Yahya related to me from Malik, from Ibn Shihab, from Ubaydullah
ibn Abdullah ibn Utba ibn Masud, from Abdullah ibn Abbas, that as-Sab
ibn Jaththama al-Laythi once gave a wild ass to the Messenger of
Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, while he was at al-
Abwa, or Waddan, and the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and
grant him peace, gave it back to him. However, when the Messenger of
Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, saw the expression on
the man's face he said, "We only gave it back to you because we are in
ihram."
Muwatta Malik Book 20, Hadith 85
"The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) was of average height, neither tall nor very short, he had a good build, brown in complexion, his hair was neither curly nor straight, and when he walked he swayed slightly."
He said: There are narration on this topic from 'Aishah, Al-Bara', Abu Hurairah, Ibn 'Abbas, Abu Sa'eed, Jabir, Wa'il bin Hujr, and Umm Hani'.
The Hadith of Anas is a Hasan Sahih Gharib Hadith from this route, as a narration of Humaid.
Jami` at-Tirmidhi Book 24, Hadith 35
'Alqama led us in the noon prayer and be offered five rak'ahs; when the prayer was complete, the people said to him: Abu Shibl, you have offered five rak'ahs. He said: No, I have not done that. They said: Yes (you said five rak'ahs). He (the narrator) said: And I was sitting in a corner among people and I was just a boy. I (also) said: Yes, you have offered five (rak'ahs). He said to me: O, one-eyed, do you say the same thing? I said: Yes. Upon this he turned (his face) and performed two prostrations and then gave salutations, and then reported 'Abdullah as saying: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) led us in prayer and offered five rak'ahs. And as he turned away the people began to whisper amongst themselves. He (the Holy Prophet) said: What is the matter with you? They said: Has the prayer been extended? He said: No. They said: You have in fact said five rak'ahs. He (the Holy Prophet) then turned his back (and faced the Qibla) and performed two prostrations and then gave salutations and further said: Verily I am a human being like you, I forget just as you forget. Ibn Numair made this addition:" When any one of you forgets, he must perform two prostrations."
Sahih Muslim Book 5, Hadith 121
"Hafsah bint 'Umar became single when (her husband) Khunais -meaning bin Hudhafah- (died). He was one of the Companions of the Prophet who had been present at Badr, and he died in Al-Madinah. I met 'Uthman bin 'Affan and offered Hafsah in marriage to him. I said: 'If you wish, I will marry you to Hafsah.' He said: 'I will think about it.' A few days passed, then I met him and he said: 'I do not want to get married at the moment.'" 'Umar said: "Then I met Abu Bakr As-Siddiq, may Allah be pleased with him, and said: 'If you wish, I will marry Hafsah to you.' He did not give me any answer, and I felt more upset with him than I had with 'Uthman, may Allah be pleased with him. Several days passed, then the Messenger of Allah proposed marriage to her, and I married her to him. Abu Bakr met me and said: 'Perhaps you felt upset with me when you offered Hafsah in marriage to me and I did not give you an answer?' I said: 'Yes.' He said: 'Nothing prevented me from giving you an answer when you made the offer to me except the fact that I had heard the Messenger of Allah speak of her, and I did not want to disclose the secret of the Messenger of Allah; if he had left her, then I would have married her.'"
Sunan an-Nasa'i Book 26, Hadith 53
My father said, "Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) was proceeding at night on one of his journeys and `Umar bin Al-
Khattab was going along with him. `Umar bin Al-Khattab asked him (about something) but Allah's
Apostle did not answer him. `Umar asked him again, but he did not answer him. He asked him again
(for the third time) but he did not answer him. On that `Umar bin Al-Khattab addressed himself
saying, "May your mother be bereaved of you, O `Umar, for you have asked Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) thrice,
yet he has not answered you." `Umar said, "Then I made my camel run fast and took it in front of the
other Muslims, and I was afraid that something might be revealed in my connection. I had hardly
waited for a moment when I heard somebody calling me. I said, 'I was afraid that something might
have been revealed about me.' Then I came to Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) and greeted him. He (i.e. the Prophet)
said, 'Tonight there has been revealed to me, a Sura which is dearer to me than (all the world) on
which the sun rises,' and then he recited: 'Verily! We have granted you (O Muhammad) A manifest
victory." (48.1)
Sahih al-Bukhari Book 64, Hadith 219
I was a blacksmith In the Pre-Islamic period of ignorance, and 'Asi bin Wail owed me some money. I
went to him to demand it, but he said to me, "I will not pay you unless you reject faith in
Muhammad." I replied, "By Allah, I will never disbelieve Muhammad till Allah let you die and then
resurrect you." He said, "Then wait till I die and come to life again, for then I will be given property
and offspring and will pay your right." So, thus revelation came: "Have you seen him who disbelieved
in Our signs and yet says, 'I will be given property and offspring?' " (19.77)
