Quran 14 : 45

And you lived in the homes of those who wronged themselves and it was clear to you how We dealt with them and We coined examples for you.

Remember that you live in the same land that its people wronged their souls. You know exactly how I punished them. Learn from such examples

You lived in the dwellings of those who wronged themselves, and it was clear to you how We dealt with them, and how We struck parables for you

And you dwell in the abodes of those who wronged themselves, and it is clear to you how We dealt with them and We made (them) examples for you

You lived in the dwellings of those who wronged their own selves, although it was clear to you how We dealt with them and made examples for you.

And you inhabited the homes of those who wronged themselves, and it became clear to you how We dealt with them, and We cited for you the examples

You lived in the dwellings of those who wronged themselves, and it was made clear to you how We had dealt with them and We gave you many examples

And you lived among the dwellings of those who wronged themselves! It was explained to you how We dealt with them... And We presented examples to you.

You inhabited the homes of those who wronged themselves, and it became clear to you how We treated them. And We have illustrated for you the examples.

You have inhabited the dwellings of those who wronged themselves; it was explained to you how We had dealt with them, and We made up parables for you.)

You have inhabited the dwellings of those who wronged themselves; it was explained to you how We had dealt with them, and We made up parables for you.)

“And you lived in the dwellings of people who wronged their own souls. You were clearly shown how We dealt with them, and We put forth parables for you.

And ye dwelt in the dwellings of those who had wronged themselves; and it was made plain to you how we did with them; and we struck out parables for you

And you dwelt in the dwellings of those who wronged themselves, and it became clear to you how We dealt with them, and We put forth for you the examples

You have lived in the same places as those who wronged themselves, and it had become clear to you how We dealt with them and We gave you many examples."

And you resided in the residents of those who oppressed themselves, and it demonstrated to you how We did with them, and We cited for you the examples.

You lived in the homes of those who had wronged themselves, so you clearly knew what We had done with them, and We had made them examples for you.

And you dwell in the abodes of those who were unjust to themselves, and it is clear to you how We dealt with them and We have made (them) examples to you

You dwelled in the homes of those before you, who wronged their souls, and you have seen clearly what we did to them. We have set many precedents for you.

And you dwelt in the dwellings of those who had wronged themselves; and it was made clear to you how We did with them; and we struck out parables for you.

You lived in the dwellings of those who wronged themselves, even though it was made clear to you how We dealt with them. We also showed you examples."

And you dwelt in the dwelling-places of those who wronged themselves, and it became clear to you how We did with them, and how We struck similitudes for you

And you dwelt in the dwellings (of) those who wronged themselves and it had become clear to you how We dealt with them and We put forth for you the examples

You lived in the same places as others who wronged themselves before, and you were clearly shown how We dealt with them––We gave you many examples

And you lived in the residences of those who wronged themselves and it was clear to you how We had dealt with them. And We (even) put forth examples for you.”

`And you dwell in the dwellings of those who wronged themselves and it has become plain to you how WE dealt with them; and WE set forth clear parables for you.

And you had lived where those, who had transgressed against themselves, lived. And it was clear to you how We had dealt with them. And We had given you examples

Andyou resided in the dwellings of those who had wronged themselves, and it was made clear to you what We did to them; and We had put forth the examples for you.

And you settled down in the dwellings of those who did evil to them selves and it was clear to you, how We did with them and We explained to you giving examples.

And you settled in the dwellings of those who had wronged themselves, though it was made clear to you how We dealt with them, and We set forth for you the parables

"And you lived in the houses of men who harmed their own souls; And it was clear how We dealt with them; And We set out (many) parables to properly warn!"

Yet you dwelt in the dwellings of those who had exceeded themselves, and it was evident to you how We had dealt with them; and We held out examples before you."

And you inhabited the dwellings of those who did wrong to themselves. And it became clear to you how We accomplished against them and We propounded for you parables.

And you dwelt in the dwellings of those who were unjust to themselves and it was made clear to you how We dealt with them and We had set forth similitude’s for you.”

even though you inhabited the houses of those who had wronged themselves and it was made clear to you how We had dealt with them and We gave you many examples?´

"And you dwelt in the dwellings of men who wronged themselves, and it was clear to you how We had dealt with them. And We put forth (many) parables for you."

And (have ye not) dwelt in the dwellings of those who wronged themselves (of old) and (hath it not) become plain to you how We dealt with them and made examples for you

And you have dwelt in the resting places of those who had wronged their own souls and it has become clear to you how We dealt with them and We have set examples for you.

And you dwelt in the dwellings of the ones who did injustice to themselves, and it became evident to you how We performed with them, and We have struck similitudes for you

Yet ye dwelt in the dwellings of those who were the authors of their undoing and it was made plain to you how we had dealt with them; and we held them up to you as examples

"And ye dwelt in the dwellings of men who wronged their own souls; ye were clearly shown how We dealt with them; and We put forth (many) parables in your behoof!"

You lived in the dwellings of those who wronged their souls before you: yet you knew full well how We had dealt with them, and We spoke to you in parables about them.‘

And yet, You have lived in the dwellings of those who wronged their own selves, and it became clear to you how We dealt with them. And We have set forth many parables for you.

And you lived among the dwellings of those who wronged themselves, and it had become clear to you how We dealt with them. And We presented for you [many] examples."

"And you dwelt in the dwellings of those who had wronged their own souls; and it was made plain to you how We dealt with them; and We struck out many parables for you."

And ye dwell in the dwellings of those who had wronged themselves and it had become manifest unto you in what wise We had dealt with them, and We had propounded for you similitudes

"And you dwelt in the houses of those who had wronged themselves and it became very clear to you how We had dealt with them, and We illustrated several examples for you."

And you resided in those who were unjust/oppressive (to) themselves' residences, and how We made/did with them was clarified/shown for you, and We gave to you the examples/proverbs

You inhabit the locality of those people (of the previous age) who had harmed their own selves. It should be amply clear to you how We dealt with them. We have cited you their examples

You lived in the dwellings of those [communities of old; eg, Sodom and Gomorrah] who wronged themselves. You were clearly shown how We handled them, and We offered parables for you.

You passed by the ruins of those ˹destroyed peoples˺ who had wronged themselves. It was made clear to you how We dealt with them, and We gave you ˹many˺ examples.

Yet ye dwelt in the dwellings of those who had treated their own souls unjustly; and it appeared plainly unto you how We had dealt with them; and We propounded their destruction as examples unto you

And you have resided in the houses of those who did wrong to themselves, and it was made clear to you what We did to them, and We have given you examples (of what they did and what was done to them).

You said so even though you had lived in the dwellings of those who had wronged themselves (by sinning), and you were aware how We dealt with them, and We had even explained to you all this by giving examples

And you (occupied and) stayed in the residential houses of those who wronged themselves and it has become plain to you how We dealt with them and We have brought forward for you many examples (of the destroyed nations)

`(You said this though) you occupied the dwelling places of those who had wronged themselves and it had been clear to you how We had dealt with them (- the unjust). We have set forth all these descriptions for you clearly.

while you dwelt in the dwellings of those who had wronged themselves [before], and it had been made clear to you how We had dealt with them [before you], and We had [also] cited examples for you?’

"You dwelled in the homes and towns where people before you had dwelt and wronged themselves oppressing the weak. And you were made well aware of how Our Law of Requital dealt with them. And We gave you plenty of examples."

And (in your own turn) you were dwelling in the palaces (vacated by) those who had wronged their souls (during their respective eras), whereas this had dawned on you how We had dealt with them, and We also elucidated examples for your (easy comprehension)

"And you dwelt in the dwelling-places of those who wronged themselves (by associating partners with God and other grave sins), and it became clear to you how We had dealt with them, and We made examples for you (to enable you to grasp the truth and mend your ways)."

And yet, you dwelt in the dwelling-places of those who had sinned against their own selves [before your time], and it was made obvious to you how We had dealt with them: for We have set forth unto you many a parable [of sin, resurrection and divine retribution]."
