I saw in a dream a piece of silken cloth in my hand, and in whatever direction in Paradise I waved it, it
flew, carrying me there. I narrated this (dream) to (my sister) Hafsa and she told it to the Prophet (ﷺ) who
said, (to Hafsa), "Indeed, your brother is a righteous man," or, "Indeed, `Abdullah is a righteous man."
Sahih al-Bukhari Book 91, Hadith 33
Ibn `Abbas said, "When Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) was on his deathbed and there were some men in the house,
he said, 'Come near, I will write for you something after which you will not go astray.' Some of them (
i.e. his companions) said, 'Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) is seriously ill and you have the (Holy) Quran. Allah's
Book is sufficient for us.' So the people in the house differed and started disputing. Some of them said,
'Give him writing material so that he may write for you something after which you will not go astray.'
while the others said the other way round. So when their talk and differences increased, Allah's
Apostle said, "Get up." Ibn `Abbas used to say, "No doubt, it was very unfortunate (a great disaster)
that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) was prevented from writing for them that writing because of their differences and
noise."
Sahih al-Bukhari Book 64, Hadith 454
“The Messenger of
Allah
(ﷺ) performed the eclipse prayer. He stood for a long time,
then he
bowed for a long time, then he stood up for a long time, then
he
bowed for a long time, then he stood up, then he prostrated for a
long time, then he sat up, then he prostrated for a long time. He
stood for a long time, then he bowed for a long time, then he stood
up
for a long time, then he bowed for a long time, then he stood up,
then he
prostrated for a long time, then he sat up, then he
prostrated for a
long time. Then he finished and said: ‘Paradise
was brought close to
me, so that if I had dared, I could have brought
you some of its
fruits. And Hell was brought near to me, until I
said: “O Lord, am I
one of them?” Nafi’ said: “I think that
he said: ‘And I saw a woman
being scratched by a cat that belonged
to her. I said: “What is wrong
with this woman?” They said: “She
detained it until it died of hunger;
she did not feed it and she did
not let it loose to eat of the vermin
of the earth.”
