My friends sent me to Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) asking him to provide them with mounts as they were going along with him in jaish al-'Usrah (the army of destitutes or of meagre means or army setting out during the hard times and that is the occasion of the expedition of Tabuk) I said: Apostle of Allah, my friends have sent me to you so that you may provide them with mounts. He (the Holy Prophet) said: By Allah, I cannot provide you with anything to ride. And it so happened that he was at that time much perturbed. I little knew of it, so I came back with a heavy heart on account of the refusal of Allah's Messenger (ﷺ), and the fear that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) might have some feelings against me. I returned to my friends and informed them about what Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) had said. I had hardly stayed for a little that I heard Bilal calling: 'Abdullah b. Qais. I responded to his call. He said: Hasten to Allah's Messenger (ﷺ), he is calling you, When I came to the Prophet (ﷺ) he said: Take this pair, this pair, and this pair (i. e. six camels which he had bought from Sa'd), and take them to y, our friends and say: Verily Allah (or he said: Verily Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) has provided you with these animals. So ride upon them. Abu Musa said: I went along with them to my friends and said: Verily Allah's messenger (ﷺ) has provided you with these animals for riding; but by Allah, I shall not leave you until some of you go along with me to him who had heard the talk of Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) then I asked him for you, and his refusal for the first time, and then his granting them to me subsequently; so you should not think that I narrated to you something which he did not say. They said to me: By Allah, in our opinion you are certainly truthful, and we would do as you like. So Abu Musa went along withsome of the menfrom them until they came to those who had heard the words of Allah's Messenger (may, peace be upon him) and his refusal to (provide) them with (animals) ; and subsequently his granting (the animals) to them; and they narrated to them exactly as Abu Masa had narrated to them.
Sahih Muslim Book 27, Hadith 11
“I entered with the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), I and Khalid bin Al-Walid, upon Maimunah so she brought us a vessel of milk. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) drank from it. I was upon his right and Khalid was upon left, so he said to me: ‘The (turn to) drink is for you, so if you wish, you could choose to grant it to Khalid.’ So I said: ‘I would not prefer anyone (above myself) for your leftovers.’ Then the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: ‘Whoever Allah feeds some food, then let him say: “O Allah, bless it for us, and feed us better than it, (Allāhumma bārik lanā fīhi wa aṭ`imnā khairan minhu)” and whomsoever Allah gives milk to drink, then let him say: “O Allah bless it for us, and grant us increase in it (Allāhumma bārik lanā fīhi wa zidnā minhu).” And the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, ‘There is nothing that suffices in the place of food and drink except for milk.’”
Jami` at-Tirmidhi Book 48, Hadith 86
One of the sons of Abu Talha became sick and died and Abu Talha at that time was not at home.
When his wife saw that he was dead, she prepared him (washed and shrouded him) and placed him
somewhere in the house. When Abu Talha came, he asked, "How is the boy?" She said, "The child is
quiet and I hope he is in peace." Abu Talha thought that she had spoken the truth. Abu Talha passed
the night and in the morning took a bath and when he intended to go out, she told him that his son had
died, Abu Talha offered the (morning) prayer with the Prophet (ﷺ) and informed the Prophet (ﷺ) of what
happened to them. Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "May Allah bless you concerning your night. (That is, may
Allah bless you with good offspring)." Sufyan said, "One of the Ansar said, 'They (i.e. Abu Talha and
his wife) had nine sons and all of them became reciters of the Quran (by heart).' "

The news about the differences amongst the people of Bani `Amr bin `Auf reached Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)
and so he went to them along with some of his companions to effect a reconciliation between them.
Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) was delayed there, and the time of the prayer was due. Bilal went to Abu Bakr and
said to him, "Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) has been delayed (there) and the time of prayer is due. So will you lead
the people in prayer?" Abu Bakr said, "Yes, if you wish." Bilal pronounced the Iqama and Abu Bakr,
went forward and said Takbir for the people. In the meantime Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) came crossing the rows
(of the praying people) and stood in the (first) row and the people started clapping. Abu Bakr, would
never glance sideways in his prayer but when the people clapped much he looked back and (ﷺ)
Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) . Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) beckoned him to carry on the prayer. Abu Bakr raised his hands and
thanked Allah, and retreated till he reached the (first) row. Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) went forward and led the
people in the prayer. When he completed the prayer he faced the people and said, "O people! Why did
you start clapping when something unusual happened to you in the prayer? Clapping is only for
women. So whoever amongst you comes across something in the prayer should say, 'Subhan-Allah'
for there is none who will not turn round on hearing him saying Subhan-Allah. O Abu Bakr! What
prevented you from leading the people in the prayer when I beckoned you to do so?" Abu Bakr
replied, "How dare the son of Abu Quhafa lead the prayer in the presence of Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) ?"
