial!"

They said, "We have an ill omen about you and your followers." Salih replied, God has made your ill fortune await you. You are a people on trial."

They said, 'We have taken an augury concerning thee and those who are with thee.' Said he, 'Your augury is in God's hands; nay, but ye are a people who are tried!

They said, `We augur ill of thee and of those that are with thee.' He said, `The true cause of your ill-fortune is with ALLAH, but you are a people who are on trial.

They said, “Because of you and your followers we have been subject to an evil omen.” (Salih) said, “Your evil omen is with Allah... No, you are a people being tried.”

They said, “We have met with ill luck because of you and because of those with you." He said, “Your ill luck is with Allah, no, you are a people who are being tested.”

They said: "Ill omen do we augur from thee and those that are with thee". He said: "Your ill omen is with Allah; yea, ye are a people under trial."

They said: "We augur ill omen from you and those with you." He said: "Your ill omen is with Allah; nay, but you are a people that are being tested."

They said, “We feel uneasy about you and those with you.” He said, “Your feeling of unease rests with Allah. The fact is that, as a people, you are being tested.”

They replied, “You and your followers are a bad omen for us.” He responded, “Your omens are destined by Allah. In fact, you are ˹only˺ a people being tested.”

They said: "We foresee bad sign from you, and from those who are with you." He said: "Your bad sign is with Allah; Yes, you are a people under trial."

They said, ‘We take for a bad omen you and those who are with you.’ He said, ‘Your bad omens are with Allah. Rather you are a people being tested.’

They said, “We consider you an evil omen, and your companions”; he said, “Your evil omen is with Allah - in fact you people have fallen into trial.”

They said, "We auger evil of you and those who are with you. Said he, "Your augury is in Allah´s hands; nay, but you are a people who are being tested."

They said, ´We see you, and those with you, as an evil omen.´ He said, ´No, your evil omen is with Allah; you are merely a people undergoing a trial.´

They said: "Shall we take it as an omen from you and from someone who is with you?" He said; "Your fate depends on Allah (God); in fact, you are a folk who will be tested."

They said, "We consider you and those with you as portents of evil." (Saleh) replied, "Your ill omen is with Allah! In fact, you are a nation being tested."

They said, ‘We see you and your fol-lowers as an evil omen.’ He replied, ‘God will decide on any omen you may see: you people are being put to the test.’

They said,"We augur ill concerning thee and those who are with thee." He said, "The ills of which ye augur depend on God. But ye are a people on your trial."

They said, "We consider you a bad omen for us, you and those who joined you." He said, "Your omen is fully controlled by GOD. Indeed, you are deviant people."

They said: We have met with ill luck on account of you and on account of those with you. He said: The cause of your evil fortune is with Allah; nay, you are a people who are tried

They said: "We augur ill of you and those who are with you." Salih replied: "Your augury is with Allah. The truth is that you are a people who are being tried."

They said: "Shall we take it as an omen from you and from someone who is with you?" He said; "Your fate depends on God; in fact, you are a folk who will be tested."

They said: ‘You have caused us misfortune, and so have your companions.’ (Salih) said: ‘(The cause of) your misfortune is (written) with Allah; you people have rather been put to trial.

They answered: “We augur evil from thee and those that follow thee!” Said he: “Your destiny, good or evil, rests with God yea, you are people undergoing a test!”

They said: "We augur bad omen from your part and from those who chose to convert to your faith. He said: "Your evil augury is with Allâh. You are a people who are led into temptation.”

They said: ‘We presage evil from you and from those who are with you.‘ He said: ‘The evil you presage can come only from God; you are a people put to the proof.‘

They answered, "We consider you, and your companions a bad omen for us." He said, "Your omen is determined by Allah's Laws. Nay, you are but a folk who are being tested."

They said: "We augur bad omen from your part and from those who chose to follow you”. He said: "Allâh has made Your evil augury await you. You are a people who keep falling into temptation”.

They said, "We augur ill of you and of (the ones) who are with you." He said, "Your bird (of) augury is in the Providence of Allah. No indeed, (but) you are a people being tempted."

They said: "You betoken evil, and those with you." (Saleh) replied: "The evil you presage can only come from God. In reality you are a people under trial (for your own inauspiciousness)."

They said: “We augured ill omen from you and whoever is with you.” He said: “Your (belief about) ill omen is (under record) with Allah; nay, you are a people put under test and trial.”

They said: "We had a bad omen with you (you are a bad omen to us), and with whom (is) with you." He said: "Your omen (fate/future is) at God, but you are a nation being tested/misguided ."

They answered, we presage evil from thee, and from those who are with thee. Saleh replied, the evil which ye presage is with God: But ye are a people who are proved by a vicissitude of prosperity and adversity

They said: "We augur ill of you and those who are with you." (Salih) answered: "What you describe as augury is (something ordained) by God. But the truth is that you are a people who are being tried."

They said: “You are a bad omen [for the simple reason that we were one nation at “peace” before you.] Saleh replied: “This [bad or good] omen [that you are talking about] is a mean by which God has put you in trial

They said, `We have suffered due to you and your companions.' (Salih) said, `Your deeds and true cause of your sufferings is with Allah (Who is punishing you for your evil deeds). Nay, you are a people who are being tried (to distinguish the good of you from the bad)
