Quran 26 : 137

This has been happening all along

This is but a tale of the ancients

This is but a myth of the ancients

This in but a custom of the ancients

This is but a fable of the men of old

For there is only the first creation.

“These are only the fables of the past!”

This is nothing but old folks' fictions,

This is just a habit of antiquated people

This is nothing but morals of the ancients

This is only what the previous peoples did.

That is nothing but a habit of the ancients

This is naught but a custom of the ancients

this is nothing but a habit of the ancients

This has been our life-style for generations

This is naught but the ethos of those of old

this is nothing but the habit of the ancients

this is only what our forefathers used to do.

for we only do what our forefathers used to do

these are the customs of the past generations.

`This is nothing but the habit of the ancients

This is nothing but the practice of the ancient

Surely this is none, except the formers’ mores.

This is nothing but the customs of the ancients.

This is not but the same habits of the ancients.

This is naught but a fabrication of the ancients

This is not but the custom of the former peoples

"This is nothing but the fable of men of old

This is nothing but the tradition of the ancients.

This is simply the tradition of our predecessors.

"That affliction was limited to our ancestors.

This is nothing but the traditions of the ancients.

These are nothing but the traditions of the ancients

This is only a fabrication [made up] by primitive men;

“This is nothing but a custom of the former peoples.

“This is no other than a custom of those who came before

Not (is) this but (the) custom (of) the former (people)

This is nothing but a customary (warning) of the ancient,

"This is nothing except an invention by the people of old.

This which thou preachest is only a device of the ancients

Truly, this is nothing but morals of the ancient ones

this is only the character (way of life) of the earlier ones,

`This way (of admonition) is merely the manner of the ancients

This is only a fabrication [made up] by primitive men;

"This is no other than a customary device of the ancients

This is no other than the custom and tradition of the ancients,

"These are merely the fantasies of the earlier folks!"

“This is nothing but the tradition of former people.”

That truly that (is) except the first's/beginner's nature/character

this is nothing but old folks' fictions, for we shall not be tormented!

"This is nothing but practice/custom of the earlier peoples."

Decidedly this is nothing except the character of the earliest (people)

"This (what we do) is the pattern of conduct of (all our) predecessors

This (our faith) is no other than the custom and tradition of the ancients,

"This is nothing different from the customary actions of the ancient (people)

This [religion of ours] is none other than that to which our forebears clung

your preaching is nothing but ancient legends and we shall not face any torment"

It is nothing (else) but the habits (and customs) of the ancients (which we cannot abandon)

This (counselling which you have uttered before us is) nothing but the practices of the initial people

“The punishment that you are talking about was meant only to our ancestors.” (This attitude is manifested today by the Jews and the Christian who believe that God has promised not to be angry after the Noah’s flood as mentioned in Genesis 9:11.
