that Jabir bin 'Abdullah Al-Ansari said: "One day the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) came out to us and said: "While I was sleeping I had a vision as if Jibra'il was at my feet. One of them said to his companion: 'Make a parable for him' so he said: 'Listen so that your ears may hear. Hearken so that your heart may understand! The parable of you and your Ummah is but the parable of a king who conquers a land, then he constructs a house in it. Then he places a table-spread in it, then he sends a messenger to call the people to eat from it. Among them are those who answer the call of the messenger, and among them are those who forsake it. So Allah is the king and the land is Islam, and the house is Paradise, and you O Muhammad! You are the Messenger, so whoever responds to you he enters Islam, and whoever enters Islam he enters Paradise, and whoever enters Paradise, he shall eat of what is in it.'"
Jami` at-Tirmidhi Book 44, Hadith 2
Malik related to me from Said ibn Amr Shurahbil ibn Said ibn Sad
ibn Ubada from his father that his father said, ''Sad ibn Ubada went
out with the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him
peace, in one of his raids and his mother was dying in Madina. Someone
said to her, 'Leave a testament.' She said, 'In what shall I leave a
testament? The property is Sad's property.' Then she died before Sad
returned. When Sad ibn Ubada returned, that was mentioned to him. Sad
said,
'Messenger of Allah! Will it help her if I give sadaqa
for her?' The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him
peace, said, 'Yes' Sad said, 'Such-and-such a garden is sadaqa for
her,' naming the garden."
Muwatta Malik Book 36, Hadith 70
"Whoever spends on a pair (of things) in the cause of Allah will be called in Paradise: 'O slave of Allah, here is prosperity.' Whoever is one of the people of Salah, he will be called from the gate of Paradise, Whoever is one of the people of jihad, he will be called from the gate of paradise. Whoever is one of the people of charity, he will be called from the gate of Paradise. Whoever is one of the people who fast, he will be called from the gate of Ar-Rayyan." Abu Bakr, may Allah be pleased with him, said: "O Messenger of Allah, no distress or need will befall the one who is called from those gates. Will there be anyone who will be called from all these gates?" The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "Yes, and I hope that you will be one of them."
Sunan an-Nasa'i Book 25, Hadith 99
I said to 'A'isha: I do not see any harm to me if I do not circumambulate betweez al-Safa' and al-Marwa. She said: On what ground do you say so? (I said: ) Since Allah, the Exalted and Majestic, says:" Verily al-Safa' and al-Marwa are among the Signs of Allah." It (your assertion) were (correct), it would have been said like this:" There is no harm for him, that he should not circumambulate between them." It (this verse) has been revealed about the people of Ansar. Whenever they pronounced the Talbiya, they pronounced it in the name of al-Manat during the Days of Ignorance; so they (thought) that it was not permissible for them (for the Muslims) to circumambulate between and al-Marwa. When they (the Muslims) came with Allah's Apostle (may peace he upon him) for Hajj, they mentioned it to him. So Allah, the Exalted and Majestic, revealed this verse. By my life, Allah will not complete the Hajj of one who has not circumambulated between al-Safa and al-Marwa.
Sahih Muslim Book 15, Hadith 286
Thursday! And how great that Thursday was! The ailment of Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) became worse (on
Thursday) and he said, fetch me something so that I may write to you something after which you will
never go astray." The people (present there) differed in this matter, and it was not right to differ before
a prophet. Some said, "What is wrong with him ? (Do you think ) he is delirious (seriously ill)? Ask
him ( to understand his state )." So they went to the Prophet (ﷺ) and asked him again. The Prophet (ﷺ) said,
"Leave me, for my present state is better than what you call me for." Then he ordered them to do three
things. He said, "Turn the pagans out of the 'Arabian Peninsula; respect and give gifts to the foreign
delegations as you have seen me dealing with them." (Sa`id bin Jubair, the sub-narrator said that Ibn
`Abbas kept quiet as rewards the third order, or he said, "I forgot it.") (See Hadith No. 116 Vol. 1)
Sahih al-Bukhari Book 64, Hadith 453
“A man stood up in front of Al-Hasan bin Ali, after he pledged to Mu’awiyah, so he said: ‘You have made fools of the believers.’ – or: ‘O you who has made fools of the believers’ – So he said: ‘Do not scold me so, may Allah have mercy upon you, for indeed the Prophet had a dream in which he saw Banu Umayyah upon his Minbar. That distressed him, so (the following) was revealed: Verily We have granted you Al-Kauthar (O Muhammad) meaning a river in Paradise, and (the following) was revealed: ‘Verily We have sent it down on the Night of Al-Qadr. And what will make you know what the Night of Al-Qadr is? The Night of Al-Qadr is better than a thousand months, in which Banu Umayyah rules after you O Muhammad.” Al-Qasim said: “So we counted them, and found that they were one-thousand months, not a day more nor less.”
Jami` at-Tirmidhi Book 47, Hadith 402
When Allah Apostle was in Ta'if (trying to conquer it), he said to his companions, "Tomorrow we will
return (to Medina), if Allah wills." Some of the companions of Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "We will not
leave till we conquer it." The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Therefore, be ready to fight tomorrow." On the following
day, they (Muslims) fought fiercely (with the people of Ta'if) and suffered many wounds. Then
Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "Tomorrow we will return (to Medina), if Allah wills." His companions kept
quiet this time. Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) then smiled.
Sahih al-Bukhari Book 78, Hadith 114
Al-Aqra' bin Habis said to the Prophet (ﷺ) "Nobody gave you the pledge of allegiance but the robbers of
the pilgrims (i.e. those who used to rob the pilgrims) from the tribes of Aslam, Ghifar, Muzaina." (Ibn
Abi Ya'qub is in doubt whether Al-Aqra' added. 'And Juhaina.') The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Don't you think
that the tribes of Aslam, Ghifar, Muzaina (and also perhaps) Juhaina are better than the tribes of Bani
Tamim, Bani Amir, Asad, and Ghatafan?" Somebody said, "They were unsuccessful and losers!" The
Prophet said, "Yes, by Him in Whose Hands my life is, they (i.e. the former) are better than they (i.e.
the latter).
