He said: "My people, why do you hasten with evil ahead of good? If you would only seek the forgiveness of God, perhaps you will receive mercy.

Salih said, ‘My people, why do you rush to bring [forward] what is bad rather than good? Why do you not ask forgiveness of God, so that you may be given mercy?’

He said: “O my people! Why do you seek to hasten the evil (Allah’s punishment) before the good (Allah’s Mercy)? Why don’t you seek the forgiveness of Allah, so that you may be treated with mercy?”

He said: O my people! wherefore seek ye to hasten the evil before the good? Wherefore ask ye not forgiveness of Allah, that haply ye may be shewn mercy

(Saleh) said: "O people, why do you wish to hasten evil rather than good? Why not ask for God's forgiveness? You may well be forgiven."

(Salih) said, “O my people! Why do you hasten on the bad rather than the good? Will it not be better for you to repent to Allah so you may be shown mercy?”

Saleh said, 'O my people, why you hasten the evil before the good'? Why do you not ask forgiveness of Allah haply you may be shown mercy?

He said, ´My people, why are you so anxious to hasten the bad before the good? If only you would ask for forgiveness from Allah, so that mercy might perhaps be shown to you.´

He (Salih) said (to them): "O my people! Why do you seek to hasten the coming (upon you) of evil instead of good? Why do you not seek God’s forgiveness for your sins so that you may be shown mercy (to be granted a good, virtuous life in the world and eternal happiness in the Hereafter)?"

He said, ‘O My people! Why do you press for evil sooner than for good? Why do you not plead to Allah for forgiveness so that you may receive His mercy?’

He said, `O my people! why do you seek to hasten on evil, rather than good, (and you ask for a sign of destruction instead of that of bliss for you)? Why do you not ask for Allah's protection so that you may be shown mercy?

He said, 'O my people, why do you seek to hasten evil before good? Why do you not ask forgiveness of God? Haply so you will find mercy.

He said: “My people, why do you rush to badness before goodness, why do you not ask forgiveness from God, so that you may receive mercy?”

Saleh said: “ My people, why do you rush into committing sins instead of doing good deeds? Repent and ask God for forgiveness; may He have mercy on you

He said, “O my people, why do you hasten on harm before good? Why do you not ask God for forgiveness, that you may receive mercy

He said O my people Why (do) you seek to hasten the evil before the good Why not you ask forgiveness (of) Allah so that you may receive mercy

He said: “O my nation! Why do you hasten in evil before good? Why don’t you ask Allah for forgiveness so that you: you may be showered mercy ?

he said: O my folk! Why seek you to hasten the evil deed before benevolence? Why ask you not for forgiveness of God so that perhaps you will find mercy?

(Salih) said: ‘O my people, why do you hasten the evil (i.e., torment) before the good (i.e., mercy)? Why do you not ask for forgiveness from Allah so that you are shown mercy?

(Saleh) said, "Oh my people, why do you postpone the good, while you hasten to do evil? Why don´t you seek forgiveness from Allah? You may be granted mercy!"

Said he, 'O my people! why do ye hasten on evil acts before good deeds? why do ye not ask forgiveness of God? haply ye may obtain mercy.

He said, “O my people, why do you hasten upon the evil before the good? Why do you not seek forgiveness from Allah? Perhaps there may be mercy upon you.”

He said, “O my people! Why are you prompted to the evil before the good? If only you seek forgiveness from Allah perhaps you may receive mercy.”

Saleh said, O my people, why do ye hasten evil rather than good? Unless ye ask pardon of God, that ye may obtain mercy, ye are lost

Said he, "O my people! Why do you hasten on evil rather than good? Why do you not ask forgiveness of Allah that you may obtain mercy."

'My nation, ' he said, 'why do you wish to hasten evil rather than good? Why do you not ask the forgiveness of Allah, in order that you find mercy?

He said: "O my people! Why do you seek to hasten the evil (torment) before the good (Allahs Mercy)? Why seek you not the Forgiveness of Allah, that you may receive mercy?"

He said: "My people, why do you hasten towards evil rather than something fine? If you only sought forgiveness from Allah (God), you might find mercy."

He said, "O my people, why, if ye ask not pardon of God that ye may find mercy, hasten ye on evil rather than good?"

He said, “O my people, why do you want to hurry the evil in preference to the good? Why not ask Allah for forgiveness so you may receive mercy?”

Salih said: "My people, why do you wish to hasten that evil rather than good should come upon you? Why should you not seek pardon from Allah so that mercy be shown to you?"

He said: O my people, who do you hasten on the evil before the good? Why do you not ask forgiveness of Allah so that you may have mercy

He said, “O my people! why do you seek to hasten on the evil before the good, why do you not seek protective forgiveness of Allah that you may be dealt with mercifully?”

Salih said, "O my people! Why do you hasten for the evil to come upon you before the good? Why do you not ask for forgiveness from Allah, so that you might be treated with mercy?"

He said: "You my nation, why (do) you hasten/urge with the sin/crime before the good/goodness? If only you ask God for forgiveness, maybe/perhaps you attain mercy."

Said [Salih to the erring ones]: Why do you seek to hasten the coming upon you of evil instead of hoping for the good?” Why do you not, rather, ask God to forgive you your sins, so that you might be graced with His mercy?”

He said, "O my people, why do you seek to hasten odious (deeds) before fair (ones)? Had you asked forgiveness from Allah, possibly you would be (offered) mercy!"

He said: O my people! Why will ye hasten on the evil rather than the good? Why will ye not ask pardon of Allah, that ye may receive mercy

Salih said, "My people, why do you commit sins so quickly before doing good? Would that you ask forgiveness from God so that perhaps He will have mercy upon you."

He said, .My people, why do you seek evil to come sooner before good? Why do you not seek forgiveness from Allah, so that you are treated with mercy?

He said: "O’ my people, why do you hasten to commit evil deed rather than doing righteous good deed? Why do you not ask forgiveness of Allâh so that you may be delivered from the consequences of your sins”

He said: "O’ my people, why do you seek to hasten on the evil before than good? Why do you not ask forgiveness of Allâh so that you may be delivered from the consequences of your iniquitous deeds.”

Salih said, “My people, why are you in a rush to do evil rather than good? If you would only seek Allah’s forgiveness, you will be shown kindness.”

He urged ˹the disbelieving group˺, “O my people! Why do you ˹seek to˺ hasten the torment rather than grace? If only you sought Allah’s forgiveness so you may be shown mercy!”

He said: oh my people, why do you hasten the bad before the good? Why don´t you ask Allah for forgiveness in order to receive mercy?

‘My people,‘ he said, ‘why do you wish to hasten evil rather than good? If you seek forgiveness of God, you may be shown mercy.‘

He said, "O my people, why do you hasten to commit evil instead of good works? If only you implore GOD for forgiveness, you may attain mercy."

He said, "My people, why are you so anxious to rush towards evil instead of to good? Why you do not ask God for forgiveness, so that maybe you will receive mercy?"

He said, “O kinfolk, why are you hastening with the bad deed before the excelled deed? If only you would seek Allah’s forgiveness, perhaps you may be mercified.”

Saleh said, "O My people! Why do you hasten to commit evil instead of doing good? Why do you not (mend your ways and) ask Allah to forgive you, so that you may become worthy of His Mercy?"

He said: O my people! why do you seek to hasten on the evil before the good? Why do you not ask forgiveness of Allah so that you may be dealt with mercifully

He said, `O my people, why do you seek to hasten on evil rather than good? Wherefore do you not ask forgiveness of ALLAH that you may be shown mercy?

He said: "O my people! Why do you hurry to evil rather than the good? If you only ask Allah for forgiveness, you can (still) hope to receive (His) mercy."

He said: "My people, why do you hasten towards evil rather than something fine? If you only sought forgiveness from God, you might find some mercy."

He pleaded, “O my people, why do you rush towards evil rather than good? If you only sought God’s forgiveness, you might be shown mercy.”

He said, 'O my people, why are you quick to do evil rather than good? If only you would seek God's forgiveness, so that you may be shown mercy.'

He said, “O my people! Why do you seek to hasten evil before good? Why do you not seek Forgiveness of God, that haply you may be shown mercy?

He said, 'O my people! Why do you hasten on the evil before the good? Why do you not ask forgiveness of God? Perhaps you may obtain mercy.'

He said, "O my people, why are you impatient for evil instead of good? Why do you not seek forgiveness of Allah that you may receive mercy?"

He urged them, O my people, why do you wish to hasten on the evil rather than the good? Why do you not ask forgiveness of God, so that you may be shown mercy

He said: "O my people! why ask ye to hasten on the evil in preference to the good? If only ye ask Allah for forgiveness, ye may hope to receive mercy
