Yahya related to me from Malik from Malik from Abu Hazim ibn
Dinar from Sahl ibn Sad as-Saidi that a woman came to the Messenger of
Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and said, "Messenger
of Allah! I have given myself to you." She stood for a long time, and
then a man got up and said, "Messenger of Allah, marry her to me if
you have no need of her." The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him
and grant him peace, said, "Do you have anything to give her as a
bride-price?" He said, "I possess only this lower garment of mine."
The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said,
"If you give it to her you will not have a garment to wear so look for
something else." He said, "I have nothing else." He said, "Look for
something else, even if it is only an iron ring." He looked, and found
that he had nothing. The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and
grant him peace, said, "Do you know any of the Quran?" He said, "Yes.
I know such-and-such a sura and such-and-such a sura," which he named.
The Messengerof Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said
to him, "I have married her to you for what you know of the Quran."
Muwatta Malik Book 28, Hadith 8
Az-Zubair said, "I met Ubaida bin Sa`id bin Al-As on the day (of the battle) of Badr and he was
covered with armor; so much that only his eyes were visible. He was surnamed Abu Dhat-al-Karish.
He said (proudly), 'I am Abu-al-Karish.' I attacked him with the spear and pierced his eye and he died.
I put my foot over his body to pull (that spear) out, but even then I had to use a great force to take it
out as its both ends were bent." `Urwa said, "Later on Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) asked Az-Zubair for the spear
and he gave it to him. When Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) died, Az-Zubair took it back. After that Abu Bakr
demanded it and he gave it to him, and when Abu Bakr died, Az-Zubair took it back. `Umar then
demanded it from him and he gave it to him. When `Umar died, Az-Zubair took it back, and then
`Uthman demanded it from him and he gave it to him. When `Uthman was martyred, the spear
remained with `Ali's offspring. Then `Abdullah bin Az-Zubair demanded it back, and it remained with
him till he was martyred.
Sahih al-Bukhari Book 64, Hadith 49
He asked Abu Hurairah: "Did you offer the fear prayer with the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)?" Abu Hurairah said: "Yes." He asked: "When?" He said: "In the year of the campaign to Najd. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) stood up to pray 'Asr and a group stood with him, and another group as facing the enemy, with their backs toward the Qiblah. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said the takbir, and they all said the takbir, those who were with him and those who were with him facing the enemy. Then the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) bowed once and the group that was with him bowed, then he and the group that was with him prostrated twice, while the others were standing facing the enemy. Then the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) stood up and the group that was with him stood and went to face the enemy, and the group that had been facing the enemy came and bowed and prostrated while the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) was standing there. Then they stood up, and the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) bowed again, and they bowed and prostrated with him. Then the group that had been facing the enemy came and bowed and prostrated, while the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and those who were with him were sitting. Then the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said the taslim and they all said the taslim. So the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) had prayed two rak'ahs and each of the two groups had prayed two rak'ahs."
