The Prophet (ﷺ) sacrificed two horned rams which were white with black markings and had been castrated. When he made them face the qiblah, he said: I have turned my face towards Him. Who created the heavens and the earth, following Abraham's religion, the true in faith, and I am not one of the polytheists. My prayer, and my service of sacrifice, my life and my death are all for Allah, the Lord of the Universe, Who has no partner. That is what I was commanded to do, and I am one of the Muslims. O Allah it comes from Thee and is given to Thee from Muhammad and his people. In the name of Allah, and Allah is Most Great. He then made sacrifice.
Sunan Abi Dawud Book 16, Hadith 8
Yahya said that Malik said, "The way of doing things in our
community about Yahya said that Malik said, "The procedure in swearing
in manslaughter is that those who claim blood swear and it becomes due
by their swearing. They swear fifty oaths, and there is blood-money
for them according to the division of their inheritances. If it is not
possible to divide up the oaths which they swear between them evenly,
one looks to the one who has most of those oaths against him, and that
oath is obliged against him."
Malik said, "If the slain man
only has female heirs, they swear and take the blood-money. If he only
has one male heir, he swears fifty oaths and takes the blood-money.
That is only in the accidental killing, not in the intentional one."
Muwatta Malik Book 44, Hadith 4
A man came to the Prophet (ﷺ) and said, "I have been ruined for I have had sexual relation with my wife
in Ramadan (while I was fasting)" The Prophet (ﷺ) said (to him), "Manumit a slave." The man said, " I
cannot afford that." The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "(Then) fast for two successive months continuously". The man
said, "I cannot do that." The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "(Then) feed sixty poor persons." The man said, "I have
nothing (to feed them with)." Then a big basket full of dates was brought to the Prophet. The Prophet (ﷺ)
said, "Where is the questioner? Go and give this in charity." The man said, "(Shall I give this in
charity) to a poorer person than l? By Allah, there is no family in between these two mountains (of
Medina) who are poorer than we." The Prophet (ﷺ) then smiled till his premolar teeth became visible, and
said, "Then (feed) your (family with it).
Sahih al-Bukhari Book 78, Hadith 115
Malik said, "The generally agreed on way of doing things among us
in which there is no dispute and which I saw the people of knowledge
in our citydoing, is that the child of the half-sibling by the mother,
the paternal grandfather, the paternal uncle who is the maternal half-
brother of the father, the maternal uncle, the great-grandmother who
is the mother of the mother's father, the daughter of the full-
brother, the paternal aunt, and the maternal aunt do not inherit
anything by their kinship."
Malik said, "The woman who is the
furthest relation of the deceased of those who were named in this
book, does not inherit anything by her kinship, and women do not
inherit anything apart from those that are named in the Quran. Allah,
the Blessed, the Exalted, mentioned in His Book the inheritance ofthe
mother from her children, the inheritance of the daughters from their
father, the inheritance of the wife from her husband, the inheritance
of the full sisters, the inheritance of the half-sisters by the father
and the inheritance of the half-sisters by the mother. The grandmother
is made an heir by the example of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and
grant him peace, made about her. A woman inherits from a slave she
frees herself because Allah, the Blessed, the Exalted, said in His
Book, 'They are your brothers in the deen and your mawali.' "
Muwatta Malik Book 27, Hadith 17
"I came from Yemen and the Prophet had stopped in Al-Batha at the time to Hajj. He asked: 'Have you performed Hajj?' I said: 'Yes, He said: 'What did you say?' I said; 'Labbaika bi ihlal ka ihlal in-nabiy (Here I am (O Allah, entering Ihram for that for which the Prophet entered Ihram). He said 'Circumambulate the House and (perform Sa) between As-Safa and Al-Marwah, and exit Ihram.' Then I went to a woman who combed my hair. I started to issue Fatwas to the people based on that. Then during the Khilafah of 'Umar, a man said to me: 'O abu Musa, withhold some of our Fatwas from us, for you do not know what the Commander of the Believers has introduced into the rites after you.''' Abu Musa said: "O people, O people, whoever heard our Fatwa, let him not rush to follow it, for the Commander of the Believers is coming to your and you should follow him.: 'Umar said: "If we follow the Book of Allah, then indeed He commands us to complete Hajj and 'Umrah, and the Messenger of Allah did not exit Ihram until the Hadi had reached its place."
