Quran 21 : 3

There does not come to them (anything) new from the reminder of their Fosterer but they hear it while playing,

Their minds being close to truth, they say among themselves: “Do you believe in what this mortal (Mohammad) is saying? …

Their hearts distracted, the wrongdoers confer secretly, 'Is this anything but a mortal like you? Will you take to sorcery, with open-eyes?'

Diverted their hearts. And those who do wrong discourse secretly, 'Is this except a mortal like you? Will you then approach the magic while you see?'

Their hearts are distracted and the wrongdoers meet secretly saying: is this not a human like you? Are you going to give in to the spell when you can see?

Their hearts are preoccupied, and those who are wicked confer privately: "Is he not but a human being like you? Would you accept this magic while you know?"

With their hearts preoccupied, the wrongdoers confide in private: “Isn’t he just a man like you? Are you going to yield to magic while you can clearly see?”

With hearts preoccupied. And they confer in secret. The wrong-doers say: Is this other than a mortal like you? Will ye then succumb to magic when ye see (it)

diverted their hearts. The evildoers whisper one to another, 'Is this aught but a mortal like to yourselves? What, will you take to sorcery with your eyes open?

Their hearts trifling. And they -- the wrongdoers -- counsel in secret: He is nothing but a mortal like yourselves; will you then yield to enchantment while you see

their hearts are diverted. The harmdoers mutter to one another: 'Is this anything else but a human like yourself? What, will you follow sorcery with your eyes open?

Their hearts have fallen in sport. And the unjust counselled among themselves secretly; that who is this, he is only a man like you? Do you go to magic while you see?

Their minds are heedless. And the transgressors confer secretly: "Is he not just a human being like you? Would you accept the magic that is presented to you?"

Their minds are lost in frivolous pastimes; and the evil-doers discuss secretly: "Is he not but only a man like you? Then why are you taken in by magic seeingly?"

their hearts are distracted and forgetful. The wrongdoers confer together secretly, saying, Is not this man a mortal like you? Will you succumb to magic with your eyes open

Their hearts trifling; and those who are unjust counsel together in secret: He is nothing but a mortal like yourselves; what! will you then yield to enchantment while you see

While their hearts were distracted. The wrongdoers conceal their private meetings saying, “Is he more than a human like yourselves? Will you follow illusions with your eyes open?

Their hearts are involved in play; and the unjust secretly conferred, "What is he, except another a human like you?! So do you follow magic although you have perceived?"

Distracted their hearts And they conceal the private conversation those who [they] wronged Is this except a human being like you So would you approach the magic while you see (it)

and their hearts make sport thereof! And those who do wrong discourse secretly (saying), 'Is this man aught but a mortal like yourselves? will ye accede to magic, while ye can see?

Just to serve as a distraction for their minds. And the wicked people secretly whisper, "Is he not just a man like you? Will you then knowingly yield to the magic spell?"

their hearts paying no heed. And the wrongdoers whisper in secret, .This one is nothing but a mortal like you. Would you then go along with sorcery while you can see (the reality)?

Their cores were amused, and they secreted the private conversation, those who oppressed, “Is this except a humankind like you? So, will you come to the magic, and you are seeing?”

with their hearts diverted. And those who do wrong confide in secret converse, “Is this not but a human being like yourselves? Will you then yield to sorcery, while you see clearly?

their hearts are set on pleasure. In private the wrongdoers say to each other: ‘Is this man not a mortal like yourselves? Would you follow witchcraft with your eyes open?‘

their hearts distracted. Those who do wrong consult together privately; "Isn’t this [man] just a human being like yourselves? Will you succumb to magic while you can see it happening?"

Their minds absorbed in pleasures, the evil doers whisper under their breaths, "Isn´t he just a human being like you all? Will you then, succumb to his magic knowingly?"

with frivolous hearts. The evildoers conferred in secret: ‘Is this man anything but a mortal like yourselves? Are you going to fall under his spell with your eyes wide open?’

Their hearts are preoccupied, and those who do wrong keep the private talk secret (saying:) “Is this but a human being like you? Do you give in to the magic while you see (and realize)?”

Their hearts have become neglectful and (these) wrongdoers whisper (against you) inaudibly: ‘He is but a human being like you. Do you (even then) submit to (his) magic whilst you can see?

Their minds are frivolously distracted. In secret counsel, the unjust discuss, “Is this [the Prophet] not only a mortal like any of you? Will you wittingly yield to [his] magical charm?”

In sport being their hearts. And those who do wrong keep secret their private discourse this is but a human being like unto yourselves; will ye then betake yourselves to magic while ye know

their hearts distracted by worldly activities. In private the evildoers say, “Isn’t he just a man like you? Are you going to follow the magic of Muhammad with your eyes open?”

Their hearts set on lusts: and they who have done this wrong say in secret discourse, "Is He more than a man like yourselves? What! will ye, with your eyes open, accede to sorcery?"

They are consumed by entertainment! Those who wrong themselves whisper among one another, “Is he not a mortal like you? Will you succumb to his magical words when you can see the truth of it?”

with their hearts distracted. Those bent on wrongdoing conceal their private conversation, [saying], "Is he not [Muhammad] just a man like you? Do you succumb to magic with your eyes wide open?"

Their hearts playing with petty things, the wrongdoers hide their private talk: "Is this (human, the Prophet) more than a man like yourselves? Will you go into magic while you can see?"

Their hearts toying as with trifles. The wrong-doers conceal their private counsels, (saying), "Is this (one) more than a man like yourselves? Will ye go to witchcraft with your eyes open?"

And their hearts are forgetful. And they - the wrongdoers - confer together in secret and say, `Is this man aught but a mortal like yourselves? Will you then yield to his sorcery with your eyes open?

Their hearts are distracted. Those who do wrong confer together secretly, saying, ´Is this man anything but a human being like yourselves? Do you succumb to magic with your eyes wide open?´

their hearts being set on other concerns. The wrong-doers whisper to one another: "This person is no more than a mortal like yourselves. Will you, then, be enchanted by sorcery while you see?"

With their hearts preoccupied with fleeting delights, the wrongdoers confer secretly, "Is he not just a human being like you? Will you yield to his spellbinding eloquence with your eyes open?"

their hearts distracted. Those who do wrong consult together privately; "Isn´t this [man] just a human being like yourselves? Will you succumb to magic while you can see it happening?"

their hearts set on diversions. The wrongdoers secretly whisper together, [saying], ‘Is not this [man] just a human being like yourselves? Will you give in to magic with open eyes?’

Their heart trifling with it (or pre-occupied elsewhere). And those who do wrong discourse secretly, saying, "Is this man aught but a mortal like yourselves? Will you succumb to magic with open eyes?"

being ones whose hearts are ones that are diverted, and they kept secret, conspiring secretly those who did wrong? Is this other than a mortal like you? Then, will you approach sorcery while you perceive?

Their hearts are idle and those who have wronged their own souls hold a secret counsel among themselves saying, “Is this anything but a mortal human like you? Will you then yield to the magic while you see plainly?”

In a light mood their hearts are occupied (with evil things), and they conceal the private counsels, those who do wrong (say): “Is this (Muhammad) but a human being like you? Will you submit to magic while you see it?”

With their hearts occupied (with evil things) those who do wrong, conceal their private counsels, (saying): "Is this (Muhammad SAW) more than a human being like you? Will you submit to magic while you see it?"

and their hearts are preoccupied with trivial matters. The unjust ones whisper to each other and say, "Is he (Muhammad) more than a mere mortal like you? How can you follow that which you know is only a magic?"

Their hearts/minds are being distracted and they kept the confidential talk secret, those who caused injustice/oppression, is that except (a) human similar/equal to you? Do you do the magic/sorcery and you are seeing/understanding

Diverted (are) their hearts. The ones who do injustice confer in secret among themselves, "Is this nothing except a mortal like yourselves? Will you then take to sorcery while you are beholding?" (i.e., with your eyes wide open)

With their hearts distracted. And those who do wrong conceal their private conversation, [saying], "Is this [Prophet] except a human being like you? So would you approach magic while you are aware [of it]?"

Their hearts are taken up with delights. And they who act unjustly discourse privately together, saying, is this Mohammed any more than a man like yourselves? Will ye therefore come to hear a piece of sorcery, when ye plainly perceive it to be so

with their hearts ˹totally˺ distracted. The evildoers would converse secretly, ˹saying,˺ “Is this ˹one˺ not human like yourselves? Would you fall for ˹this˺ witchcraft, even though you can ˹clearly˺ see?”

With hearts set on passing pleasures; yet those who lead in wrongdoing, especially by associating partners with God, confer among themselves in great secret: "Is this (not) but a mortal like you? Will you, then, yield to magic while you see it patently?"

Their hearts are preoccupied (with lusts). Those who are grossly unfair and morally wrong prefer to confer among themselves in secret. (They say): "Is this (Muhammad) not but a human being like you? Will you then yield to (his) sorcery while you are aware of (it)?”

While their minds are inattentive. Those of them who have transgressed the limits, keep their counsels (against the Prophet of their time) secret (and say), `He is only a human being like yourselves. Will you be seduced by his skillful eloquence while you see and know?

their hearts set on passing delights; yet they who are [thus] bent on wrongdoing conceal their innermost thoughts [when they say to one another], “Is this [Muhammad] anything but a mortal like yourselves? Will you, then, yield to [his] spellbinding eloquence with your eyes open?”

Their hearts (are such) that stay in heedlessness. Those who transgressed concealed their secret discussion (when they said): “What is this (one), except a human like you? Will you then approach magic (through this sorcerer) while you do see (its ‘dangerous’ effects on those who give sincere attention to him)?

Their hearts are preoccupied (with lusts). Those who have voluntarily and consciously abandoned the Full Knowledge of the Truth in favour of their own whims prefer to confer among themselves in secret. (They ask): ‘Is this (Muhammad) no more than a human being like you? Will you then yield to (his) sorcery while you are aware of (it)?’
