This hadith has been narrated on the authority of Ibn Shihab with the same chain of transmitters.
Sahih Muslim Book 43, Hadith 121
← Previous Hadith Ibn Abbas reported that the People of the Book used to let their hair fall (on their foreheads) and the polytheists used to part them on their heads, and Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) liked to conform his behaviour to the People of the Book in matters in which he received no command (from God) ; so Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) let fall his hair upon his forehead, and then he began to part it after this.

Sahih Muslim Book 43, Hadith 120 Next Hadith → Al-Bara' reported that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) was of medium height, having broad shoulders, with his hair hanging down on the lobes of his ears. He put on a red mantle over him, and never have I seen anyone more handsome than Allah's Apostle (ﷺ).
