Abu Talha was the richest man in Medina amongst the Ansar and Beeruha' (garden) was the most
beloved of his property, and it was situated opposite the mosque (of the Prophet.). Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)
used to enter it and drink from its sweet water. When the following Divine Verse were revealed: 'you
will not attain righteousness till you spend in charity of the things you love' (3.92), Abu Talha got up
in front of Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) and said, "O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)! Allah says in His Book, 'You will not attain
righteousness unless you spend (in charity) that which you love,' and verily, the most beloved to me of
my property is Beeruha (garden), so I give it in charity and hope for its reward from Allah. O Allah's
Apostle! Spend it wherever you like." Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) appreciated that and said, "That is perishable
wealth, that is perishable wealth. I have heard what you have said; I suggest you to distribute it among
your relatives." Abu Talha said, "I will do so, O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)." So, Abu Talha distributed it among
his relatives and cousins. The sub-narrator (Malik) said: The Prophet (ﷺ) said: "That is a profitable
wealth," instead of "perishable wealth".
Sahih al-Bukhari Book 40, Hadith 17
`Aisha said If the Prophet (ﷺ) saw a cloud In the sky, he would walk to and fro in agitation, go out and
come in, and the color of his face would change, and if it rained, he would feel relaxed." So `Aisha
knew that state of his. So the Prophet (ﷺ) said, I don't know (am afraid), it may be similar to what
happened to some people referred to in the Holy Quran in the following Verse: -- "Then when they
saw it as a dense cloud coming towards their valleys, they said, 'This is a cloud bringing us rain!' Nay,
but, it is that (torment) which you were asking to be hastened a wind wherein is severe torment."

Sahih al-Bukhari Book 59, Hadith 17
We were sitting in the mosque in the company of Allah's Messenger (ﷺ). A person came there and said: Allah's Messenger, I have committed an offence which deserves the imposition of hadd upon me, so impose it upon me. Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) kept silent. He repeated it and said: Allah's Messenger, I have committed an offence which deserves the imposition of hadd upon me, so impose it upon me. He (the Holy Prophet) kept silent, and it was at this time that Iqama was pronounced for prayer (and the prayer was observed). And when Allah's Apostle (ﷺ) had concluded the payer that person followed Allah's Messenger (ﷺ). Abu Umama said: I too followed Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) after he had concluded the prayer, so that I should know what answer he would give to that person. That person remained attached to Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) and said: Allah's Messenger, I have committed an offence which deserves imposition of hadd upon me, so impose it upon me. Abu Umama reported that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said to him: Didn't you see that as you got out of the house, you performed ablution perfectly well. He said: Allah's Messenger, of course. I did it. He again said to him: Then you observed prayer along with us. He said: Allah's Messenger, yes, it is so. Thereupon Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said to him: Verily, Allah has exempted you from the imposition of hadd, or he said. From your sin.
Sahih Muslim Book 50, Hadith 53
When Al-Hasan bin `Ali moved with army units against Muawiya, `Amr bin AL-As said to Muawiya,
"I see an army that will not retreat unless and until the opposing army retreats." Muawiya said, "(If the
Muslims are killed) who will look after their children?" `Amr bin Al-As said: I (will look after them).
On that, `Abdullah bin 'Amir and `Abdur-Rahman bin Samura said, "Let us meet Muawaiya and
suggest peace." Al-Hasan Al-Basri added: No doubt, I heard that Abu Bakra said, "Once while the
Prophet was addressing (the people), Al-Hasan (bin `Ali) came and the Prophet (ﷺ) said, 'This son of mine
is a chief, and Allah may make peace between two groups of Muslims through him."
Sahih al-Bukhari Book 92, Hadith 56
We went out with the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) from Mecca making for Medina. When we were near Azwara', he alighted, then raised his hands, and made supplication to Allah for a time, after which he prostrated himself, remaining a long time in prostration. Then he stood up and raised his hands for a time, after which he prostrated himself, remaining a long time in prostration.
He then stood up and raised his hands for a time, after which he prostrated himself. Ahmad mentioned it three times.
He then said: I begged my Lord and made intercession for my people, and He gave me a third of my people, so I prostrated myself in gratitude to my Lord. Then I raised my head and begged my Lord for my people, and He gave me a third of my people, so I prostrated myself in gratitude to my Lord. Then I raised my head and begged my Lord for my people and He gave me the remaining third, so I prostrated myself in gratitude to my Lord.
Abu Dawud said: When Ahmad b. Salih narrated this tradition to us, he omitted the name of Ash'ath b. Ishaq, but Musa b. Sahl al-Ramli narrated it to us through him.
Sunan Abi Dawud Book 15, Hadith 299
Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) sent a group of Ansari men to kill Abu-Rafi`. One of them set out and entered their
(i.e. the enemies) fort. That man said, "I hid myself in a stable for their animals. They closed the fort
gate. Later they lost a donkey of theirs, so they went out in its search. I, too, went out along with them,
pretending to look for it. They found the donkey and entered their fort. And I, too, entered along with
them. They closed the gate of the fort at night, and kept its keys in a small window where I could see
them. When those people slept, I took the keys and opened the gate of the fort and came upon Abu
Rafi` and said, 'O Abu Rafi`. When he replied me, I proceeded towards the voice and hit him. He
shouted and I came out to come back, pretending to be a helper. I said, 'O Abu Rafi`, changing the
tone of my voice. He asked me, 'What do you want; woe to your mother?' I asked him, 'What has
happened to you?' He said, 'I don't know who came to me and hit me.' Then I drove my sword into his
belly and pushed it forcibly till it touched the bone. Then I came out, filled with puzzlement and went
towards a ladder of theirs in order to get down but I fell down and sprained my foot. I came to my
companions and said, 'I will not leave till I hear the wailing of the women.' So, I did not leave till I
heard the women bewailing Abu Rafi`, the merchant pf Hijaz. Then I got up, feeling no ailment, (and
we proceeded) till we came upon the Prophet (ﷺ) and informed him."
