The Prophet (ﷺ) passed by her while she was in the masjid, supplicating, then he passed by her again when it was almost midday. He said to her: "Are you still here?" She said: "Yes." He said: "Shall I not teach you some words which you can say? Subhan Allah adada khalqihi, subhan Allah adada khalqihi, subhan Allah adada khalqihi; subhan Allah rida nafsihi, subhan Allah rida nafsihi, subhan Allah rida nafsihi; Subhan Allah zinata 'arshihi, Subhan Allah zinata 'arshihi, Subhan Allah zinata 'arshihi; Subhan Allah midada Kalamatihi, Subhan Allah midada Kalamatihi, Subhan Allah midada Kalamatihi (Glory be to Allah the number of His creation, glory be to Allah the number of His creation, glory be to Allah the number of His creation; glory be to Allah as much as pleases Him, glory be to Allah as much as pleases Him, glory be to Allah as much as pleases Him; glory be to Allah the weight of His throne, glory be to Allah the weight of His throne, glory be to Allah the weight of His throne; glory be to Allah the number of His words, glory be to Allah the number of His words, glory be to Allah the number of His words).'
Sunan an-Nasa'i Book 13, Hadith 174
There fell to my lot a she-camel out of the spoils of war on the Day of Badr, and Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) gave me (another) she-camel on that day out of the Khums (one-fifth reserved for Allah and His Messenger). When I made up my mind to consummate my marriage with Fatima, the daughter of Allah's Messenger (ﷺ), I prevailed upon a goldsmith of the tribe of Qainuqa' to go along with me so that we might bring Idhkhir wishing to sell that to the goldsmiths and thus I should be able to arrange my wedding feast. While I was arranging the equipments. i. e. litters, sacks and ropes, my two she-camels were sitting down at the side of the apartment of a person of the Ansar. I collected (the different articles of equipment) and found to my surprise that their humps had been chopped off and their haunches had been cut off and their livers had been taken out. I could not help weeping when I saw that plight of theirs. I said: Who has done that? They said: Hamza b. 'Abd al-Muttalib has done this. and he is in this house dead drunk in the company of some of the Ansair with asinging girl singing before him and his companions. She said in her song: O Hamza. get up and attack these falty she-camels. Thereupon Hamza stood up with a sword (in his hand) and cut off their humps and ripped their haunches and tore out their livers. 'Ali said: I went away until I came to Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) and there was with him Zaid b. Haritha. Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) recognised from my face what I had experienced, whereupon Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said: What has happened to you? I said: Messenger of Allah, by Allah, I have never seen (such an unfortunate day) as this day. Hamza has committed aggression to my she-camels, and has cut off their humps. and ripped their haunches, and he is in a house in the company of some drunkards. (Hearing this) Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) sent for his mantle and, putting it on him, he proceeded, and I and Zaid b. Haritha followed him, until he came to the door (of the house) in which there was Hamza. He (the Holy Prophet) sought permission which they granted him. and they were all drunk. Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) began to reprimand Hamza for what he had done. Hamza's eyes were red. He cast a glance at Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) and then looked towards his knees. and then lifted his eyes and cast a glance at his waist and then lifted his eyes and saw his face. And then Hamza said: Are you anything but the slaves of my father? Alah's Messenger (ﷺ) came to know that he was intoxicated, and he thus turned upon his heels, and came out, and we also came out along with him.
Sahih Muslim Book 36, Hadith 3
That he was sitting behind `Umar bin `Abdul `Aziz and the people mentioned and mentioned (about
at-Qasama) and they said (various things), and said that the Caliphs had permitted it. `Umar bin
`Abdul `Aziz turned towards Abu Qilaba who was behind him and said. "What do you say, O
`Abdullah bin Zaid?" or said, "What do you say, O Abu Qilaba?" Abu Qilaba said, "I do not know that
killing a person is lawful in Islam except in three cases: a married person committing illegal sexual
intercourse, one who has murdered somebody unlawfully, or one who wages war against Allah and
His Apostle." 'Anbasa said, "Anas narrated to us such-and-such." Abu Qilaba said, "Anas narrated to
me in this concern, saying, some people came to the Prophet (ﷺ) and they spoke to him saying, 'The
climate of this land does not suit us.' The Prophet (ﷺ) said, 'These are camels belonging to us, and they are
to be taken out to the pasture. So take them out and drink of their milk and urine.' So they took them
and set out and drank of their urine and milk, and having recovered, they attacked the shepherd, killed
him and drove away the camels.' Why should there be any delay in punishing them as they murdered
(a person) and waged war against Allah and His Apostle and frightened Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) ?" Anbasa
said, "I testify the uniqueness of Allah!" Abu Qilaba said, "Do you suspect me?" 'Anbasa said, "No,
Anas narrated that (Hadith) to us." Then 'Anbasa added, "O the people of such-and-such (country),
you will remain in good state as long as Allah keeps this (man) and the like of this (man) amongst
you."
Sahih al-Bukhari Book 65, Hadith 132
Yahya related to me from Malik from Yahya ibn Said from Said ibn
al-Musayyab that Abu Musa al-Ashari came to A'isha, the wife of the
Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and said to her,
"The disagreement of the companions in a matter which I hate to bring
before you has distressed me." She said, "What is that? You did not
ask your mother about it, so ask me." He said, "A man penetrates his
wife, but becomes listless and does not ejaculate. "She said, "When
the circumcised part passes the circumcised part ghusl is obligatory."
Abu Musa added, "I shall never ask anyone about this after you."
Muwatta Malik Book 2, Hadith 74
Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) sent Abu Musa and Mu`adh bin Jabal to Yemen. He sent each of them to administer a
province as Yemen consisted of two provinces. The Prophet (ﷺ) said (to them), "Facilitate things for the
people and do not make things difficult for them (Be kind and lenient (both of you) with the people,
and do not be hard on them) and give the people good tidings and do not repulse them. So each of
them went to carry on his job. So when any one of them toured his province and happened to come
near (the border of the province of) his companion, he would visit him and greet him. Once Mu`adh
toured that part of his state which was near (the border of the province of) his companion Abu Musa.
Mu`adh came riding his mule till he reached Abu Musa and saw him sitting, and the people had
gathered around him. Behold! There was a man tied with his hands behind his neck. Mu`adh said to
Abu Musa, "O `Abdullah bin Qais! What is this?" Abu Musa replied. "This man has reverted to
Heathenism after embracing Islam." Mu`adh said, "I will not dismount till he is killed." Abu Musa
replied, "He has been brought for this purpose, so come down." Mu`adh said, "I will not dismount till
he is killed." So Abu Musa ordered that he be killed, and he was killed. Then Mu`adh dismounted and
said, "O `Abdullah (bin Qais)! How do you recite the Quran ?" Abu Musa said, "I recite the Quran
regularly at intervals and piecemeal. How do you recite it O Mu`adh?" Mu`adh said, "I sleep in the
first part of the night and then get up after having slept for the time devoted for my sleep and then
recite as much as Allah has written for me. So I seek Allah's Reward for both my sleep as well as my
prayer (at night).
Sahih al-Bukhari Book 64, Hadith 370
"Horses may bring reward to a man, or they may be a means of protection, or they may be a burden (of sin). As for that which brings reward, it is a man who keeps it for the cause of Allah and ties it with a long rope in a pasture or a garden; whatever it eats or drinks in that pasture or garden will count as good deeds for him. If it breaks its rope and jumps over one or two hills, its footsteps" -and according to the Hadith of Al-Harith, "its dung will count as good deeds for him. If it passes by a river and drinks from it, even though (its owner) did not intend to give it water from that river, that will also bring him reward. If a man keeps a horse in order to earn an independent living and avoid asking others for help, and he does not forget his duty toward Allah with regard to their (the horses') necks and backs, then they will be a means of protection for him. If a man keeps horses out of pride, to show off before others and to fight the Muslims, then that will be a burden (of sin) for him." The Prophet was asked about donkeys and he said: "Nothing has been revealed to me concerning them except this Verse which is comprehensive in meaning: 'So whosoever does good equal to the weight of an atom (or a small ant) shall see it. And whosoever does evil equal to the weight of an atom (or a small ant) shall see it.'"
Sunan an-Nasa'i Book 28, Hadith 3
Malik said, "Allah, the Blessed and Exalted, says, 'O you who
trust, do not kill game while you are in ihram. Whoever of you kills
game intentionally has to pay a forfeit commensurate with what he has
killed in cattle which two men from among you shall judge, a
sacrificial animal which reaches the Kaba, or else he makes a kaffara
of either feeding poor people or the equivalent of that in fasting, so
that he may taste the consequences of what he has done.' " (Sura 5
ayat 95).
Malik said, "Someone who hunts game when he is not
in ihram and then kills it while he is in ihram is in the same
position as someone who buys game while he is in ihram and then kills
it. Allah has forbidden killing it, and so a man who does so has to
pay a forfeit for it. The position that we go by in this matter is
that a forfeit is assessed for anyone who kills game while he is in
ihram."
Yahya said that Malik said, "The best that I have
heard about someone who kills game and is assessed for it is that the
game which he has killed is assessed and its value in food is
estimated and with that food he feeds each poor man a mudd, or fasts a
day in place of each mudd. The number of poor men is considered, and
if it is ten then he fasts ten days, and if it is twenty he fasts
twenty days, according to how many people there are to be fed, even if
there are more than sixty."
Malik said, "I have heard that a
forfeit is assessed for someone who kills game in the Haram while he
is not in ihram in the same way that it is assessed for some one who
kills game in the Haram while he is in ihram ."
