“The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)
offered prayer, and I am not sure whether he did something extra or
omitted something. He asked, and we told him, so he turned to face the
Qiblah and prostrated twice, then he said the Salam. Then he turned
to face us and said: ‘If any new command has been revealed
concerning the prayer, I would certainly have told you. But I am only
human and I forget and you forget. If I forget, then remind me. And
if anyone of you is uncertain about the prayer, let him do what is
closest to what is correct, then complete the prayer, say the Salam
and prostrate twice.”
Sunan Ibn Majah Book 5, Hadith 409
Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) addressed the people saying, "Don't you know what is the day today?" They replied,
"Allah and His Apostle know better." We thought that he might give that day another name. The
Prophet said, "Isn't it the day of An-Nahr?" We replied, "Yes. O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)." He then said, "What
town is this? Isn't it the forbidden (Sacred) Town (Mecca)?" We replied, "Yes, O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)." He
then said, "Your blood, your properties, your honors and your skins (i.e., bodies) are as sacred to one
another like the sanctity of this day of yours in this month of yours in this town of yours. (Listen)
Haven't I conveyed Allah's message to you?" We replied, "Yes" He said, "O Allah! Be witness (for it).
So it is incumbent upon those who are present to convey it (this message of mine) to those who are
absent because the informed one might comprehend what I have said better than the present audience
who will convey it to him.)" The narrator added: In fact, it was like that. The Prophet (ﷺ) added, "Beware!
Do not renegade as disbelievers after me by striking (cutting) the necks of one another."
Sahih al-Bukhari Book 92, Hadith 29
"I have not seen anyone closer in conduct, way, and manners to that of the Messenger of Allah in regards to standing and sitting, than Fatimah the daughter of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)." She said "Whenever she would enter upon the Prophet (ﷺ) he would stand to her and kiss her, and he would sit her in his sitting place. Whenever the Prophet (ﷺ) entered upon her she would stand from her seat, and kiss him and sit him in her sitting place. So when the Prophet (ﷺ) fell sick and Fatimah entered, she bent over and kissed him. Then she lifted her head and cried, then she bent over him and she lifted her head and laughed. So I said: 'I used to think that this one was from the most intelligent of our women, but she is really just one of the women.' So when the Prophet (ﷺ) died, I said to her: 'Do you remember when you bent over the Prophet (ﷺ) and you lifted your head and cried, then you bent over him, then you lifted your head and laughed. What caused you to do that?' She said: 'Then, I would be the one who spreads the secrets. He (ﷺ) told me that he was to die from his illness, so I cried. Then he told me that I would be the quickest of his family to meet up with him. So that is when I laughed.'"
Jami` at-Tirmidhi Book 49, Hadith 272
“I was with the
Messenger
of Allah (ﷺ) on a journey. One morning I drew close to
him when we
were on the move and said: ‘O Messenger of Allah, tell
me of an action
that will gain me admittance to Paradise and keep me
far away from
Hell.’ He said: ‘You have asked for something
great, but it is easy
for the one for whom Allah makes it easy.
Worship Allah and do not
associate anything in worship with Him,
establish prayer, pay charity,
fast Ramadan, and perform Hajj to the
House.’ Then he said: ‘Shall I
not tell you of the means of
goodness? Fasting is a shield, and
charity extinguishes sin as water
extinguishes fire, and a man’s
prayer in the middle of the night.’
Then he recited: “Their sides
forsake their beds” until he
reached: “As a reward for what they used
to do.” Then
he said: ‘Shall I not tell you of the head of
the matter, and its
pillar and pinnacle? (It is) Jihad.’ Then he said:
‘Shall I not
tell you of the basis of all that?’ I said: ‘Yes.’ He
took hold
of his tongue then said: ‘Restrain this.’ I said: ‘O Prophet
of
Allah, will we be brought to account for what we say?’ He said:
‘May your mother not found you, O Mu’adh! Are people thrown onto
their
faces in Hell for anything other than the harvest of their
tongues?’”
Sunan Ibn Majah Book 36, Hadith 48
Allah's Messenger (way peace be upon him) said to me: When you let off your dog, recite the name of Allah, and if it catches (game for you) and you find it alive, then slaughter it; if you find it killed and that (your dog) has eaten nothing out of that, (even then) you may eat it; but if you find along with your dog another dog, and (the game an) dead, then don't eat, for you do not know which of the two has killed it. And if you shoot your arrow, recite the name of Allah, but if it (game) goes out of your sight for a day and you do not find on that but the mark of your arrow, then eat that it you so like, but if you find it drowned in water, then don't eat that.
Sahih Muslim Book 34, Hadith 10
