That heard Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) saying, "We are the last but will be the foremost to enter Paradise)." The
Prophet added, "He who obeys me, obeys Allah, and he who disobeys me, disobeys Allah. He who
obeys the chief, obeys me, and he who disobeys the chief, disobeys me. The Imam is like a shelter for
whose safety the Muslims should fight and where they should seek protection. If the Imam orders
people with righteousness and rules justly, then he will be rewarded for that, and if he does the
opposite, he will be responsible for that."
Sahih al-Bukhari Book 56, Hadith 168
Yahya related to me from Malik from Ibrahim ibn Uqba from Kurayb
the mawla of Abdullah ibn Abbas from Ibn Abbas that the Messenger of
Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, passed a woman in a
litter and it was said to her, "This is the Messenger of Allah, may
Allah bless him and grant him peace," and she took the forearms of a
young boy who was with her and said, "Does this one have a hajj,
Messenger of Allah?" and he said, "Yes, and you have a reward."
Muwatta Malik Book 20, Hadith 256
He who loves to meet Allah, Allah loves to meet him, and he who dislikes to meet Allah, Allah abhors to meet him. I ('A'isha) said: Allah's Apostle, so far as the feeling of aversion against death is concerned, we all have this feeling. Thereupon he (the Holy Prophet) said: It is not that (which you construe), but (this) that when a believer (at the time of death) is given the glad tidings of the mercy of Allah, His Pleasure, and of Paradise, he loves to meet Allah, and Allah also loves to meet him, and when an unbeliever is given the news of the torment at the Hand of Allah, and Hardship to be imposed by Him, he dislikes to meet Allah and Allah also abhors to meet him.
Sahih Muslim Book 48, Hadith 18
While the Prophet (ﷺ) was prostrating, surrounded by some of Quraish, `Uqba bin Abi Mu'ait brought the
intestines (i.e. Abdominal contents) of a camel and put them over the back of the Prophet. The Prophet (ﷺ)
did not raise his head, (till) Fatima, came and took it off his back and cursed the one who had done the
harm. The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "O Allah! Destroy the chiefs of Quraish, Abu Jahl bin Hisham, `Utba bin
Rabi`al, Shaba bin Rabi`a, Umaiya bin Khalaf or Ubai bin Khalaf." (The sub-narrator Shu`ba, is not
sure of the last name.) I saw these people killed on the day of Badr battle and thrown in the well
except Umaiya or Ubai whose body parts were mutilated but he was not thrown in the well.
