Quran 14 : 44

And when the evil doers shall say, "O our Lord! respite us yet a little while: To thy call will we make answer; thine Apostles will we follow." "Did ye not once swear that no change should befal you

So warn humanity of the day when the punishment will reach them. Then the wrongdoers will say, “Our Lord, respite us for a short-term. We will answer Your call, and follow the messengers.” “What, had you not sworn before, to no end

Warn mankind of the Day when the punishment will overtake them, when the evildoers will say: 'Our Lord, grant us respite for awhile, we will answer Your call, and follow the Messengers. ' Did you not once swear that you would never cease

Warn the people of the Day when the punishment will befall them, and the wrongdoers will plead, “Our Lord, delay us for a little while, and we will answer Your call and follow the messengers.” Didn’t you swear before that there will be no end for you?

And warn the people of a day when the torment will come to them, so those who are oppressed will say, “Our Lord, postpone us to a near term, we will respond to Your call and follow the messengers.” Had you not sworn, before that you have no extinction?

And warn the mankind (of) a Day (when) will come to them the punishment then will say those who did wrong Our Lord Respite us for a term short we will answer Your call and we will follow the Messengers Had not you sworn before before not for you any end

And warn mankind of the Day when the Wrath shall reach them: then those who have done wrong shall say, "O our Lord! Respite us for a short term longer, and we will respond to Thy call, and follow the Messengers!" - "What! Did you not used

And warn people of a day when the chastisement will come to them, then the wrongdoers will say: Our Lord, respite us to a near term, we will respond to Thy call and follow the messengers. Did you not swear before that there will be no passing away for you

And warn people of a day when the punishment will reach them and those who did wrong will say: our Lord, give us a little bit more time, we will respond to Your call and follow the messengers. Did you not swear previously that there would be no end for you?

Warn humanity of the day when punishment will come to them. Then the offenders will say, “Our Lord, reprieve us for a short time, and then we will answer Your call and follow the messengers.” Didn’t you previously swear that you would never suffer such defeat?

Forewarn the people of the day when the scourge will overtake them; when the wrongdoers will say: ‘Lord, grant us respite for a short while. We will obey Your call, and follow the apostles.‘ ‘Did you not once swear that you would never die away

And warn mankind of the day when the chastisement comes on them, And those who did evil shall say, 'Our Lord, defer us to a near term, and we will answer Thy call, and follow the Messengers.' 'Ah, but did you not swear aforetime there should be no removing for you

And warn mankind of the Day when the punishment will come upon them, and the wicked will say, 'Our Lord, defer us for a little while, and we will answer Your call and follow the messengers.' Did you not swear before that there will be no passing away for you

Warn mankind against a day when torment will come upon them. Those who have done wrong will say: "Our Lord, put us off for a short while; we will answer Your appeal and follow the messengers!" (Did you not use to swear previously that you would never [face] extinction?

And warn mankind of the day when the punishment shall come to them, then those who have done wrong shall say, 'Our Lord! Respite us for a short term, and we will respond to Your call, and follow the messengers!' - 'Did you not swear before for you there is no decline?'

So warn people of a day when the punishment will come to them, and the evildoers will say, “Our Lord, give us more time so we may answer Your call and follow the messengers.” The reply, “Didn’t you swear an oath that your power would never diminish?

Andwarn the people of the Day when the retribution will come to them, and those who have been wicked will say: "Our Lord, delay this for us until a short time, and we will heed your call and follow the messengers!" Did you not swear before this that you would last forever

And warn mankind of a day when the doom will come upon them, and those who did wrong will say: Our Lord! Reprieve us for a little while. We will obey Thy call and will follow the messengers. (It will be answered): Did ye not swear before that there would be no end for you

You shall warn the people of the day when the retribution comes to them. Those who transgressed will say, "Our Lord, give us one more respite. We will then respond to Your call and follow the messengers." Did you not swear in the past that you will last forever?

And warn humanity of a Day the punishment will approach them. So those who did wrong will say: Our Lord! Postpone for us a near term so that we answer Thy call and follow the Messengers. Yet swore you not an oath before that there would be no ceasing for you?

and warn men of the day when the torment shall come! And those who have done wrong shall say, 'O our Lord! respite us until an appointed time nigh at hand, and we will respond to Thy call, and follow the apostles!' - 'What! did ye not swear before, ye should have no decline?

And warn mankind of the day when the torment shall come to them, then the unjust shall say, 'O our Lord, grant us respite for a short term that we may respond to your call and follow the messengers'. Did you not swear before that we are not to go anywhere moving from the world?

And warn (O Muhammad) mankind of the Day when the punishment will come to them; then those who wronged will say: “Our Lord! Respite us for a little while, we will answer Your Call and follow the Messengers!” (It will be said): “Did you not sworn before that you would never leave?

And warn people of the Day when the punishment shall come to them. Then those who were wicked will say, "O our Lord! Give us respite for a short term to enable us to respond to Your call and follow the Messengers." Did you not swear before that you shall have no downfall

And warn people of the day when the chastisement shall come to them, then those who were unjust will say: O our Lord! respite us to a near term, (so) we shall respond to Thy call and follow the messengers. What! did you not swear before (that) there will be no passing away for you

Warn mankind of the Day when the punishment will reach them. Those who did wrong will say, ´Our Lord, reprieve us for a short time. We will respond to Your call and follow the Messengers.´ ´But did you not swear to Me before that you would never meet your downfall,

So warn mankind of the Day when the Wrath will reach them: then will the wrong-doers say: "Our Lord! respite us (if only) for a short term: we will answer Thy call, and follow the messengers!" "What! were ye not wont to swear aforetime that ye should suffer no decline

Warn mankind against a day when torment will come upon them. Those who have done wrong will say: "Our Lord, put us off for a short while; we will answer Your appeal and follow the messengers!" (Did you not use to swear previously that you would never [face] extinction?

So warn people of the Day when punishment will come to them, and when the disbelievers will say, ‘Our Lord, give us a little more time: we shall answer Your call and follow the messengers.’ Did you [disbelievers] not swear in the past that your power would have no end

Warn people of the Day when this suffering may befall them, and when the unjust will say, "Our Lord, grant us respite for a little more time, so that we might respond to Your call and follow the Messengers." [God will say,] "Did you not swear in the past that your power would have no end?

And warn thou the mankind of the Day whereon the torment will come unto them; then those who have done wrong shall say: our Lord! defer us to a term near at hand we will answer Thy call and we will follow the apostles. Were ye not wont to swear afore that for you there was to be no decline

And warn people of the day when the promised chastisement will come upon them, and the wrongdoers will say, Our Lord, grant us respite for a short term, we will respond to thy call and will follow the Messengers.' HE will say, `Did you not swear before this that you would never have a fall

Warn men of the Day when the punishment will come upon them, and when the wrongdoers will say, Our Lord, grant us respite for a short while. We will respond to Your call and will follow the messengers. [But God will answer], are you not those who swore that you would never suffer any decline

And warn mankind of the Day when the torment will come up to them. Then the ones who did (an) injustice will say, "Our Lord, defer us to a near term, (then) we will answer Your Call and closely follow the Messengers." (But) did you not swear earlier that in no way will you (face) extinction

(Muhammad), warn the people of the day when torment will approach them and the unjust will say, "Lord, give us respite for a little time so that we may answer your call and follow the Messengers." (The answer to their prayer will be), "Did you not swear before that you would never perish

Warn the people of that Day when the punishment would be inflicted upon them. Then will the wicked say: "O our Lord, give us respite a while more. We shall heed Your call and follow the apostles." (But they will be told,): "Are you not those who used to swear: 'There is no reverse for us?

And warn the people of the Day when the torment will come upon them. Those who did injustice will say: ‘O our Lord, grant us respite for a while so that we may accept Your message and follow the Messengers.’ (It will be said to them:) ‘Are you not those who used to swear before that you would never fall?

And warn people of a day when the punishment comes to them, then those who did wrong say: “Our Lord, postpone (the punishment) for us for a short period, so that we accept Your call and follow the messengers.” (God says:) “Did you not swear in the past that you will have no ending (and you will not die)?”

Warn these people of the day when the (threatened) punishment overtakes them, and those who are unjust will say, `Our Lord! grant us respite for a short term, we will respond to Your call and follow the Messengers.' (It will be said to them), `Did you not swear before now (that) you would never have a fall

Warn the people of a day when punishment will come upon them, and the wrongdoers will say, .Our Lord, give us respite for a short term, and we will respond to Your call and will follow the messengers. (Allah will say), .Is it not that you had sworn oaths earlier that you would not have to leave (the world)

And warn the mankind about a day when the punishment will come to them and then those who have wronged their own souls will say, “O our Lord! Give us respite till a short time so that we respond to Your call and we follow the messengers. Why? Did you not swear before that for you there will never be an end?”

And warn mankind of the Day when the punishment shall come upon them, whereupon those who did wrong will say, “Our Lord! Grant us reprieve for a term nigh, that we might respond to Thy Call and follow the messengers.” [It will be said unto them], “Did you not earlier swear that there would be no end for you?

And warn mankind of the day when the punishment will come upon them, then those who were unjust would say, “Our Fosterer ! give us time till a near term, we will respond to your invitation and we will follow the messengers.” (They will be answered), “Did you not swear before, that there will be no decline for you?

Warn, the people of a day when the chastisement will come to them, then the ones who are grossly unfair and morally wrong will say: "Our Lord, reprieve us for a little while. We will respond to Your call and follow the ‘Messengers’!" (It will be said): "Did you not swear before that there would be no end for you?”

Warn the people of the day when the punishment will overtake them, whereat the wrongdoers will say, ‘Our Lord! Respite us for a brief while so that we may respond to Your call, and follow the apostles.’ [They will be told,] ‘Did you not use to swear earlier that there would be no reverse for you

And warn (O Muhammad SAW) mankind of the Day when the torment will come unto them; then the wrong-doers will say: "Our Lord! Respite us for a little while, we will answer Your Call and follow the Messengers!" (It will be said): "Had you not sworn aforetime that you would not leave (the world for the Hereafter)

And, [O Muhammad], warn the people of a Day when the punishment will come to them and those who did wrong will say, "Our Lord, delay us for a short term; we will answer Your call and follow the messengers." [But it will be said], "Had you not sworn, before, that for you there would be no cessation

And warn/give notice, on a day the torture comes to them, so those who were unjust/oppressive say: "Our Lord delay us to a near/close term/time, we answer/reply (to) your call/request , and we follow the messengers." Did you not be sworn/made oath (swear/make oath) from before (that there is) none from vanishment/termination for you

And warn the people of the Day when the punishment will overtake ˹the wicked among˺ them, and the wrongdoers will cry, “Our Lord! Delay us for a little while. We will respond to Your call and follow the messengers!” ˹It will be said,˺ “Did you not swear before that you would never be removed ˹to the next life˺?”

Warn the people of the period when the wrath (death – the beginning of an eternal suffering for those who are unprepared) will reach them! In that time, the wrongdoers will say, “Our Rabb, respite us for a short term so we may respond to Your invitation and follow Your Rasuls”... Had you not sworn, before, that for you there would be no such end?

And warn mankind of the Day when the torment approaches them; then those who transgressed (the limits set by Al-Kitâb) will say: “Our Nourisher-Sustainer! Give us respite for a little while, we will answer your call and follow the Messengers.” Have you not been: you swore aforetime (that there is) no coming down or fall for you

And warn the people of a day when the punishment will come upon them, therefore the unjust will say, "O our Lord! Give us respite for a little while - for us to obey Your call and follow the Noble Messengers"; (It will be said) "So had you not sworn before that, ‘We have not to move to any place else from the earth’?"

(O Muhammad), warn mankind of the Day when a severe chastisement shall overtake them, and the wrong-doers will say: "Our Lord, grant us respite for a short while; we shall respond to Your call and will follow Your Messengers." (But they will be clearly told): "Are you not the same who swore earlier that they shall never suffer decline?"

Let them know that there will be a Day when they have to face their punishment. Those who have been unjust will beg: “Our Lord, give just a little more time so that we respond to your Message and follow your Messengers.” They will be responded: “Are you not the same people who used to swear that there is no such thing as punishment?”

Wherefore do thou threaten men with the day, whereon their punishment shall be inflicted on them, and whereon those who have acted unjustly shall say, O Lord, give us respite unto a term near at hand; and we will obey thy call, and we will follow thy apostles. But it shall be answered unto them, did ye not swear heretofore, that no reverse should befall you

And (Oh Mohammed, SAW) alert the people about that day when the punishment will land on them. At that time, the evildoers will say, "Oh our Lord, allow us just a little more time! We promise to heed Your call and obey the messengers." ... (what)? ... "You used to swear, did you not, that you will never have to contend with any adversity?"

And warn the people of a day when the chastisement will come to them, then the ones who have abandoned the Full Knowledge of the Truth in favour of their own whims will say: ‘Our Lord, reprieve us for a little while. We will respond to Your call and follow the Messengers!’ (Then they will be told): ‘Did you not swear before that there would be no end for you?’

And warn mankind of the Day when the Anger (and Punishment) will reach them: Then the wrongdoers will say: "O Lord! Grant some relief to us (even) for a little while: We will come back to Your Call, and follow (Your) messengers!" (The reply will be:) "What! Were you not used to swearing before that you will not leave (this world for the Hereafter)

Hence, warn mankind of the Day when this suffering may befall them, and every violator of the Divine Commands will long for a little more respite, saying, "Our Lord! Give us a little time. We will obey Your Message and follow the Messengers." The answer will be given, "Did you not use to swear before that there shall be no decline of status for you?"

Hence, warn men of the Day when this suffering may befall them, and when those who did wrong [in their lifetime] will exclaim: "O our Sustainer! Grant us respite for a short while, so that we might respond to Thy call and follow the apostles!" [But God will answer:] "Why - were you not aforetime wont to swear that no kind of resurrection and retribution awaited you

And warn humankind of the Day when the punishment will come upon them; and those who did wrong (by associating partners with God and other grave sins) will say: "Our Lord! Grant us respite for a short while – we will answer your call and follow the Messengers!" (And their entreaty will get the response:) "Did you not use to swear before that there would be no decline and fall for you
